Frequently Asked Questions - NI-WL30 PANASONIC

How do I remove limescale from my Panasonic NI-WL30 iron?
Use the self-clean function: fill the water tank, set the iron to maximum temperature, unplug it, hold it over a sink, and press the self-clean button until the water tank is empty. Repeat every 2-3 months.
Why is my iron not heating up?
Check that the iron is placed correctly on the charging base. Ensure the base is plugged into a working outlet. The iron may have auto shut-off activated; move the iron to reset.
Can I use tap water in the NI-WL30?
Yes, but for best performance and to reduce scale, use a mixture of 50% distilled water and 50% tap water. Avoid using 100% distilled water as it may affect steam production.
How do I clean the soleplate?
Unplug and cool the iron. Wipe the ceramic soleplate with a damp cloth. For stubborn residue, use a mild non-abrasive cleaner. Never use steel wool.
What is the warranty period for the NI-WL30?
Panasonic typically offers a 2-year warranty on cordless irons. Keep your purchase receipt for service claims.
Can I use the iron on delicate fabrics?
Yes, use the temperature dial to select the appropriate setting for silk or synthetic fabrics. Use the spray function for wrinkles without direct contact.
How long does the iron stay hot off the base?
The iron retains heat for about 30-60 seconds off the base, allowing you to iron multiple items before recharging.
Why is steam not coming out?
Ensure the water tank is filled (at least 1/4 full). Wait for the iron to reach the set temperature. If no steam, descale using the self-clean function.
Can I store the iron with water in the tank?
No, empty the water tank after each use to prevent scale buildup and leaks. Store the iron in an upright position.
Where can I find spare parts for the NI-WL30?
Authorized Panasonic service centers and online retailers sell replacement soleplates, charging bases, and water tank caps. Check the user manual for part numbers.
