How to turn on and adjust volume of HDE 1030 receiver?

Insert the power plug (1), then turn on the receiver with button (3) and adjust volume with the same button.

How to change channel on the receiver?

Use button (2) to select the reception channel. This applies only to two- or three-channel receivers.

What to do if I hear no sound?

Check that the device is on. If sound is absent, the batteries may be defective or transmission interrupted. Contact your Sennheiser dealer if the problem persists.

What to do if sound is distorted?

Sound distortion indicates discharged batteries. Replace or recharge them.

How to clean ear tips?

Remove the ear tips from the receiver and clean them with soapy water. Replacement ear tips are available from your Sennheiser dealer.

Can I use multiple receivers at the same time?

Yes, you can simultaneously use up to three receivers on different frequencies or channels for multilingual guided tours. Frequency selection must be done with your Sennheiser dealer.

What is the battery life?

Battery life is approximately 8 hours with a consumption of 7 mA.

How to recharge the batteries?

Use the EZL 1030 carrying case or an L 1030-10 charging strip with an appropriate power supply unit. The BA90 batteries are recharged in these devices.

Putting the receiver into operation

Insert accuplug ①.
Select receiver channel ②. (Only for two or three-channel receivers.)
Turn the receiver on and adjust the volume ③.

After use

If you are not going to use the HDE 1030 for a period, please switch it off by turning the volume control off until it clicks (3).

Changing the identification markers

To easily distinguish between receivers that have been set to different frequencies a set of colour-coded identification markers KEN 1030 ④ can be used for labelling the different frequencies.

Since the markers are inserted into the front of the receiver, the different frequencies can be clearly recognized even from a distance. This is especially advantageous when it comes to sorting the receivers after an event.

Simultaneous operation of several tour guide systems

Since it is possible to switch between up to three frequencies several guided tours can be conducted at the same time. Another way would be to select different preset frequencies for the receivers (see VERSIONS).

Cleaning and replacing the ear pads

The ear pads can be removed from the receiver and cleaned with soapy water or sterilised by using the same solution as is used by mothers to sterilise the teat of a babies bottle. Rinse under clear water, then let dry well.

Replacement ear pads can be obtained directly from your local Sennheiser agent.
