General safety instructions

Risk of electric shock!
- The power cable (15) must not be damaged. Never replace a damaged power cable (15), instead contact
our hotline (see "Warranty information" on page 47). There is a risk of electric shock in the case of a damaged power cable (15).
- Do not open the blender housing - it contains no serviceable parts. Opening the housing can expose you to the risk of electric shock.
-
If you notice any smoke, unusual noises or strange smells, switch off the device immediately and remove the plug from the mains socket. If this occurs, do not continue to use the device and have it checked out by an expert. Never inhale smoke from a possible device fire. If you do inadvertently inhale smoke, seek medical attention. Smoke inhalation can be damaging to your health.
-
Make sure that the power cable (15) cannot be damaged by sharp edges or hot spots. After use, always wind the power cable (15) back around the cord wrap (14) underneath the motor unit (8).
- Make sure that the power cable (15) cannot become crushed or squashed.
- The device must always be disconnected from the mains when left unsupervised and before assembly, disassembly or cleaning.
-
When disconnecting the mains plug from the mains socket, always pull on the plug and never on the cable itself.
-
If you notice visible damage to the blender or the power cable (15), switch off the device, remove the mains plug from the mains socket, and contact customer service (see "Warranty information" on page 47).
- Only connect the blender to a properly installed, easily accessible mains socket whose mains voltage corresponds to that on the rating plate. After connecting the device, the mains socket must still be easily accessible so that you can remove the mains plug quickly in the event of an emergency.

- Never immerse the motor unit (8), the power cable (15) or the mains plug in water or other liquids. If liquid does penetrate the motor unit (8), disconnect the plug from the mains socket immediately and contact the hotline (see "Warranty information" on page 47).

Warning about property damage
- Do not leave the blender unattended while running so you can react quickly in the case of hazards.

- Remove thick or tough fruit skins (e.g. pineapple, citrus fruits, etc.) before blending.

Risk of overheating and fire
- Only ever operate the blender with the blender jug (4) filled and never empty.
- Do not use the device in direct sunlight or near heating devices (heaters, stoves, ovens, etc.).
- Do not place hot or boiling foods in the blender jug (4). Otherwise the motor unit (8) could overheat or the blender jug (4) could crack. Always leave hot or boiling foods to cool down first before adding them to the blender jug (4) and processing with the blender.
- If the cutting blades (6) do not turn or turn only very slowly after you switch it on, switch off the device immediately and remove the mains plug from the socket. Check whether the food is too tough, whether the cutting blades are stuck against a large piece or the device has been incorrectly assembled.

Risk of injury
- Check that the blender is in perfect working order before each use. If there is any visible damage, do not use the blender. This applies in particular to the power cable (15), the motor unit (8) and the blender jug (4).
