Frequently Asked Questions - 2 in 1 Professional Steam Mop FAKIR
Why does my Fakir 2 in 1 Steam Mop not turn on?
Ensure it is plugged securely into a 220-240V AC outlet. Check the fuse or circuit breaker. If it still does not work, contact an authorized Fakir service center.
Why is no steam coming out?
Check if the water tank is empty. If so, refill it. Also inspect the steam nozzle for blockages. If these are fine, contact Fakir service.
Why does my steam mop leave excess water on the floor?
The cleaning pad may be too wet. Replace it with a dry one. Ensure the pad is correctly attached. Also allow the mop to heat up for 30 seconds before use to ensure steam is hot.
Why is the steam mop hard to push?
Make sure the cleaning pad is correctly attached and not excessively dirty or wet. Replace the pad if needed.
Why are my floors streaky or cloudy after steaming?
The cleaning pad might be dirty. Replace it. If you washed the pad with powder detergent, residue may remain; wash again with liquid detergent. For greasy areas like kitchens, pre-clean with a degreaser. Avoid leaving the mop in one spot too long.
Can I use the steam mop on carpets?
Yes, but only with the carpet glider accessory attached to the rectangular mop head. It is designed for deodorizing and freshening, not stain removal.
How do I clean the handheld steamer nozzle?
Unplug the unit and allow it to cool. Use a small diameter metal wire (or the provided cleaning tool) to gently remove mineral deposits from the nozzle.
How do I wash the microfiber cleaning pads?
Wash separately from other fabrics to avoid lint. Use only liquid detergent; no powder detergent, fabric softener, or bleach. If threads appear, carefully cut them with scissors; do not pull.
What water should I use?
Tap water is acceptable, but if you have hard water, we recommend using distilled water to prevent mineral buildup and improve performance.
How do I store the steam mop after use?
Unplug and allow to cool completely. Remove the cleaning pad. Store upright in a cool, dry place. Do not store with a damp pad attached.
