Read the Operating Instructions carefully before use!
- Read these Operating Instructions carefully before using the machine.
- The machine must only be used by adults of sound judgement.
- Do not immerse the machine in liquid.
- The machine must not be used in areas where flammable liquids are stored or where flammable fumes/gases can occur.
- Store the machine in a dry place when not in use.
- Read through the instructions carefully. Familiarise yourself with all the controls and the right way to use the machine.
- This machine is only intended for mowing lawns. All other use, e.g. for cutting bushes, hedges, climbing plants, is prohibited in view of the risk of personal injury.
- Never allow children or persons not familiar with these instructions to use the lawn mower. Local regulations may impose restrictions on the age of users.
• Never mow if there are other persons, especially children, or animals, in the vicinity. - Remember that the operator is responsible for accidents that happen to other people or their property.
- Never use the machine if you are under the influence of drugs, alcohol or medication. Nor when you are tired or ill.
- Wear heavy-duty shoes and long trousers when mowing. Do not use the machine if you are barefoot or wearing sandals.
• Always wear ear protection.
• Carefully check the area to be mowed and remove all stones, twigs, steel wire and other objects. - Replace defective muffler.
- Check that the blades and attachments are not worn or damaged before using the machine. Replace worn or damaged parts in complete sets to ensure that the balance is not affected.
WARNING! Petrol is highly flammable.
- Store the fuel in special containers intended for this purpose.
- Only refill with petrol outdoors, and do not smoke while filling.
- Fill up with fuel before starting the engine. Never remove the filler cap or fill up with petrol while the engine is running or hot.
- If you spill any petrol, do not start the engine before moving the lawn mower away from the area where you have spilled it and avoid all activities that can create sparks until the petrol fumes have evaporated.
- Remember to screw on the cap for the petrol tank and the storage container after refilling.
• Do not run the engine in confined spaces where harmful carbon dioxide gas can accumulate.
- Only mow in daylight or in well-lit conditions.
- Avoid cutting wet grass.
- Make sure that you have a stable footing on slopes.
- Walk, do not run.
- Mow across slopes, never up or down with a lawn mower on wheels.
• Always be very careful when changing direction on a slope.
• Always be very careful when reversing or pulling the lawn mower towards you.
- Stop the engine if the lawn mower has to be tilted when moving it to ungrassed surfaces, or when moving the lawn mower to and from the area to be mowed.
- Never use the lawn mower with defective guards or without safety devices, e.g. when deflectors and/or grass collectors are not in place.
- Do not change the engine control settings, or race the engine.
• Start the engine carefully according to the instructions. Keep your feet away from the blades.
- Do not tilt the mower when starting the engine, unless this is necessary to start it. If so, do not tilt the lawn mower more than necessary, and only tilt the end furthest away from the operator.
- Keep your hands and feet away from the rotating blade and other rotating parts. Never poke your hands into the grass ejector opening on the lawn mower.
• If the machine has a grass ejector, keep it free from twigs and rubbish etc.
- Never lift or carry the lawn mower when the engine is running.
- Reduce the throttle when stopping the engine. If the engine is equipped with a fuel cock, turn it off when you have finished mowing.
-
Stop the engine and release the spark plug lead:
-
When leaving the lawn mower.
- When removing twigs and rubbish, or when the ejector is blocked.
- When checking, cleaning or servicing the machine.
- After hitting a foreign object and checking for damage or making repairs before starting the lawn mower again.
- When checking the machine after it has started to vibrate abnormally (check immediately).
-
Before filling up with more petrol.
-
Check that all nuts and screws are tight so that the machine is in safe working condition.
- Never store the machine with petrol in the tank in a building where the fumes can come into contact with naked flames or sparks.
- Allow the engine to cool before putting the machine in a storeroom.
• To reduce the risk of fire: clean grass, leaves and excess oil off the engine, muffler and petrol tank. - Replace worn or damaged parts to ensure safe operation.
• If the petrol tank needs emptying, this must be done outdoors. - Store the machine out of the reach of children.
• To protect the environment we recommend that you pay special attention to the following:
• Always use green petrol.
• Always use a funnel and/or petrol can with overflow protection to avoid spilling petrol when refilling. - Do not overfill the petrol tank.
• Do not overfill with engine and/or transmission oil (see instructions for correct amount).
• Collect all the oil when changing the oil. Do not spill. Take the oil to a recycling facility.
• Do not throw replaced oil filters into the rubbish bin. Take them to a recycling facility. - Replace the muffler if it is defective. Always use original spare parts for repairs.
• Always have the carburettor adjusted by a skilled technician when necessary. - Clean the air filter according to the instructions.
- When the machine is to be scrapped, take it to a recycling facility.

The declared vibration value, which has been measured by a standardised test method, can be used to compare different tools with each other and for a preliminary assessment of exposure.
WARNING! The actual vibration level when using power tools may differ from the specified maximum value, depending on how the tool is used. It is therefore necessary to determine which safety precautions are required to protect the user, based on an estimate of exposure in actual operating conditions (taking into account all stages of the work cycle, e.g. the time when the tool is switched off and when it is idling, in addition to the start-up time).
