The shaver is designed for clothes, curtains, blankets, and upholstered furniture. For delicate or long-hair fabrics, use the spacer attachment with adjustable height to avoid damage.

Why does my shaver not start?

The shaver will not operate if the shield is not properly fixed. Ensure the shield is securely attached. Also check that the ON/OFF switch is slid to the '1' position.

How do I adjust the cutting height?

Use the spacer attachment over the shield. The distance between the attachment and the shield can be adjusted (see Fig. 2 in the manual). This allows for different fabric thicknesses.

Can I use the shaver on clothes while they are being worn?

No, never use the shaver on clothes while they are on a person. This can cause injury. Always place clothing on a flat surface before shaving.

What should I avoid when using the shaver?

Avoid shaving over buttons, zips, seams, protruding parts, glued objects, and delicate areas. Test on a hidden area first.

What should I do if the power cord is damaged?

Before first use familiarize with the entire content of this manual

1. the unit must be plugged into network with parameters of the current the same as the parameters on the casing
2. the appliance must be unplugged by pulling the plug instead of the supply cord
3. do not merge the unit in water when cleaning it

INTENDED USE

The GDS6 shaver is designed to refresh various types of clothing and fabrics. Removing so called flocs or fuzz from the material makes it look fresh again.

The device can be used not only on clothes, but also on curtains, blankets or upholstered furniture. The distance pad with adjustable cutting length allows you to safely remove flocs without worrying that the refreshed material will be damaged.

HOW TO USE THE APPLIANCE

• The appliance can be used after charging the battery or by connecting to the mains
• Power cable should be properly connected to the socket (8).
• The appliance is equipped with an internal battery. Charging time is about 8 hours.
• In order to increase the battery life-span charging should be done in one uninterrupted cycle after full discharging
• Charge is indicated by a control light (5). The indicator light does not turn off when the battery is charged.
• After charging, the appliance should be disconnected from the mains and the power cord should be unplugged from the socket (8).

BATTERY REPLACEMENT

1. Open the battery case.
2. Take out the used battery
3. Install new baterry by putting one side of the battery bebeath the battery baffle and then pressing down the other side. Used batteries should be thrown away the containers specially designed for this purpose

HANDLING

- before start-up fix a shield (2).

Do not switch on the shaver when the shield is loose.

Note. The appliance does not operate in case the shield is fixed in an improper manner.

SPACER ATTACHMENT

For delicate fabrics or long-hair fabrics, put the spacer attachment over the cover (2) – Fig. 1.

The distance between the attachment and the cover can be adjusted - Fig. 2.

GUIDELINES

1. Do not shave clothes in case clothes are at a body. It may cause wounds on a body.

2. When shaving clothes pay special attention to:

3. areas around buttons and zips

4. protruding parts
5. connections - sews
6. object glued to clothes

7. delicate parts

8. Before use try the unit on a hidden part of a cloth.

9. Move the unit acc. to a pattern on a cloth.
10. If required move the unit alongside - vertically and horizontally
11. In case of 'flat materials lay two layers of a cloth and shave them on an iron board.
12. Do not switch the unit on when it is unnecessary, it may result in reduced life of the shield and the blade.

MAINTENANCE AND CLEANING

When the container is approx. 80% full clean it and internal blades as well. Before cleaning unplug the unit and switch it off.

• do not merge the unit in water
• to not use abrasive or other damaging cleaning agents
• clean the casing with a wet cloth
• remove the casing (2) twisting it counterclockwise
• remove the blade (3)
• using a little brush (10) clean the casing, blade and the drive mechanism
• empty the container (9)

Be careful then removing and cleaning the blade (3) since it is sharp Be gentle when cleaning the metallic foil of the casing (2). Do not press it.
