How do I turn on the scale?

Press the ON/OFF button once. The display will show '0'.

How do I change the unit of measurement?

Press the UNIT button repeatedly to cycle through grams (g), pounds-ounces (lb-oz), milliliters (ml), fluid ounces (fl oz), and cups (CUP).

How do I use the tare function?

Place the container with the first ingredient on the scale, then press the ZERO button. The display will show '0' and the 'T' symbol appears. Add the next ingredient. To exit tare, press ZERO again.

How accurate is the volume measurement?

Volume is calculated based on weight and density, so it is an estimate. Different brands of milk, oil, or flour may vary. Use ml or g for better accuracy.

What does 'Lo' mean on the display?

'Lo' indicates low battery. Replace the CR2032 battery.

What does 'Err' mean?

'Err' means the scale is overloaded. The weight exceeds 3000 g.

How do I clean the scale?

Clean the transparent cup with cold or warm water and mild detergent. Wipe the outside with a damp cloth. Do not immerse the cup or put it in the dishwasher.

Can I mix ingredients in the cup?

Yes, you can mix ingredients in the cup, but avoid pressing down on the base too hard to prevent damage to the internal scale.

How do I store the scale?

Store in a dark, dry place. Remove any food or liquid from the cup when not in use. Do not place heavy objects on top.

HOW TO USE THE APPLIANCE

Designed and engineered with the state-of-art technology and components, this instrument will provide reliable weight and volume measurement of different ingredients for baking and cooking.

SWITCHING ON

The scales are equipped with CR2032 battery. The battery cover is located on the bottom of the handle (5). Before first use, remove the foil strip protecting the battery.

MEASUREMENT OF WEIGHT

Place the scales on an even, hard and stable surface.

• switch the device ON by pressing the button (1) once
• wait until the display reads "0"
• select the unit of weight using the [UNIT] button: grams (g) or pounds-ounces (lb-oz)
• place the product in the cup (7)
• read the result

MEASUREMENT OF VOLUME

• switch the device ON by pressing the button (1) once
• wait until the display reads "0"
• select one of the indicated products: water, milk, oil or flour by pressing the [MODE] button repeatedly
• select the unit of weight using the [UNIT] button. Depending on the selected product, the following units of measurement are available: grams (g), milliliters (ml), pounds-ounces (oz/floz) or cups (CUP)
• place the product in the cup (7)
• read the result

The display accuracy for pounds-ounces (lb-oz) and cups (CUP) is 1/8. In order to obtain a wider range and better accuracy, select milliliters (ml) or grams (g) as the unit of measurement, then change it back to pounds-ounces or cups, if necessary.

Note: Volume is calculated by the device's processing unit on the basis of weight and density of a given product. There are various types of milk, oil, sugar or flour available on the market. Therefore, there may be some differences in volume measurement depending on the type of the product used. The volume displayed on the display should be treated as an estimation only.

TARE (zero calibration)

Various ingredients can be measured and mixed in one cup. After placing and weighing one product in the cup, you can add another product if the providing that the tare function has been used. In order to do this:

- place the cup with the first product in it on the base (6)

- press the [ZERO] button. The display will zero the indicated value and "T" symbol will appear in the lower part of the display.

Now you can add the next ingredient. Weight or volume of the last added ingredient can be measured. Use the same procedure with other ingredients of a given recipe.

Quitting the Tare function

In order to end the fare function (when the displays shows "0" and "T" symbol), you can press the [ZERO] button to restore the original value of weight or volume (value before using the tare function). "T" symbol will disappear.

The tare function and quitting the tare function work properly only when the cup is placed on a flat and stable surface.

In order to switch the device OFF, press the [ON/OFF] button for ca. 3 seconds. The scales switch off automatically after 5 minutes of inactivity.

IMPORTANT NOTE:

- It is easy and convenient to mix different ingredients in the cup. However when mixing your ingredients, you should avoid pressing down the bottom of the base where the sensitive weight scale components are located. Excessive force applied to the base of the cup may permanently damage the scale inside and provide inaccurate reading.

- The transparent cup can withstand up to maximum 70°C of food or liquid

Before pouring the products out from the cup, you should remove it from the base (6). If the cup must stay on the base, hold its edge with your thumb so it does not fall out (see picture on the right).

DISPLAY ERROR MESSAGES

The "Lo" message means that it is necessary to replace the battery.

REPLACING THE BATTERY:

1. Open the battery cover located on the bottom of the handle.
2. Remove the battery.
3. Insert a new battery (pay attention to the polarity)
4. Close the cover.

Dispose of the old batteries by putting them into special containers for batteries.

Error (Err)

The scale is overloaded. The weight or volume in the cup exceeds the maximum display range.

CLEANING AND STORAGE

• Only clean the inside of the transparent cup with cold or warm water together with optional mild cleaning detergent. Do not use hot water to clean the transparent cup as it can withstand up to 70°C maximum.
• Use damp cloth to clean the outside of the transparent cup, handle and the base.
• Never immerse the cup in water or put into dish washing machine for cleaning
• To extend product life span, remove any food or liquid from the cup when it is not in use so that it is not loaded with weight
• After cleaning, place the cup in a location with good air ventilation
