How to install the TL-WPA4226T CPL kit?

Plug one adapter near your router and connect it via an Ethernet cable. Plug the second adapter in the desired room. Press the Pair button on each adapter to synchronize them. The CPL LED should turn green.

What is the maximum CPL range?

The theoretical range is 300 meters on the electrical network, but it depends on wiring quality and actual distance. In practice, expect 100 to 200 meters for optimal speed.

Can I use the kit with other CPL adapters?

Yes, the kit is compatible with all CPL adapters conforming to HomePlug AV or AV2 standard. For optimal performance, use adapters from the same brand.

How to configure the Wi-Fi on the main adapter?

Log into the web interface via the adapter's IP address (default 192.168.1.1). Log in with 'admin' (default password 'admin'). In the 'Wireless' tab, set the SSID and password. Restart the adapter.

What to do if the CPL LED blinks or is off?

Check that both adapters are plugged into wall outlets (not power strips). Press the Pair button on each adapter again. If the problem persists, reset the adapters by holding the Reset button for 10 seconds.

The speed is lower than expected, what to do?

Avoid plugging adapters into power strips or surge protectors. Use direct wall outlets. Keep adapters away from electrical devices causing interference (chargers, motors). Check that the Ethernet cable is in good condition.

Can I plug the adapter into a switched outlet?

No, it is not recommended as the switch may cut power and interrupt the connection. Always plug into a permanent outlet.

How to reset the adapter to factory settings?

Hold the Reset button for about 10 seconds until the LEDs flash. Release, the adapter will restart with default settings.

The Wi-Fi LED does not turn on, why?

Check that Wi-Fi is enabled in the configuration interface. Briefly press the Wi-Fi button on the adapter to enable/disable it. If the LED remains off, reset the adapter.

Can I connect a USB device to the adapter?

No, this model does not have a USB port. Only Ethernet ports are available.

1. Connect the adapter to a LAN port of your router using an Ethernet cable.
2. Plug the powerline devices into the wall outlets near each other and on the same electrical circuit.
3. Pair the powerline devices.

A. Press the Pair button on the powerline adapter for 1 second. The Power LED starts blinking.

* If the Power LED does not blink, press the Pair button again.

B. Within 2 minutes, press the Pair button on the powerline extender for 1 second. The Power LED ⏻ starts blinking. When the Powerline LED turns on, it's done.

1. Relocate the powerline extender to a new location. Connect to the Wi-Fi using the SSID and password on the product label.

* A blinking or red Powerline LED 🔒 indicates poor signal strength. Move the extender to another location.

Tips: You can add more powerline devices to the existing powerline network by pairing these devices.

Attention

- Plug the powerline devices directly into the wall outlets but not the power strips.

- For passthrough powerline devices, plug the power strips into the integrated electrical sockets of the powerline devices.

Copy Wi-Fi Settings from Router to Extender

If your router supports WPS, you can follow the steps below to automatically copy the router's Wi-Fi settings (SSID and password) to the powerline extender.

1. Plug in the powerline extender near your router. Press the WPS button on your router.
2. Within 2 minutes, press the Wi-Fi button on the extender for 1 second.
3. When the 2.4GHz Wi-Fi LED and 5GHz Wi-Fi LED on the extender blink quickly for 3 seconds, and then stay on, it's done!

* 5GHz Wi-Fi is not available on single-band products. For multiple-band products, the powerline extender copies by default both 2.4GHz and 5GHz wireless settings at the same time. If it fails to copy both, your router may be only able to clone one band at a time. Please check your router's manual for support.

Note: The wireless settings can also be configured through the powerline extender's web interface or through the tpPLC app. You can download the app from the App Store or Google Play, or simply scan the QR code.

Q1. How do I reset my powerline extender?

A. With the extender powered on, press and hold the Reset button (use a pin if it is a hole) until all LEDs turn off. When all LEDs turn on again, the reset process is complete.

Q2. How to troubleshoot if there is no internet connection in my powerline network?

A1. Make sure all adapters and extenders are on the same electrical circuit.

A2. Make sure all Powerline LEDs 📋 are on. If not, pair your adapters and extenders again.

A3. Make sure all hardware connections are correctly and securely connected.

A4. Check if you have an internet connection by connecting the computer directly to the modem or router.

Q3. What can I do if a successfully-paired extender does not reconnect after being relocated?

A1. Make sure all powerline devices are on the same electrical circuit.

A2. Pair it again with another adapter or extender, and make sure the Powerline LED is on before relocating it.

A3. Check for possible interference, such as washers, air conditioners or other household appliances that may be too close to one of the powerline adapters or extenders.
