Electric Overblanket
●Introduction

Please make yourself familiar with the heated overblanket before preparing it for use or using it for the first time. Please
read the following operating instructions and the important safety instructions carefully. The heated overblanket must only be used as described and for the stated types of use. Keep these instructions in a safe place. If you pass the heated overblanket on to others you should also give them all of the documentation.
Properuse
This heated overblanket is designed to warm the human body. It must only be used as a cover, and not as an underlayer. The heated overblanket is not intended for use in hospitals or for commercial use. In particular it must not be used for babies or infants, persons who are insensitive to heat, helpless persons, or animals. Any use other than that described above or modification of the heated overblanket are not permissible and may lead to injury and / or damage to the heated overblanket. The manufacturer accepts no liability for any damage caused by improper use.

Failure to comply with the following instructions can cause personal injury or material damage (electric shock, skin burns, fire). The following safety instructions and hazard warnings are not only intended to protect your own health and the health of others, but also to prevent damage to the heated overblanket. Observe this safety advice. If you pass the heated overblanket on to anyone else, please pass on these operation instructions as well.

WARNING! DANGER TO LIFE AND ACCIDENT HAZARD FOR TODDLERS AND SMALL
CHILDREN! Never leave children unsupervised with the packaging materials. Danger of suffocation.
WARNING! DANGER OF ELECTRIC
SHOCK! Do not use the heated overblanket if it is damp. There is a risk of electric shock.
Do not use the mains power cable for purposes for which it was not intended, e.g. for carrying the heated overblanket, hanging it up or to pull the plug out of the mains socket. Keep the mains power cable away from heat, oil and sharp edges. If the mains power cable is damaged or severed, do not touch the mains power cable, but pull the mains plug out of the mains socket immediately. Damaged or tangled mains power cables increase the risk of electric shock.
DANGER OF ELECTRIC SHOCK! Do not stick needles or sharp objects into the heated overblanket. There is a risk of electric shock.

Important safety instructions

If you use a cardiac pacemaker,
please consult your doctor and the manufacturer of the pacemaker be-
fore using this heated overblanket. The electric and magnetic fields generated by the overblanket may under certain circumstances interfere with the operation of cardiac pacemakers. However, the levels are far below the permissible limits: details of these levels can be found in the „Technical data“ chapter.
WARNING! DANGER OF ELECTRIC
SHOCK AND INJURY! Check the heated
overblanket carefully prior to every use for signs of wear and / or damage. If you find such signs of damage, if the mains power cable is damaged or if this heated overblanket has not been used properly, it must be returned to the manufacturer or to a dealer before it is used again. Improper use, wear or damage can result in considerable dangers for the user. There is a danger of electric shock and injury.

RISK OF INJURY! Children or
anyone lacking the knowledge or experience to use the heated overblanket,
or anyone whose physical, sensory or mental capacities are limited, must not use the heated overblanket without supervision or instruction by a person responsible for their safety. Children must be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the heated overblanket. Risk of injury.

RISK OF INJURY! Do not use this
heated overblanket for helpless persons, infants or persons who are insensi-
tive to heat (e.g. diabetics, people with disease-related changes to the skin or scarred skin in the area of use, or after taking pain-relieving medication or consuming alcohol). Risk of injury.

Tested for harmful substances according to Oeko-Tex* Standard 100 06.0.43510 Hohenstein
heated overblanket satisfy the high human ecological requirements of Öko-Tex Standard 100,
as verified by the German Hohenstein Research Institute.

SK OF INJU RY FROM BuRNS!
This heated overblanket must not be used by children unless the control 1
has been pre-set by a parent or a person in charge, or if the child has been properly instructed in how to use the heated overblanket safely. There is a risk of receiving skin burns.

CAuTION! Take care that you do not fall asleep while the heated overblanket is in operation. Exces-
sively long use can cause skin burns.

CAUTION! Do not use the heated overblanket on parts of the body that are infected, injured or swollen.
Seek medical advice before using the heated overblanket if in doubt. Such inflammation, injuries and / or swelling may otherwise worsen.

CAuTION! Repairs must only be carried out by specially trained personnel or at a repair shop authorised
by the manufacturer, since special tools are necessary. Improper repairs may result in considerable danger for the user.

CAUTION! If the mains connection cable of this heated overblanket is damaged, in order to avoid causing
further danger it must be replaced by the manufacturer, a manufacturer-approved repair centre or a suitably qualified person. Risk of injury.

Avoid damage to the heated overblanket!
Please ensure that you:
- only connect the heated overblanket to the voltage indicated on the overblanket (label),
- only use the heated overblanket in combination with the control 1 indicated on the overblanket (label),

do not switch on the heated overblanket if it is folded or rucked,
- do not trap the heated overblanket,
- do not make sharp creases in the heated overblanket,
- do not place any objects, e.g. suitcases or a washing basket, on the heated overblanket when it is switched on,

- do not place any heat source, e.g. hot water bottle or the like, on the heated overblanket when it is switched on.
These may all damage the heated overblanket.
Do not cover the control and do not lay it on the heated overblanket when the overblanket is in operation. The electronic components in the control cause the control to heat up slightly during operation.
Do not pull, twist or crease the cables. These may all damage the heated overblanket.
●Safetysystem
Note: The heated overblanket is equipped with a safety system. Its electronic sensor technology prevents the entire surface of the heated overblanket from overheating by automatically switching off in the event of a fault.
If the safety system switches the heated overblanket off automatically as a result of a fault, the function display 2 on the control 1 will no longer light up, even when the heated overblanket is switched on.
☐ Please note that, for safety reasons, the heated overblanket must not be used after a fault and must be returned to the service address indicated.
● Preparing the product for use
Note: When the heated overblanket is used for the first time, you may notice a smell of plastic; however, this will disappear after a short time.
Before use, connect the control to the heated overblanket using the plug-in connector 3 (see Fig. B).
- Switching on/off/Selecting the temperature
Switching on:
☐ Set the control to level 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 or 6 to switch the heated overblanket on.
Note: The function display 2 lights up after the heated overblanket is switched on.
Switching off:
☐ Set the control to level 0 to switch the heated overblanket off.
Note: The function display 2 goes out.
Selecting the temperature:
☐ Just before using the heated overblanket, set it to the highest temperature setting (level 6). This will cause the heated overblanket to warm up quickly.
☐ If you wish to leave the heated overblanket on for several hours, set the lowest temperature (level 1).

☐ Set the required temperature level on the control 1 (see fig. A).

Level 1: Minimum heat
Levels 2–5: Customised heat
Level 6: Maximum heat
●Automaticswitch-off
Note: The heated overblanket switches itself off automatically after approx. 180 minutes. The function display on the control 1 then starts flashing.
☐ To switch the heated overblanket back on, first select level 0 and after approx. 5 sec. select the desired temperature level.
☐ Switch the heated overblanket off (Level 0) or pull the mains plug out of the socket if you no longer wish to use the heated overblanket after automatic switch-off.

always remove the mains plug from the socket and disconnect the plug-in connector 3 together with the control 1 from the heated overblanket (see Fig. B). There is otherwise a risk of an electric shock.
DANGER OF ELECTRIC

SHOCK! Do not reconnect the control 1 to the heated overblanket until the connector 3 and the heated overblanket are completely dry. There is otherwise a risk of an electric shock.

DANGER OF ELECTRIC SHOCK! DANGER OF MATERIAL DAM-
AGE! Do not under any circumstances switch the heated overblanket on to dry. There is otherwise a risk of an electric shock.

RISK OF DAMAGE TO THE
PRODUCT AND/OR OTHER PROPERTY! Do not under any
cumstances use chemical cleaning agents or scouring agents to clean the heated overblanket and control 1. These may all damage the heated overblanket.

RISK OF DAMAGE TO THE
PRODUCT AND/OR OTHER PROPERTY! Never immerse the
control 1 in water or other liquids. It may otherwise be damaged.
☐ Use a dry, lint-free cloth for cleaning and care of the heated overblanket and the control 1.
☐ To remove more stubborn dirt, you can dampen the cloth slightly and use a little mild liquid detergent.
The heated overblanket is machine-washable. Set the washing machine to an extra gentle washing cycle at 30 °C.
For ecological reasons, please only wash the heated overblanket together with other textiles. Use a mild laundry detergent according to the manufacturer's instructions.
Please note that frequent washing will cause wear on the heated overblanket. It should therefore be washed no more than a maximum of 5 times in a washing machine during its lifetime.
RISK OF DAMAGE TO THE PRODUCT AND/OR OTHER PROPERTY! Please note that the
heated overblanket must not be dry-cleaned, bleached, wrung out, machine dried, mangled or ironed. These may all damage the heated overblanket.

RISK OF DAMAGE TO THE
PRODUCT AND/OR OTHER PROPERTY! Do not fasten the
heated overblanket with pegs or the like to dry. These may all damage the heated overblanket.
Note: Non-observance of the following warnings may damage the heated overblanket.
Do not use bleach. Do not use any cleaning agents containing bleach (such as heavy duty detergents).
Do not dry in a tumbler dryer.
Do not iron.

Storage

RISK OF DAMAGE TO THE
PRODUCT AND/OR OTHER PROPERTY! Let the heated over
blanket cool before putting it away. Otherwise material damage could occur.

heated overblanket by placing items on top of it during storage. Otherwise material damage could occur.
☐ If you do not intend to use the heated overblanket for any length of time, store it in the original packing in a dry place without weighing it down.
Disposal / Warranty / Service centre / Declaration of conformity
●Disposal

The packaging and packaging material consist of environmentally friendly materials. They can be disposed of at your local recycling facility.

Do not dispose of electrical devices with the household rubbish!
In accordance with European Directive 2002 / 96 / EC for waste electrical and electronic equipment and its transposition into national legislation, worn out electrical devices must be collected separately and taken for environmentally compatible recycling.
Contact your local refuse disposal authority for more details of how to dispose of your worn out heated overblanket.
● Warranty / Service centre
We provide a 3-year warranty covering faults in materials or manufacture of the heated overblanket from the purchase date.
The warranty does not cover:
- Damage resulting from improper use.
- Wear parts.
- Defects that were known to the customer at the time of purchase.
- Damage for which the customer was responsible.
This warranty does not affect the customer's legal rights.
The customer must provide proof of purchase in order for any warranty claims within the warranty period to be honoured. Claims under the warranty are honoured by
for a period of 3 years after the date of purchase. In the event of a warranty claim, the customer has the right to have the goods repaired by our own workshop or a workshop authorised by us. The heated overblanket must not be opened for any reason. Opening or modifying the device invalidates the warranty. This warranty does not grant any additional rights to the customer. Complaints are often initiated by difficulties encountered during use. Many of these complaints can be resolved by telephone or email. Please contact our Service Hot-line in the first instance, before you return the heated overblanket to the manufacturer.
