Before use
- Remove the grill from the packaging.
- Remove the grill plates by pressing the appropriate button on the front of the device at the same time as lifting the grill plate away. • Clean the grill plates as described under “Cleaning and maintenance”.
- After cleaning, put the plates back by putting them in position and pressing until a click is heard when the plates are seated correctly.
- Grease the grill plates with a little cooking oil before use.
- Wash the drip tray that sits in the forward edge beneath the appliance. Wipe the cover with a damp cloth.
- Place the appliance on a flat, heat-resistant surface.
Use
- Plug the appliance into a wall socket. OFF flashes in the display to indicate that the product is connected.
- Press the POWER button until the display lights up. The display shows 200° C which is the preset temperature.
- If you wish to change the temperature, press TEMP button and then press the + or minus button to the desired setting. The temperature display flashes until the temperature is reached (beep will sound).
- Then place the ingredients on the grill and lower the lid.
- Check that the temperature display has stopped flashing, and then set the desired time. Press the TIME button and set the desired number of minutes using the + and - buttons. The display starts to count down the time and the cooking begins. If the time setting is not changed, the grill will automatically switch over to the keep-warm function (80°C) about 5 minutes after the set
time has elapsed. The display will then count down from 60 minutes and then automatically switch off. The display will flash for 1 minute before the appliance finally switches off and OFF appears in the display.
- If you want, you can use the grill without setting the timer and just set the desired temperature. This means that the grill will not switch over to the keep-warm function. Instead, the grill will automatically switch off after 65 minutes. This is assuming that the grill is not switched off manually before the time has elapsed. The display will flash for 1 minute before it finally switches off. Remember to check the results regularly so that nothing burns.
This is an electronic product and cannot be used in environments with strong magnetic fields.
Warning! The steam from the grill is very hot, particularly when you open the lid!
Use an oven glove or saucepan holder when carefully opening the lid. If you are not satisfied with the results and need to grill a bit longer, close the lid again and continue grilling.
Once you have finished grilling, lift the ingredients off the grill using a plastic utensil (heat resistant). Do not use metal utensils, as these will damage the non-stick coating on the grill plates. Unplug the appliance. Do not leave the grill plugged in when it is empty. Do not use a knife on the ingredients when they are on the grill, as this may damage the coating.
Note that grease may splatter during the cooking.
Tips before grilling

- Grill only filleted fish, meat and bacon for more even grilling results.
- Marinate the ingredients at least 1 hour before grilling.
- Allow the ingredients to reach room temperature before placing them on the grill.
- Brush vegetables with oil for even grilling.
- Check the drip tray regularly to ensure that it does not overflow.

When is the food ready?
Lightly-grilled meat - the meat "springs" back when you press it. It feels springy.
Medium-grilled meat - the meat takes longer to "spring" back when you press it.
Well-grilled meat - meat is firm and does not "spring" back when you press it.
Chicken - pierce a hole in the meat with a fork. The juices should be completely bloodless when the chicken is fully grilled.
NOTE! Remove the meat from the grill before cutting it into pieces to avoid scratching the coating.
Grilled fish - ready when the fish easily separates.
Marinating
Make a few incisions in the meat so that it can more easily absorb the marinade.
Always use a container (non-metal) or a plastic bag to mix the marinade with the ingredients.
Marinate the ingredients for at least 1 hour before grilling.
The longer you marinate, the more tasty and tender the food will be. Fish requires a shorter marinating time than meat.
Cleaning and maintenance
• Always unplug before cleaning.
- Let the grill cool before cleaning.
• Never submerge the grill or flex in water or other liquid.
