How do I use the low pressure mode for detergent?

WARNING:

• The machine is not intended to be used by persons (children or adults) with any form of functional disorders, or by persons who do not have sufficient experience or knowledge on how to use it, unless they have received instructions concerning the use of the machine from someone who is responsible for their safety. Keep children under supervision to make sure they do not play with the machine.
• Check that none of the parts are damaged before use. Do not use the machine if it is damaged. Contact your dealer.

• Read these instructions carefully before use.

• Electrical connections must only be carried out by an authorised electrician. Electrical connections must comply with IEC60364-1.

• The machine must be connected to the mains supply with a residual current device with a maximum tripping current of 30mA .

• Only use chemicals recommended by the manufacturer. The use of other chemicals can put safety at risk.

• Do not use the machine near other persons who are not wearing safety clothing.

- High-pressure jets can be dangerous if they are not used properly. Do not point the jet at persons or animals, at live electrical equipment, or at the high-pressure washer unit.

• Water that has passed the check valve is not suitable for drinking water.

- High-pressure hoses, fittings and couplings are very important parts for the safe use of the machine. Only use hoses, fittings and couplings recommended by the manufacturer.

- Do not use the machine if the power cord or any other important parts, e.g. safety devices, high-pressure hoses and the trigger handle, are damaged.

- An extension cord must be waterproof.

- Unsuitable extension cords can cause a fire and/or electric shock.

- Do not use the machine at temperatures below 0^ C .

• Always pull out the complete extension cord.

- Place the machine on a level, stable surface when in use and during handling, transport and storage. If the machine tips over or drops it can cause personal injury.

- Switch off the machine immediately in the event of problems or malfunctioning. In the event of contact with chemicals, switch off the machine immediately and rinse with lots of water.

WARNING: ELECTRICAL SAFETY: An incorrectly connected earthed plug can result in electric shock. Consult an electrician or qualified technician if you have any questions about electrical connections or earthing. Never modify the plug in any way. If the plug does not fit the mains socket, contact an authorised electrician to install an earthed mains socket.

IMPORTANT:

• When starting the machine there may be a temporary voltage drop in the mains supply, which could affect other equipment. Such interference does not normally occur if the impedance in the mains supply Zmax is less than 0.335 ohm. You may need to contact your electricity supplier for more information.
• Check the power cord. A damaged power cord must be replaced by an authorised service centre, or qualified person, to ensure safe use.
• Do not use contaminated water. Fit an extra filter if there is a risk of getting sand in the incoming water (e.g. from your own well). Wear a suitable filter.

- The following items should be taken into consideration during the electrical installation.

• Electrical installations must be carried out by an authorised electrician. Electrical installations must comply with IEC-364.
• The machine must be connected to the mains supply with a residual current device with a maximum tripping current of 30mA .

ASSEMBLY

Fit the spray head in the spray gun and twist to lock in place.

Connect the female coupling on the water hose to the water inlet on the machine.

• The length of the hose between the check valve and high-pressure washer should be at least 10 metres to dampen any pressure surges.
  • The minimum hose dimension is 1/2" (13 mm).
  • The hose must be reinforced.
• The incoming water flow must be at least the same as the maximum flow for the machine.
• This high-pressure washer must only be connected to the municipal water conduit system if a suitable check valve is installed.

WARNING: The temperature of the inlet water must not be more than 60^ C. The inlet pressure of the water must not exceed 7 bar.

IMPORTANT: Only use the machine with clean water. Unfiltered water, or water with corrosive chemicals, can damage the machine.

Set the power switch in the OFF position.

• Check that the mains voltage corresponds to the rated voltage on the type plate.
• Plug in the power cord.

USE

• Never use the machine in explosive environments, for example, in the vicinity of flammable liquids, gases or dust.

• Operating temperature: 0 to 40^ C .

• The motor and pump on the machine are installed in an impact resistant casing. The machine has an ergonomic spray gun and spray head, which comply with the requirements in the applicable regulations.

• Never modify the spray head or nozzles in any way, or cover them over.
• The machine is intended to be used with water at a maximum temperature of 60^ C. Higher temperatures can damage the machine.
• Only use water that is free from sand, chemicals and other impurities. Impurities can reduce functionality and shorten the useful life of the machine.

USE

- Open the water cock fully.

Release the safety catch for the trigger and press the trigger for a few seconds to vent and relieve the pressure in the hose.

Keep the trigger pressed and press the power switch to start the motor.

• Always keep the trigger pressed when starting the motor.
- Apply chemicals on dry surfaces with a broad spray pattern. Work from below and up on vertical surfaces. Allow it to act for a few minutes, but do not let it dry.
• Make sure that there is no water running on surfaces that should not be wet.

NOTE: The motor only works when the trigger is pressed.

USING ACCESSORIES

WARNING! Do not adjust the nozzle when the trigger is pressed.

NB

• The motor only works when the trigger is pressed.
  • Under no circumstances use the high-pressure washer in potentially explosive environments!
• The usage temperature must be between 0 and +40^ .
• The high-pressure washer consists of a unit with a pump which is enclosed in an impact-resistant casing. For optimum working position, the high-pressure washer is supplied with a water-jet pipe with a non-slip handle, the form and use of which complies with applicable rules.
• Do not cover over or modify the water-jet pipe or spray nozzle in any way.
• The high-pressure washer is designed for use with cold or warm water (max. 60°C); higher temperatures can damage the pump.
• Do not use water that is dirty or that contains sand or chemicals, as this can have a negative effect on usage and shorten the high-pressure washer's service life.
• The adjustable spray nozzle has two modes, high pressure and low pressure, which are adjusted on the nozzle.
• Low pressure should be used in conjunction with cleaning agent.

HIGH PRESSURE MODE

The nozzle must be set at IN-position for high-pressure jets.

1. Turn the nozzle clockwise as far as it will go until there is no distance between the nozzle and the base for high pressure mode/IN-position.
2. Turn the top of the nozzle clockwise or anticlockwise to obtain the required spray pattern.

LOW PRESSURE MODE

The nozzle must be set at OUT-position for low pressure jets. Low pressure mode must always be used in conjunction with cleaning agent.

1. Turn the nozzle anticlockwise as far as it will go so that the distance between the nozzle and the base is as large as possible.
2. In low pressure mode, turn the top of the nozzle clockwise to fully open the nozzle.

NB The spray nozzle must be set at a narrow spray pattern, so that the metal blades at the very end of the nozzle are fully open and the jets are not restricted.

1. When used with cleaning agent, the container must be filled with the correct mixture of water and cleaning agent according to the instructions on the container (Figure 6). The container is supplied with a hose which is fitted on the screw cap (Figure 7).

- To remove the cleaning agent container, first take off the cap and then pull the container upward and outward with one finger.

1. Dissolve dirt by applying cleaning agent with the jet set at a wide spray pattern against the dry surface. Work from below and upward on vertical surfaces.
2. Allow the cleaning agent to act for 1 to 2 minutes, but do not let it dry.
3. Rinse off the cleaning agent from the surface from the bottom up

MAINTENANCE

IMPORTANT: Switch off the machine and unplug the power cord before cleaning and/or maintenance.

Clean the nozzle with the supplied tool. Remove the head from the spray gun, clean the hole and rinse.

STORAGE

• Switch off the machine.
• Turn off the water cock.
  • Empty the chemicals container.
• Relieve the pressure in the machine by keeping the trigger pressed until no water comes out of the nozzle.
• Lock the trigger catch.
• Unplug the power cord.
• Treat the machine with non-corrosive, non-toxic antifreeze before putting into winter storage.

IMPORTANT: Flush the machine with clean water before using it again. Antifreeze can damage washed surfaces.

• Switch off the machine and unplug the power cord before maintenance and/or inspection.
• Check the following points before contacting your dealer for a service.

	The overheating protection has tripped.	⇒	Allow the machine to cool for 5 minutes.
	The nozzle is partially blocked.	⇒	Clean the nozzle.
The fuse trips Fuse is too weak.		⇒	Connect the machine to a mains outlet with a suitable fuse for the machine's power consumption. Try using the machine without an extension cord.
Pulsating flow	Air in the inlet hose.	⇒	Press the trigger and allow water to run out until the normal operating pressure is restored.
	The water supply is inadequate.	⇒	Check that the water's inlet pressure is adequate. NOTE: Do not use a hose smaller than 1/2".
