Frequently Asked Questions - 220-131 Hamron

What should I do if the pressure washer won't start?
Check that the power cord is plugged in and that the mains socket has power. Try another socket, or check the fuse. Also ensure the extension cord is not defective.
Why does the pressure fluctuate during use?
Fluctuating pressure may be caused by air in the pump, dirty or worn valves, or worn pump seals. Check that hoses and connections are airtight. Clean or replace valves and seals if needed.
How do I change between high and low pressure?
Twist the tip of the adjustable nozzle to switch between high pressure (standard) and low pressure. In low pressure mode, detergent is automatically injected from the built-in container.
What should I do if the nozzle is blocked?
Switch off the appliance and unplug it. Remove the wand from the spray gun, use the cleaning tool supplied to clean the hole, and rinse thoroughly.
How do I store the pressure washer for winter?
Flush the appliance with clean water, then treat it with non-corrosive, non-toxic antifreeze. Store in a frost-free place. Before next use, flush again with clean water.
Can I use the pressure washer with a well water supply?
Yes, but if there is a risk of sand or contaminants, fit an extra water filter. Ensure the water supply meets the minimum flow requirements (at least 8 l/min).
How do I properly connect the water supply?
Connect a reinforced hose (minimum 1/2" or 13 mm) from the water tap to the appliance's water inlet. The hose between the check valve and washer must be at least 10 m long to dampen pressure surges.
What does the trigger lock do?
The trigger lock prevents accidental operation of the spray gun. Lock it when not in use to avoid unintentional high-pressure spray.
Why does the appliance stop suddenly?
Possible causes include a tripped fuse, incorrect mains voltage, or the overheating protection activating. Allow the appliance to cool for 5 minutes. Check the fuse and voltage.
How do I apply detergent correctly?
Apply detergent on a dry surface using a wide spray pattern, working from bottom up. Allow it to act for a few minutes but do not let it dry. Use the low pressure setting for detergent application.
