V. CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE (Fig. 6, 7, 8, 9, 10)

DUST CONTAINER (A1)

If you find out that the suction performance of the vacuum cleaner A is reduced, make sure that the dust container is not full and if necessary, empty it (follow the procedure indicated in Fig. 6). Put the container above a dust bit and press button A3; thus you will lift off bottom and throw the dust in common municipal waste. Snap the bottom shut to secure it in the opposite direction. Clean the dust container with a wet cloth. Allow all the parts to dry out properly before re-use.

Caution

  • When removing the filter system (i.e. separator A5, HEPA filter A4) and subsequent cleaning of the container A1, it is necessary to keep the vacuum cleaner upright and never turn the vacuum cleaner upside down.
  • Never rinse the container A1 under running water and never immerse it in water.
  • For hygienic purposes we recommend that you empty the container and clean the filter after each use.
  • The maximum suction effect can only be achieved with a clean HEPA filter and an empty dust container.
  • We recommend cleaning the HEPA filter each time when the dust container is emptied.
  • When vacuuming very fine dust, the HEPA filter pores may become clogged, which reduces air permeability and the suction performance. In this case, it is required to clean the HEPA filter even when the tank is not full.

HEPA filter (Fig. 8, 10)

Shake out the input HEPA filter A4 gently, or blow it out. Alternatively, use cleaning tool K to clean it. If the HEPA filter is very dirty, you can rinse it under running lukewarm water. Hold the filter in such a way that the pleated side points upwards and the water flows parallel to the pleats. Hold the filter at an angle so that the water washes away the dirt inside the pleats. Turn the filter 180° and let the water flow along the pleats in the opposite direction. Continue this process until the filter is clean. After drying, insert the HEPA filter back to the container in the opposite way.

Caution

  • If you clean the HEPA filter with water, its filtration properties will deteriorate. The filter cannot be washed more than three times. After that, a new filter needs to be purchased.
  • We recommend that you replace the HEPA filter twice a year. After that, a new filter needs to be purchased HYUHF938.
    – The HEPA filter is not suitable for washing in the dishwasher.
  • Failure to clean or replace the HEPA filter as required may cause a defect of the vacuum cleaner!

Separator (Fig. 8, 10)

Rinse the separator A5 under running water. Allow the parts to dry out properly before their re-use.

Treat surface of the appliance A with a soft and damp cloth, do not use coarse and aggressive detergents!

Accessories E, F

After any vacuuming, it is recommended to check visually the brushes or collectors for possible impurities. If there are some impurities, remove them.

Floor nozzle with rotary brush D

Remove any dirt (especially hair, animal hairs, etc.) stuck to the brush with the cleaning tool K (or other suitable). To make cleaning easier, the brush can be removed (Fig. 9). Now you may easily clean the brush (rinse it in running water). After wash the roller brush, please dry the shaft at end of brush (milky plastic location) with damp cloth to avoid rusting.

After the maintenance, apply a reverse procedure to install the brush in the nozzle and secure it.

Caution

Do not water the floor nozzle D in running water directly, it will damage motor and PCB.

Storage (Fig. 12)

Store the appliance thoroughly clean on a dry, dustless place out of reach of children and persons sui juris. Do not put the assembled rod vacuum cleaner on an uneven surface! The cleaner must be placed on a flat surface where there is no danger of knocking over. Insert one of the accessories (small brush E, long crevice nozzle F) into wall bracket H.
