Frequently Asked Questions - CCH 160 Gallet

How do I clean the Gallet CCH 160 heating blanket?
Disconnect the controller before cleaning. The blanket can be machine washed at 30 °C (max 40 °C) using a wool or gentle program. Do not use bleach, fabric softener, or dry clean. Hang to dry – do not tumble dry or iron. Wipe the controller with a damp cloth only.
Can I leave the heating blanket on all night?
No, the blanket is not designed for all-night use. It is intended for preheating the bed. Turn it off before sleeping. Using it while sleeping may cause burns.
What do the indicator lights on the controller mean?
The operation signal light (B2) turns on when the controller is set to positions 1, 2, or 3. It indicates the blanket is heating. When the switch is at 0 (off), the light is off.
Can I use the CCH 160 on an adjustable bed?
Yes, but check the electric blanket and cord for folds or pinches when adjusting the bed. Ensure the blanket lies flat to avoid overheating.
Is the heating blanket safe for children or elderly?
The blanket should not be used by infants (0-3 years) or persons insensitive to heat. Children aged 8+ can use it only under supervision. Elderly persons with reduced heat sensitivity should consult a doctor.
What should I do if the blanket does not heat up?
First, check that the controller is properly connected to the blanket and that the power cord is plugged into a working outlet. If the wall outlet is fine, inspect the power cord for damage. If the issue persists, do not attempt repair – contact a qualified service center.
Can I fold the blanket while it is on?
No. Never fold or crumple the blanket when it is on. This can cause overheating and activate the permanent protection function, which shuts off the heat. Always let the blanket cool before storing.
Can I use the blanket with other heating devices like a hot water bottle?
No, do not use the electric blanket together with other heat appliances (e.g., foot warmer, hot-water bottle) as it may cause overheating and fire risk.
How should I store the heating blanket?
Store the blanket in a dry place, flat or loosely rolled. Do not place heavy objects on it. Before reuse, check the blanket and cords for damage. Fold only when cool and off.
What is the warranty period for the Gallet CCH 160?
The manual does not specify an exact warranty period, but the expected service life under normal conditions is 8 years. For warranty details, refer to the original purchase receipt or contact the retailer.
