natural_image
Illustration of a flat-screen grating machine with control panel and scroll (no text or symbols visible)5. Opening the grill:
- Check if the grill is heated to the required temperature (green indicator is on).
- Make sure that the upper grilling plate is properly secured. The adjustable latch ④ on the right side of the upper plate has to be in the "OPEN" position.
- Use the handle to open the lid with the upper plate in 105 degrees position.
-
Place food on the bottom grilling plate.
-
Using the handle, close the upper plate.
-
The top grilling plate offers two features for reaching optimum results:
-
Floating upper plate. The upper plate is hinged so that it can rest on the grilled foods in horizontal position. This ensures that the top of the food would be cooked as evenly as its bottom part. This system also allows the plate to float freely over the food, radiating heat. This way can be also made e.g. open sandwiches with melted cheese on top.
-
Adjustable height. This feature reduces the weight of the upper plate resting on fine foods, like e. g. fish, and enables adjustment of its height to various foods, like e. g. home made bread. On the right side of the upper plate is the adjustable latch ④, that is used to fix the upper plate in several different heights from the bottom plate. To set the desired height, lift the upper plate using the handle and in the same time move the adjustable latch in the required height position. Then gently lower the upper plate until it leans on the adjustable latch.
-
When the food is cooked, remove it from the plates using wooden or heast-resistant plastic utensils.
CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
- Unplug the appliance from the power supply and wait until the appliance and the plates cool thoroughly before cleaning.
- Clean the external surfaces with only moistened cloth to prevent water, oil or grease from getting into the appliance.
- Remove and empty the drip tray after each use. Then wash it with hot water with detergent, rinse thoroughly and dry it carefully before inserting it back in the appliance.
- When cleaning the plates you can leave them in the appliance or remove them (release locks ⑦ and ⑧ and remove the plates). If you leave the plates in the appliance, wipe them using damp cloth or tea towel. If you remove the plates, they can be washed under running water. Then dry them thoroughly.
- Do not clean the interior or exterior surfaces using abrasive powders or cleaners or aggressive chemical cleaning products based on lye or acids. You would damage the exterior finish of the appliance.
- Do not immerse the appliance in water or other liquids.
- Appliance storage: Make sure that the grill including the grilling plates is completely clean and dry, that the drip tray is clean and dry and inserted and secured in the appliance and that the grilling plates are secured together by sliding the adjustable latch ④ in the "LOCK" position. Wind the power cable around the hooks ⑮ in the rear part of the appliance. Store the appliance in a dry and clean place.
