Frequently Asked Questions - H1018 Emos

What is the maximum distance between the camera and monitor?

The maximum distance depends on the wire cross-section: 30 m for 0.5 mm², 50 m for 0.65 mm², 70 m for 0.8 mm², and 115 m for 1.0 mm². Use a 75 Ohm coaxial cable for video signal in areas with high interference.

How do I install the monitor and camera?

Mount the wall-mount frames at eye level. Drill holes for cables, fix frames with plugs and screws. Connect the camera to the monitor using the provided cable, then snap the monitor onto its frame. Finally, plug the power supply into the monitor and mains.

How do I answer a call and speak to the visitor?

Press the Talk button on the monitor to accept the call. The call duration is limited to 120 seconds. Press Talk again to communicate.

How do I release the door or gate?

Press the Electric door release / Gate button on the monitor while communicating with the visitor.

Does the system record missed calls?

Yes, if an SD card is inserted, the system automatically records video of missed calls in AVI format. You can browse recordings on the monitor or view them on a PC via the SD card.

How do I browse photos or videos on the monitor?

Press the Menu button, then use the navigation buttons to select Photo browsing or Video record. Long press (3 seconds) to access the function.

What type of SD card is supported?

The system uses a standard SD card (likely up to 32 GB, but not specified). Insert it into the SD card slot on the monitor for recording and storage.

How do I clean the monitor?

Clean the monitor with a damp cloth. Always power off and unplug the device before cleaning. Do not use abrasive cleaners or immerse in water.

What should I avoid to prevent damage?

Do not place the monitor near TVs, high temperatures, or damp areas. Protect the camera lens from direct sunlight to avoid pale images. Avoid drops and impacts. Do not disassemble any part of the system.

Is the system compatible with other Emos intercom models?

This manual covers models H1018 and H1019. They share the same wiring and operation. Compatibility with other models is not specified.

Where to install the video monitor

Choose the place +oṭ installation with ṣegaṭd to cabling o+ the system. It is ṣecommended to +ix the monitoṭ at the uset-eyes height.

Installation of video monitor wall-mount frame

1. Matk the holes o+ the +tame on the wall and d till the holes.
2. D till the hole into the wall in the middle o+ the +tame +ot all cables coming to monito (camea unit cable and cable +tom powet suppliet, etc.).
3. Fix the +tame with wall plugs and sctews.

System connection

Wite the outdoor cameta unit to the monito by plugging the cable into descipted connections.

Video monitor fitting

1. Ptess the monitoț to the +țame.
2. Push the monitot down.

Connection to the mains power

1. Plug the powet suppliet to the mains 230V/50Hz.
2. Plug the powet suppliet connectot into the descipted connection onto the monitot.
3. When powet is ptesent on the video monitoş the LED will be lit on the monitoş.

Requirements on catling of the system

Video doot phone system uses 8 co-te cables. Maximal distances between came-ta unit and monito-t with tegatds to the ctoss sectional atea (CRA) o+ the wites is show in the +ollowing table.

In the ațeas with high possibility o+ inteț+ețence it is țecommended to use a 75 Ohm coaxial cable +oț connection o+ video signal.

Video monitoş is easy to maintain. It is țecommended to clean the video monitoş by wet cloth sometimes to achieve best quality o+ the displayed pictuţe.
