Frequently Asked Questions - H1131 Emos

How do I pair two intercom units?

Ensure both units are off. Press and hold the Power button on one unit until it beeps. Do the same on the other unit. They will automatically pair on the same channel.

What type of batteries does the intercom use?

The intercom uses 3 AAA batteries (alkaline recommended). They are not included in the box.

Can I use rechargeable batteries?

Yes, you can use NiMH rechargeable AAA batteries. However, the low battery indicator may not be accurate.

How do I change the channel?

Press the Channel Up/Down button on the side when the unit is on. The channel number will appear on the display.

Why can't I hear the other person?

Check that both units are on the same channel. Ensure the volume is turned up. Also verify that you are within range (up to 300 m open area).

How do I clean the intercom?

Use a dry, soft cloth to wipe the exterior. Do not use water, alcohol, or solvents.

Can I use the intercom in the rain?

The intercom is not fully waterproof. It can withstand light splashes but should not be exposed to heavy rain or submersion.

What does the VOX function do?

VOX (voice-activated transmission) allows hands-free operation: the unit automatically transmits when you speak, without pressing any button.

How do I reset the intercom?

Remove the batteries, wait 10 seconds, then reinsert them. This will reset the device to factory defaults.

Installation of the video monitor:

Where to install the video monitor

Choose the place for installation with regar+ to cabling of the system. It is recommend+e+ to fix the monitor at the user-eyes height.

Installation of video monitor wall2mount frame

1. Mark the holes of the frame on the wall an+ +rill the holes.
2. Drill the hole into the wall in the mi++le of the frame for all cables coming to monitor (camera unit cable an+ cable from power supplier, etc.).
3. Fix the frame with wall plugs an+ screws.

System connection

Wire the out+oor camera unit to the monitor by plugging the cable into +escripte+ connections.

Video monitor fitting

1. Press the monitor to the frame.
2. Push the monitor +own.

Connection to the mains power

1. Plug the power supplier to the mains 230V/50Hz.
2. Plug the power supplier connector into the +escripte+ connection onto the monitor.
3. When power is present on the vi+eo monitor the LED will be lit on the monitor.

Requirements on cabling of the system

Vi+eo +oor phone system uses 8 core cables. Maximal +instances between camera unit an+ monitor with regar+s to the cross sectional area (CRA) of the wires is show in the following table.

In the areas with high possibility of interference it is recommend+e+ to use a 75 Ohm coaxial cable for connection of vi+eo signal.
