SAFETY WARNINGS
• After having removed the appliance from its packaging, verify its integrity based on the drawing and any presence of damage caused by transport. If in doubt, do not use the appliance and contact an authorised service centre.
- Do not let children play with the packaging! Keep the plastic bag out of the reach of children - risk of suffocation!
- Before connecting the appliance, please make sure that the voltage data indicated on the identification technical data (11) correspond to those of the mains voltage. The identification technical data (11) are found on the bottom of the appliance.

- This appliance must be used only for the purpose for which it was designed, namely as a GRILL for home use. Any other use is considered not compliant and therefore dangerous.
- This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved or if supervised by a person responsible for their safety.
Children shall not play with the appliance. The appliance cannot be cleaned or serviced by children without adult supervision. Keep the appliance and power cord away from children under 8 when the appliance is on or cooling down.
- Always disconnect the appliance from the mains before cleaning or performing maintenance and when the appliance is not in use.
- If the appliance if faulty or malfunctions, switch it off and do not tamper with it. Any repairs must only be carried out by an authorised technical service centre.
- If the power cable is damaged it must be replaced by an authorised technical service centre, so as to prevent all risks.
- Metal objects such as knives, forks, spoons and lids must not be placed on the coking plates as they could become hot.
- The appliance is NOT intended to be used with an external timer or through a separate remote control or similar systems.

ATTENTION! Hot surface.
- The electrical safety of this appliance is only guaranteed when it is connected correctly to an effective earthing system as required by applicable electrical safety standards. This important safety requirement must be verified and, if in doubt, request a thorough check of the system by a qualified technician.
• DO NOT use the appliance with damp or wet hands or feet. - DO NOT pull the power cable or the appliance itself to remove the plug from the socket.
- Always disconnect the appliance from the mains before cleaning or performing maintenance and when the appliance is not in use.

ATTENTION! RISK OF BURNS – Do not touch the door, the sight glass, the rack, the various bread containers inside the cooking chamber, the grids, plates, tongs, the rack, the crumb tray, the tray or the heating elements*, and the outer surfaces during operation and until the product is completely cool.
- DO NOT use the appliance near a washbasin full of water. During use, the appliance must be placed in such a way that it cannot fall in the washbasin.
- DO NOT use near a hob. Pay attention that the cable does not come into contact with hot, incandescent surfaces, open flames, pots and other utensils.
• Always place the appliance on a flat and even surface. - The bread can burn and produce flames and/or smoke between the cooking plates. Never use water. Disconnect the appliance and use a damp cloth to put out any flames.

CLEANING BEFORE FIRST USE
- Unpack the appliance.
- Remove any inserts or adhesive labels from the product.
- Wash the upper (5) and lower (6) plate with a damp and well-wrung sponge.
- Clean the metal body with a damp and well-wrung sponge.
- Dry with a dry cloth.
- Unwind the mains cable with the plug (9) completely before using it.
- When used for the first time, the grill may emit some smoke or smell due to possible manufacturing residue. Wait a few minutes before inserting the food.

USE

ATTENTION!
- DO NOT touch the plates and the outer surfaces during operation.

NEVER place the grill on paper/cardboard or plastic surfaces. Place the grill on a flat and smooth surface.
-
Insert the mains cable with plug (9) into the socket.
- Press the O/I switch (8) and set it to I. The mains LED (1) will go on [Fig. C].
- Push the closing hook of the plates (3) towards the back of the appliance [Fig. A].
- The ready for use LED (2) lights up when the appliance reaches the operating temperature [Fig. C].
- Open the plates from the handle (4) [Fig. D].
- Place the food on the lower plate (6).

Close the upper plate (5) from the handle (4) [Fig. D].

The ready-for-use green LED (2) goes off intermittently during cooking to indicate that the plates are warming up, thereby guaranteeing the pre-set temperature.
- Pay attention not to scratch the non-stick coating when removing the food.
The lower plate has a spout to drain the cooking liquids (7). Collect the cooking liquids in a suitable container (not supplied).
USEFUL TIPS
• Always warm the plates before placing the food.
- Sausages tend to crackle while cooking. Prick them with a fork before cooking.
- A better result is achieved with fresh meat rather than defrosted or frozen meat.
- Vegetables can be brushed with oil before being grilled.
- All food (as long as it is not too fatty or full of liquid) can be cooked wrapped in greaseproof paper, so as not to dirty the plates.
- The grill can be used to cook food such as hamburgers, sausages, vegetables, bread rolls, flat bread, toasted sandwiches and wraps.
- Cooking times may vary depending on the thickness, the temperature of the food and personal taste: this table provides approximate cooking times.
CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
- Turn the grill off by setting the O/I switch (8) to O.
- Disconnect the mains cable with plug (9) from the socket.
- Let the grill cool down completely.
- Clean the plates with a damp sponge and soap.
- Clean the outer part of the grill with a damp and well-wrung sponge.
- Dry with a dry cloth.

Do not use abrasive sponges or sharp tools, which could ruin the non-stick eating.
TROUBLESHOOTING

DISPOSAL

The product is packaged in recyclable materials. Dispose of it in compliance with the environmental protection standards.

The appliance must be disposed of in compliance with EU standard 2002/96/EC.
The recyclable materials contained in the appliance must be collected to prevent environmental pollution. For further information contact the local waste authority or the appliance retailer.
