How do I change the batteries?

Open the battery case cover on the bottom of the scale. Remove old batteries. Insert new batteries (2x AAA) by placing one side under the battery baffle and pressing down the other side. Dispose of used batteries in designated containers.

How do I use the tare function?

Place the bowl on the scale and turn it on. Press the Z/T button to reset the display to zero. You can then add ingredients without removing previous items. The tare function works when the total load exceeds 4% of max capacity (200 g for 5 kg). The display shows '0 g' with a 'TARE' icon.

What does 'Lo' on the display mean?

'Lo' indicates that the batteries are low and need to be replaced. Replace with new AAA batteries.

What does 'Err' on the display mean?

'Err' means the scale is overloaded. The maximum weight is 5 kg. Remove items to avoid damage.

Can I clean the base of the scale with water?

No. The base must not be immersed in water or cleaned with wet cloth. Use a dry cloth only. Flooding the electronic parts can cause irreversible damage not covered by warranty.

Is the glass bowl dishwasher safe?

OPERATION

Insert battery before using the scale.

BATTERY REPLACEMENT:

Open the battery case cover at the bottom of scale.

Take out the used battery.

Install new baterry by putting one side of the battery bebeath the battery baffle and then pressing down the other side. Used batteries should be thrown away the containers specially designed for this purpose.

HOW TO USE

Place the scale on a solid, stable and dry surface.

Place the bowl on the scale.

Press the ON/OFF button to turn on the scale.

The LCD display will be activated and "0 g" will be displayed after a few seconds.

Press UNIT to select the unit of measure.

The scale is ready.

Weighing products in the original bowl is recommended because other vessels may distort the result of the measurement.

- "ZERO" OR "TARE" FUNCTION

You can add products during weighing without removing the items added earlier.

1. "Z/T" function

When total sum of all loads on scale ≤ 4% of scale's max weight capacity (4% = 200 g when capacity is 5 kg). LCD will show “_ _ _” or “0 g” each time [Z/T] button is pressed. “_ _ _” means not stable, please wait for a moment. “0 g” and meanwhile an icon “o” on lower left corner of LCD mean “ZERO” function is active. Max weight capacity remains unchanged.

2. "TARE" function

When total sum of all loads on scale > 4% of scale's max weight capacity. (4% = 200 g when capacity is 5 kg). LCD will show “____” lub “0 g” each time [Z/T] button is pressed. “____” means not stable, please wait for a moment. “0 g” and meanwhile an icon “TARE” on lower left corner of LCD mean “TARE” function is active. Max weight capacity is reduced by total weight of all loads. By pressing [Z/T] you can see the total weight of all loads on the scale. If you want to weight more loads, just press [Z/T] to reset LCD reading to „0” again.

SWITCHING OFF THE SCALE

The scale may be turned off by pressing the button or the scale will turn off automatically after 2 minutes from the end of weighing.

• CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

The electronic kitchen scale is a very fragile device. Clean the base of the scale with a dry cloth. The bowl may be cleaned under running water with addition of dishwash.
