Frequently Asked Questions - Go Ride Xblitz

What type of memory card should I use?
Use a branded Micro SD card with capacity between 8 and 64 GB, Class 10 or higher. Format it to FAT32 on a computer first, then in the device.
How do I turn on the dashcam?
Press and hold the power button for 3 seconds. A quick press turns the display on/off.
Why does my dashcam stop recording after a few minutes?
This is normal when using loop recording. The device overwrites the oldest unprotected files when the card is full. Make sure loop recording is enabled in settings.
Should I use motion detection while driving?
No. Motion detection is intended for parking mode only. Using it while driving may cause the camera to turn on/off unexpectedly. Disable it during driving.
How do I protect a recording from being overwritten?
Press the BACK button during recording to protect the current file. Also, recordings triggered by G-sensor or parking mode are automatically protected.
What does the G-sensor do?
The G-sensor detects sudden shocks (e.g., collision, bump). When triggered, it automatically protects the current recording from being overwritten. Set sensitivity to low to avoid false triggers on rough roads.
Can I use the HDMI port to view recordings on a TV?
No. The HDMI port on this model is inactive. Please use the Micro SD card reader included to transfer files to a computer.
How do I clean the dashcam?
Keep the lens clean using a soft, dry cloth. Do not use detergents or chemicals. Avoid dropping or exposing the device to physical damage.
What is the battery life?
The built-in battery (300mAh) is primarily for maintaining settings when disconnected from power. It operates only for about 5 minutes without external power.
How do I reset the device to factory settings?
Use a paperclip to press the RESET button. This restores all settings to default.

Dear Customer,

Thank you for purchasing the Xblitz GoRide dashboard camera. The product you have purchased is a video device designed to record any activity from the dashboard of your vehicle and record the routes taken by your vehicle.

BEFORE USE

  1. It's recommended to use branded 10 SD cards with a capacity between 8 and 64GB.
  2. Before inserting the memory card in the recorder, it must first be formatted to the FAT32 file system on the computer, and then in the recorder.
  3. Only insert the memory card into the device when the device is turned off. Inserting the memory card in the switched-on recorder may damage both the card and the device. This also applies when removing the card from the device.
  4. The built-in battery in the video recorder is primarily used to maintain the device settings. Once disconnected from a power supply, the recorder will function for no longer than 5 minutes.
  5. When the memory card becomes full, the oldest, unprotected footage will be overwritten by new video files.
  6. The device functions should only be used for their intended purposes. Do not activate the motion detection or parking mode functions while driving. This may result in the device turning on or off automatically.
  7. It is recommended that the sensitivity of the G-SENSOR function be set to the lowest level to prevent the device from protecting any unnecessary recordings, e.g. from driving on bumpy roads. Protected recordings will not be overwritten when the memory card is full.
  8. The device has a condenser microphone that records all ambient sounds. These recorded sounds may overlap with one another causing them to be distorted.
  9. ATTENTION! The HDMI port on the device is inactive.

2. WDR (Wide Dynamic Range)

The function allows you to record both in the dark and in bright, often blinding light. Special algorithms analyze the image exposure.

3. MOTION DETECTION

This function allows you to enable/disable motion detection mode. When this mode is on, the camera automatically starts recording a video file when it detects any moving object in front of an object (e.g. a person or approaching a car). These recordings are protected from being overwritten by the device.

4. PARKING MODE

This function causes the camera to automatically turn on and make a short video recording after detecting a shock (e.g. caused by a bump in a parking lot). Recordings made in this mode are protected from being overwritten.

5. AUDIO RECORDING

Audio recording allows you to enable or disable audio recording while recording a video file.

6. G-SENSOR

This will allow you to set the sensitivity of the gravity sensor. The function allows the camera to automatically record a video after detecting a shock (e.g. caused by a crash or bump in the road) and protect the recording from being overwritten.

7. FORMAT

Is responsible for the format of the memory card inserted in the device. NOTE: Formatting will delete all data and files stored on the memory card.

8. SCREENSAVER

A function that allows you to set the time after which the display of the device automatically turns off.

9. TIME STAMP

This feature allows you to activate or deactivate the time and date of any given photograph from being displayed.
