GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS

In order to suitably protect the child and ensure his comfort and security in the car, it is necessary to observe the following instructions:

  • The seat with the abdominal protector has been designed to be installed on the rear or front seats of the car, whenever they are fitted with three-point seat belts and a frontal AIRBAG is not connected. However, for maximum safety we advise you to install it on the rear seat whenever possible.

  • It is only suitable for vehicles fitted with automatic three-point seat belts, certified by regulation ECE-16 or other equivalent standards. DO NOT use with a two-point seat belt, as this is

very dangerous in the event of sudden braking or an accident.

  • In some vehicles the seat belt strap with the clasp is positioned quite far forward, and it may be in contact with the edge of the booster seat, which means it is not safe. If this is the case, try moving the seat forwards or install it on another seat.
  • Not all safety systems are exactly the same, which is why we advise you to test the Xtend

abdominal protector in the vehicle in which it will be installed.

  • It is very important not to use second hand products, as JANE, S.A. can only guarantee the complete safety of articles used by the original buyer.
JANE, S.A. advises you to replace the Xtend abdominal protector with a new one when it has been subjected to violent stress in an accident.
  • Check that all the straps are positioned correctly and duly adjusted to fit the child. Make sure that no strap is twisted. The child must un

derstand that he must not play with the straps or clasps under any circumstances.

  • The Xtend abdominal protector is designed for use in the car, therefore it must not be used out of the car.

For more information regarding the use and installation of the Xtend abdominal protector consult our web page: www.jane.es.

When it is not in use, DO NOT leave the seat or the abdominal protector unfastened in the vehicle, fasten them again with the seat belt or store them in the luggage compartment.

When you put the child back in the seat again, make sure that none of the straps are twisted or out of place and check they are flat against the belt guide area.

WARNING

  • The instructions for the correct use of the retention system must be carefully followed to ensure the child's safety.
  • This safety device must not be used without its upholstery, and it must not be replaced by another one different from the original, as it forms an integral part of the system's safety characteristics.
  • Do not recline the seat when it is in use. To lower or raise the booster seat, you should adjust the length of the seat belt. Do this when the vehicle has stopped.
  • This retention system can only be used in conjunction with a booster seat with a backrest classified as group 2-3 from the JANE group. These include the Indy Team, Indy Team Plus, Montecarlo, Montecarlo Plus, Momo Racing and Superguard.

RECOMMENDATIONS

  • Keep this instruction book for future reference.
  • Always store it in the compartment on the side of the abdominal protector.
  • Make sure that inside the vehicle, any luggage or other object which may cause damage in the event of an accident is correctly fastened or stored.
