How do I turn on the tower fan?

Place the fan on a firm, level surface and plug it into a power point. Press the POWER button on the control panel or remote control to turn it on.

How do I adjust the fan speed?

Press the SPEED button repeatedly to cycle through speeds 1 to 8. The current speed is shown on the LED display.

What are the different operating modes?

The fan has three modes: Normal (constant speed), Interval (automatically changes speed every 120 seconds), and Sleep (gradually reduces speed every 7 minutes until reaching speed 1). Press the MODE button to select.

How do I use the oscillation (swing) function?

Press the SWING button to start oscillation; press again to stop. The tower fan will oscillate left and right.

How do I set the timer?

Press the TIMER button repeatedly to set the desired time in 30-minute increments, from 30 minutes to 8 hours. The fan will automatically turn off after the set time.

How do I clean the air intake filter?

Unplug the fan. Remove the removable air-intake filter (refer to the manual for location) and vacuum it. Do not wash with water. Reinstall after cleaning.

What battery does the remote control use and how do I replace it?

The remote uses a CR2032 battery. Slide out the battery tray at the bottom of the remote, replace the battery with the positive (+) side facing up, and insert the tray back.

Is the fan safe to use around children?

The fan should not be used by children without supervision. Never let children play with the fan or insert objects through the grille. Always unplug when not in use.

What should I do if the fan stops working?

Check that it is plugged in and the power outlet is working. Ensure the timer is not set. If it still does not work, do not attempt to repair; contact customer service.

Can I use the fan outdoors?

No, the fan is only intended for indoor use in dry, clean environments. Do not expose to water, excessive humidity, or temperatures above 40°C.

Safety

- Never use the product if the mains lead, plug or any other part is damaged or does not work properly.

- The product must only be connected to a standard domestic 220–240 V, 50/60 Hz electrical supply.

- Never attempt to repair or modify the product in any way.

- Never use the product if it does not work properly or if the housing, mains lead or plug is damaged in any way.

- If the mains lead is damaged in any way it must be replaced by a qualified electrician.

- The product is only intended for indoor use in a dry, clean environment. Never position the product in such a way that it might fall into water or other liquid.

- Never position the product in such a way that it comes into contact with hot surfaces.

• Always unplug the product from the power point when it is not in use.

- Never lay the mains lead over hot surfaces, sharp edges or corners.

- The product is only intended for personal domestic use and only in the manner described in this instruction manual.

- Never poke your fingers or foreign objects through the grille while the fan is operating.

- Do not turn on the power before the product is completely assembled. The product must only be used in the upright position, never horizontally or when it is lying on its side.

- Never turn the product off by pulling the plug out of the wall socket. Turn off the product using the power button and then unplug it from the wall socket.

- Make sure that the product is completely assembled before using it for the first time.

- Never use the product in areas where explosive gases or substances are stored.

- Do not use the product in excessively humid or dusty environments or in environments in which the temperature exceeds 40 °C.

- Persons (including children) whose physical, sensory or mental capability or lack of experience and knowledge which renders them incapable of using the product in a safe way, must not be allowed to use the product without proper supervision or instruction.

Control panel

1. [ ] SWING, switches the oscillating motion on/off.
2. [MODE, selects the operating mode: Normal, Interval or Sleep.
3. [TIMER, sets the duration of operation before automatic shut-off.
4. [■] SPEED, sets the fan speed 1–8.
5. [◀] POWER, switches the tower fan on/off.

Remote control

The remote control buttons and functions are identical to the ones on the fan as described above.

1. Remove the plastic tab to activate the battery.

1. To change the battery, pull out the battery tray on the bottom of the remote control and replace the old battery with a new one (CR2032). Make sure that the positive (+) terminal faces upwards, towards you (refer to illustration).

Operating instructions

Switching on/off

1. Place the fan on a firm, level surface and plug it into a power point.
2. Press [⏻] to turn the fan on.
3. Press [icon] again to turn it off.

Fan speed

Press [■] (9) repeatedly to select the fan speed 1–8.

Normal, interval or sleep mode

Normal mode

1. Turn the fan on.
2. Press [💡] (7) until the LED indicators for Interval and Sleep are no longer lit.

Interval mode

1. Turn the fan on.
2. Press [💡] (7) until the LED indicator for the Interval mode is lit.
3. The fan will then automatically change speed at intervals which are programmed in at the factory (cannot be altered). All the fan speeds (1–8) will be used in cycles of 120 seconds. You cannot change the fan speed manually when the fan is in Interval mode.

Sleep mode

1. Turn the fan on.
2. Press [💡] (7) until the LED indicator for the Sleep mode is lit.
3. The fan reduces speed successively by changing to a lower speed setting every 7 minutes until finally staying on fan speed 1. You cannot change the fan speed manually when the fan is in Sleep mode.

Oscillation

1. Press [√] (6) to switch the oscillating action of the fan on.

2. Press the button again to turn off this function.

3. Press [ ] (6) to switch the oscillating action of the fan on.

4. Press the button again to turn off this function.

Timer function

1. Press [💡(8) to set the time in 30-minute intervals from 30 minutes to 8 hours.
2. The fan will turn off automatically once the set time has passed. The timer function can be used with any of the functions described above. The display panel shows the set timer time for a few seconds before reverting to displaying the temperature. The picture shows that the timer is set for 2 hours.

Care and maintenance

• Always unplug the product from the wall socket before cleaning.
- Wipe the outside of the housing with a clean, damp cloth. Use only mild cleaning agents, never solvents or corrosive chemicals.
- Always unplug the fan and store it in a dry, dust-free environment out of children's reach whenever it is not to be used for an extended period.

Cleaning the air intake filter

If the air intake filter needs cleaning it can be removed and vacuum-cleaned (see fig.).
