3.2 Preparations for use

Check that all the parts are intact and that nothing is missing.

Caution: Turn off the pressure hose and pull the plug from the socket when servicing and adjusting the machine.

  1. Check that the power switch is in the 0 position.
  2. Grab the centre of the hose reel's handle and pull outwards to unlock the reel, then wind out the hose.

  3. Connect the pressure hose (6) to the outlet connection (3).

  4. Connect the pressure hose (6) to the pistol grip (5).

  5. Connect the pistol grip (5) and lance (9) by pushing it into the lance (9) with the bayonet connection on the pistol grip (5) and turn it clockwise until it locks. Do this before attempting to use the pressure washer.

Caution: Make sure that the nozzle is securely fastened onto the lance otherwise it can be shot from the lance with extreme force. The above description even applies for the detergent tank and car wash brush with adaptor connected.

Diagram showing a mechanical component with numbered parts and directional arrow indicating rotation or assembly.

  1. Connect a garden hose (not included) between the water tap and the machine's inlet connection (4), using either a threaded or quick connection. The water inlet (4) is already equipped with a filter from the manufacturer to remove any dirt, sediment and other contaminants which can damage the washer.
  2. Pull the trigger, releasing any possible air until water begins flowing.

Caution: The temperature for the water supply must not exceed 40 °C .

Run the hose for a moment if the hose has sat in the sun and become warm.

The pressure hose must be operated in an upright/vertical position. It must not be used in the lying/horizontal position.

Caution: Make sure that no bystander or pet is within a 15 metre risk zone from the nozzle before continuing assembly.

  1. Make sure that the garden hose used is undamaged and securely connected at both ends. Open the water tap completely (or as much as needed to supply the pressure washer).
  2. Connect the lead's plug to a wall socket, press the trigger (7), point the lance towards a risk-free direction and turn on the motor with the power button (1).

- If the water supply is from a tank or similar source without pressure, both the pump and the inlet hose must be filled with water before the pump is started.

The tank must be placed at higher level than the pressure washer. If the water has contaminants or is cloudy an inlet filter must be mounted to the hose inlet.

- N.B. The recommended distance between the nozzle and the surface to be cleaned is approx. 30 cm. Shorter distances produce a higher degree of cleaning power on the surface to be cleaned. A longer distance produces a gentler cleaning for sensitive surfaces.

  • Do not lay the power cable on roads, bike paths, etc. where there is a risk for damage.
  • Caution: Never use a shorter connecting hose that 6 metres (1/2" hose). The hose buffers possible pressure surges in the water lines and protects the pressure washer and allows it work smoothly.
  • Caution: When water streams from the lance backfire occurs, therefore it is important to hold it steady with both hands while standing in a balanced position.
  • Never point the water jet at people, animals, the pressure washer itself or any other electrical equipment.
  • Use protective glasses since water and particles can spray back towards you when pointing the water jet against an object.
  • Caution: Turn off the pressure washer and pull the plug if you take a longer pause from the job. Do not leave the machine on while unattended.

3.3 Adjusting the nozzle

Make sure that the pressure washer is correctly assembled. Point the lance towards the surface to be cleaned, press the trigger and turn on the motor with the power button (1).

The water jet's width can be adjusted by turning the nozzle's front portion, see figure (not valid for the turbo lance).

3.4 Turning off after use

  1. Press 0 on the power switch.
  2. Shut off the water tap.
  3. Minimise the pressure on the remaining water in the pump and hose by pressing the trigger for a few seconds or as long as it takes for all the water to run out of the nozzle.
  4. Unplug the plug from the wall socket.
  5. Loosen the pressure hose from the washer, Press in the handle into the hose reel and wind in the hose.

3.5 Storage

- Make sure that the inlet filter for incoming water (4) and the nozzle are cleaned before placing the pressure washer into storage. Store the pressure washer in a dry area out of the reach of children and others who do not have the prerequisite knowledge to operate the machine. Disassemble the pressure hose and lance and store them with the pressure washer. Avoid storing the pressure washer in temperatures under 5 °C or over 40 °C.

N.B. Protect the washer against frost. Make sure that it is completely emptied before storing.

Caution: Never run the pressure washer dry. The pump's seals can be damaged.

- Remember that the pressure washer may still be under pressure even when turned off. Depressurise it by pressing the trigger before you disconnect the hoses. Removing the pressure hose while pressurised can be dangerous.

- New nozzles for the pressure washer can be bought from the distributor.

Caution: Never look into the nozzle when it is mounted on the washer.

4. Care and maintenance

Caution: Turn off the pressure hose and pull the plug from the wall socket when servicing and adjusting the machine. Regular cleaning of the inlet connection's inlet filter (4) and the nozzle are important for the proper operation of the pressure washer. The inlet filter should be removed and cleaned regularly to prevent sediments in the water from damaging the pump and seals.

- Make sure the nozzle is open, carefully remove debris and build-up and rinse with clean water.

- Clean the inlet filter after use: Loosen the hose from the connection, remove the filter with pliers, clean when needed and replace when finished.

- Protect the washer against frost, empty it completely* and remove the pressure hose. Place the pressure washer in dry storage for the winter.

N.B. The guarantee is not valid if the machine is frost damaged.

* Start the pump with the trigger pressed or with the pressure hose removed and let the pump run for 30 seconds to completely empty the pump.
