1. Important safety guidelines

1. Do not use the pressure washer before reading the entire instruction manual.
2. Never point the water spray towards yourself or any other person. There is risk that the spray can penetrate the skin.
3. Electrical tools should be connected to the mains via an RCD (tripping at max. 30 mA within max. 30 ms).
4. Never use the pressure washer if there are bystanders in the vicinity, unless they are wearing protective clothing and safety glasses.
5. Pressure washers can be dangerous if used in an improper way. Never point the water spray at people, animals, the pressure washer itself or any other electrical equipment.
6. Never point the water spray at yourself to attempt to wash the clothes or shoes that you are wearing.
7. Always pull the plug out of the wall socket before servicing and adjusting the machine.
8. The pressure washer may not be used by minors or persons without the prerequisite knowledge of the machine.
9. Use only original parts for repairs and for your own safety.
10. High pressure hoses, connections and accessories are important safety features. Use only accessories or exchangeable parts which are recommended by the manufacturer.
11. Never use the washer if the connection cable or any other important part is damaged: Safety features, high-pressure hose, lance, pistol grip, etc.
12. Warning: Use of incorrect extension leads can be dangerous.
13. If an extension lead is used it must be equipped with a waterproof plug and socket designed for outdoor use.
14. Damaged power leads and switches must always be replaced by a tradesman.
15. Read the entire instruction manual before using product.
16. Be very attentive to minimise the risk of accidents if the pressure washer is to be used around children.
17. Learn how the pressure washer works so that you can quickly stop it and depressurise it.
18. Be alert, think about your actions.
19. Never use the pressure washer if you are tired or under the influence of drugs, alcohol or medication.
20. Keep the work area free of bystanders and pets.
21. Do not overreach or stand on unsteady surfaces. Always adopt a balanced stance with both feet on the ground.
22. Follow all instructions for service and maintenance as described in the instruction manual.
23. The pressure washer should be connected to the mains via an RCD (tripping at max. 30 mA within max. 30 ms).
24. Always use protective clothing and safety goggles or a visor. Stones and other small objects can be thrown up by the high-pressure spray. Use hearing protection.
25. The wall socket that the pressure washer is connected to must have been installed by an electrician according to IEC 60364-1 standards.
26. Use only detergent designed for pressure washers. Other detergents and chemicals can damage the washer or result in personal injury.
27. Keep this instruction manual, so that it is ready for use and can used when loaning out the machine.

Safety rules

1. Please read through the entire instruction manual before using in order to minimise the risk of injury.
2. Make sure that the mains power at the socket is 230 VAC, that extension leads have an area of at least 1.5mm² and that an RCD is installed.
3. Pull out the plug from the socket when the washer is not in use.
4. Do not expose the pressure washer to rain or point the water jet against the pressure washer.
5. Keep the extension leads away from sources of heat, sharp metal objects, sharp corners etc.
6. Do not touch the electrical connections or move the pressure washer with wet hands.
7. Do not use the pressure washer if the high pressure hose is damaged. Damaged hose must be exchanged immediately. Only use hoses and connections that are recommended by the manufacturer.
8. Do not expose the pressure washer to concentrated acid solutions, solvents or to environments containing flammable/explosive materials/liquids/gases, petrol, thinning agents, etc.
9. Do not lock the trigger in the on position.
10. There is no adjustable safety valve. When the water reaches maximum pressure the safety valve opens automatically.

Warning! Read carefully through the instruction manual before using the pressure washer, be extra attentive to the warning texts and symbols. This pressure washer has many functions that make your job faster and easier. Safety, efficiency and quality have influenced the development of this pressure washer which is also easy to use and requires minimal maintenance.

4. Preparations before use

Check that all the parts are intact and that nothing is missing.

Warning!

Turn off the pressure hose and pull the plug from the wall socket when servicing and adjusting the machine.

1. Check that the power switch is in the 0 position.
   2 Attach the filter (4a) and quick coupling (4).

1. Screw the high pressure hose (8) onto the hose connection (6).

2. Connect the pressure hose (8) to the pistol grip (9).

3. Connect the pistol grip (9) and lance (1) by pushing it into the lance (1) with the bayonet connection on the pistol grip (9) and turn it clockwise until it locks. Do this before attempting to use the pressure washer.

Warning! Make sure that the nozzle is securely fastened onto the lance otherwise it can be shot from the lance with extreme force. The above connection instructions also apply to the connection of the detergent bottle.

1. Connect a garden hose (not included) of between 5 metres and 25 metres in length to the pressure washer's water inlet connection (3), using either the threaded or quick coupling. Connect the other end of the hose to a water tap.

The water inlet (3) is already equipped with a filter (4a) from the manufacturer to remove any dirt, sediment and other contaminants which might otherwise damage the washer.

5. Use

1. Make sure that the garden hose used is undamaged and securely connected at both ends. Open the water tap completely (or as much as needed to supply the pressure washer).
2. Pull the trigger on the pistol grip (9), releasing any possible air until water begins flowing. There is a safety lock (9a) on the pistol grip that can lock the trigger. Push it in on the left-hand side to lock the trigger or the right-hand side to unlock the trigger.
3. Connect the plug of the mains lead to a wall socket, press the trigger on the pistol grip (9), point the lance in a safe direction and turn on the motor by pressing the power button (2).
4. Point the lance (1) at the surface to be cleaned and slowly move the nozzle over the surface. The recommended distance between the nozzle and the surface to be cleaned is approx. 30 cm. Shorter distances produce a higher degree of cleaning power on the surface to be cleaned. A longer distance produces a gentler cleaning for sensitive surfaces.

Note!

Warning! The temperature for the water supply must not exceed 40\ °C . Run the hose for a moment if the hose has sat in the sun and become warm. The pressure washer must be operated in an upright/vertical position. It must not be used in the lying/horizontal position.

Warning! Make sure that no bystander or pet is within a 15 metre risk zone from the nozzle before continuing assembly.

• If the water supply is from a tank or similar source without pressure, both the pump and the inlet hose must be filled with water before the pump is started. The tank must be placed at higher level than the pressure washer. If the water has contaminants or is cloudy an inlet filter must be fitted onto the hose inlet.
• Do not lay the power lead on roads, cycle paths, etc. where it might be damaged by passing traffic.

Warning! Never use a shorter connecting hose that 5 metres (1/2" hose). The hose buffers possible pressure surges in the water lines and protects the pressure washer and allows it work smoothly.

Warning! When water jets out from the lance, the lance will recoil, so it is important to hold the lance firmly with both hands while standing in a balanced position.

- Never point the water jet at people, animals, the pressure washer itself or any other electrical equipment.

- Use protective glasses since water and particles can spray back towards you when pointing the water jet against an object.

Warning! Turn off the pressure washer and pull the plug if you take a longer pause from the job. Do not leave the machine on while unattended.

Turning off after use

1. Set the power switch to 0.
2. Turn off the water tap.
3. Minimise the pressure on the remaining water in the pump and hose by pressing the trigger for a few seconds or as long as it takes for all the water to run out of the nozzle.
4. Unplug the plug from the wall socket.

6. Storage

• Make sure that the inlet filter (4a) for incoming water (3) and the nozzle are cleaned before putting the pressure washer away. Store the pressure washer in a dry area out of the reach of children and others who do not have the prerequisite knowledge to operate the machine.
• Disassemble the pressure hose and lance and store them with the pressure washer. Avoid storing the pressure washer in temperatures under 5 °C or over 40 °C.

N.B. Protect the washer against frost. Make sure that it is completely emptied before storing.

Warning! Never run the pressure washer dry. The pump's seals can be damaged.

• Remember that the pressure washer may still be under pressure even when turned off! Depressurise it by pressing the trigger before you disconnect the hoses. Removing the pressure hose while pressurised can be dangerous.
• New nozzles for the pressure washer can be bought from the distributor.

Warning! Never look into the nozzle when it is attached to the washer.

7. Care and maintenance

Warning! Turn off the pressure washer and pull the plug from the wall socket when servicing and adjusting it.

Regular cleaning of the inlet coupling (4), inlet filter (4a) and the spray nozzle are important for the proper operation of the pressure washer. The inlet filter (4a) should be removed and cleaned regularly to prevent sediments in the water from damaging the pump and seals.

• Make sure the nozzle is open, carefully remove debris and build-up with the nozzle cleaning tool (5) and rinse with clean water.
• Clean the inlet filter after use: Disconnect the garden hose, remove the filter with pliers, clean if required and replace when finished.
• Protect the washer against frost, empty it completely* and remove the pressure hose. Place the pressure washer in dry storage for the winter. N.B. The guarantee is not valid if the machine is frost damaged.

* Start the pump with the trigger pressed or with the pressure hose removed and let the pump run for 30 seconds to completely empty the pump.

8. Troubleshooting

The machine does not start

• If the plug is connected, is there power at the socket, is the fuse/RCD whole/untripped?
• The washer is under pressure. Pull the trigger.
• Problem with plug/socket.
• Problem with extension lead. Try another lead.
• Incorrect voltage. Check voltage.
  • The power button is in the 0 position.

Pulsating pump

• Clogged/worn nozzle. Clean or change.
- Insufficient water supply. Check: A 10-litre container should be able to be filled within a minute.
• There can be a kink in the hose. Make sure it is straight.
- The inlet filter might be clogged. Make sure that it is clean.
- The garden hose is clogged or is leaking. Check it.

The pump stops

• The RCD/fuse has tripped. Check it.
- The extension lead is too long. Try it without an extension lead.
- The machine is overheating because of insufficient water supply. The inlet filter may be clogged. Test the water flow: A 10-litre container should be able to be filled within a minute.

Fuse blows

- Check the load on the fuse, several devices might be on the same circuit.

Pump starts and stops by itself

- Pump/spray gun/pressure hose leaking. Check and replace it.

Pump starts but no water or little water comes out of the nozzle

• The pump is not drawing in water. Press the trigger and release any possible trapped air and make sure that the suction hose is filled with water. The pressure hose must be operated in an upright/vertical position. It must not be used in the lying/horizontal position.
  • Clogged nozzle. Clean it.
• The inlet or outlet valve is damaged. Change it.

The trigger cannot be depressed

- The safety lock (9a) is activated. Press the button in on the right-hand side to release the trigger.
