How do I enable or disable the touchpad on the XPG Xenia 15 KC?

Double-tap the upper-left corner of the touchpad (15mm x 15mm area). The touchpad indicator will light up when disabled. Alternatively, press Fn + F7 to toggle it on/off.

What is the Mode Button for and how do I use it?

The Mode Button (next to the power button) switches between three power profiles when the laptop is on: Battery Saver (both LEDs off), Balanced (left LED on), and Performance (both LEDs on). You can also change profiles in Intel NUC Software Studio.

How can I adjust the keyboard backlight brightness?

What does the Infrared LED do?

The Infrared LED works with the camera to support Windows Hello facial recognition for secure login. It is not visible to the naked eye and automatically activates when Windows Hello is set up.

Can I upgrade the RAM and storage on the Xenia 15 KC?

Yes. The laptop has two SODIMM slots for DDR4 RAM (up to 64GB) and two M.2 slots: Slot A supports NVMe only, Slot B supports both SATA and NVMe. To access them, remove the 10 back cover screws and lift the cover.

How do I perform a factory reset or reinstall Windows?

Press F8 during boot (from off state) to enter system recovery. Alternatively, use Windows Recovery in Settings. The original system image is stored on a separate partition on the SSD.

What is the warranty period and how do I register my product?

The XPG Xenia 15 KC comes with a 1-year limited warranty. You must register your product at xpg.com/us/member/login to start warranty validity. Keep your proof of purchase.

How can I control the RGB light bar on the bottom of the laptop?

Use Intel NUC Software Studio (or Project Aurora for unified RGB). Go to the Light Bar section to select colors and modes (Rainbow, Breathing, or custom).

What safety precautions should I follow when using the laptop?

Use only the provided 230W AC adapter. Do not block air vents; place the laptop on a hard, flat surface. Avoid direct sunlight and temperatures outside 0-35°C. Do not disassemble the battery. If you hear crackling, hissing, or smell smoke, turn off the laptop immediately.

Preparing Your Computer

Connect the power cord to the AC adapter then to a grounded 100-240VAC outlet.

Connect the AC adapter's DC output plug to the DC IN jack on the back of the system.

Caution: Risk of shock or fire. Do not use power cord if damaged. Please reach out to place of purchase for replacement.

The display panel can be opened to a wide range of angles for optimal viewing.

Attempting to force the lid open beyond 180 degrees will cause damage to the hinges and/or the display.

Press the power button to turn on your laptop computer.

Understanding the Keyboard

The following defines the row of function keys which also contain a secondary hotkeys/shortcuts which can be accessed by pressing and holding down the Function Key (FN) while simultaneously pressing the desired hotkey/shortcut.

To activate these functions, press the hotkey associated with the desired function as indicated below:

Keyboard Press this key combination (FN + FS) to toggle control for brightness: keyboard brightness between off, 50%, full.

Screen Brightness Press this key combination (FN + FS) to decrease screen brightness.

Using the Touchpad/Clickpad

The touchpad / clickpad is a rectangular electronic panel located just below your keyboard. Clicking twice within the 15mm x 15mm corner in the top left will enable or disable (lighted indicator) touchpad functionality. You can slide your finger on the static-sensitive panel of the touchpad / clickpad to move the cursor.

Press the left and right bottom corners located on the bottom edge of the touchpad / clickpad to make selections and run functions. These two buttons are similar to the left and right buttons on a mouse. Tapping on the touchpad / clickpad produces similar results.

Customize Your Laptop Configuration

Intel® NUC Software Studio is an application for customizing the laptop functionality. To launch, click the Intel® NUC Software Studio icon that is on the desktop or in the tray.

System Configuration

Allows you to enable/disable the following system settings using the toggle button:

• Number Pad

Enable or Disable number lock functionality

- Windows Key

Enable or Disable windows key functionality. (Gaming mode)

- Function Key Lock

Enable or Disable Fn lock.

Trackpad Pad Toggle

Enable or Disable upper left corner button on touch pad that enables/disables the touch pad functionality. (Gaming Mode)

On-Screen Display

Enable or Disable on-screen display for function keys, performance modes, & other features.

- Battery Charge Lim It:

Allows you to customize the battery charge limit to any value between 50-100% using the control arrow. Selecting a lower charge limit can improve the system battery health. Optimal value is 60%.

Performance Tuning

Performance Tuning supports the profiles (Performance, Balanced, Battery Saver) with default mapping of Power and Fan Modes. On startup, Balanced profile is applied by default.

• Benchmark Mode

Turning ON Benchmark mode will enable maximum performance mode with high fan RPMs.

- Passive Cooling Mode

Turning ON Passive cooling mode will minimize fan transitions by limiting time off. Passive Cooling Mode is on by default.

- Usage

For selected profile, display current CPU and dGPU usage

Fan Speed

For selected profile, display current Left Fan and Right Fan speed

Display Settings

This feature allows the user to switch between Display Profiles with varying Brightness, Contrast and Color. There are 5 pre-setting can be selected: Standard (default), Gaming, Video, Reading, & Custom.

Each profiles are also can be customized by applying different Brightness, Contrast, Colors (Red, Green, Blue), and Color Temperature values as supported.

Keyboard

User can switch between different Keyboard Profiles to customize effects, colors, brightness, and speed. There are 12 pre-setting can be selected: Monocolor (default), Gaming, Breathing, Raindrop, Marquee, Music, Wave, Reactive, Ripple, Spark, & Aurora.

- Aurora is a utility that unifies RGB lighting devices across different brands and enables them to work alongside each other, all while adding and improving RGB lighting support for various games that previous had none or little RGB lighting support. ^* More Info for Project Aurora can be found here: https://www.project-aurora.com/

- Custom Profile feature is also available to enable the keyboard as an interactive control to select individual or groups of keys to set different colors.

Light Bar

User can switch between different colors and modes on the Light Bar LEDs. Color value between 0-100% PWM for Red, Blue and Green using the sliders. There are 2 pre-setting can be selected: Rainbow Mode, Breathing Mode

System Monitor

System Monitor displays the real time indication of the hardware's system settings. The System Monitor's data includes:

CPU, Memory, iGPU, dGPU, Network speed, Storage, Battery health indicator, system information, Fan speed, Battery remaining percentage.

Always power off and unplug the power cord from the system before

removing or replacing the back cover.

To remove the back cover, remove the 10 screws securing the cover to the chassis.

Do not remove or replace the back cover with the power on. Always turn off the power and unplug the power cord from the system before removing or replacing the back cover. Otherwise, the system could be damaged.

To install the bottom cover of the laptop, lower the cover onto the chassis and align the 10 captive Phillips screws with the corresponding standoffs. Secure the screws.

Warranty Guide

Warranty Period

In the aim to provide the best Policy for our Customers, XPG grants 1 year Warranty for Your Xenia IS Laptop.

If the product fails during normal and proper use within the warranty period, XPG will, at its own discretion, repair or replace the defective parts within the product, or the product itself, with functionally equivalent components as originally supplied.

To start the warranty period validity, users must register their product online at our website xpg.com/us/member/login. When a repair request is made after the product has been registered, users will have to provide a proof of purchase in the form of an invoice, stamped warranty card or delivery receipt to show the purchase date, which will be the start date of the warranty. If there is no proof of purchase provided or the product has not been registered, then the product's date of manufacturing will become the effective start date for the warranty period. This date is calculated based on the XPG Serial Number printed on the back cover of the product;

Note. Warranty periods and warranty terms may vary depending on different distributing territories. Please confirm with the location where the original order was placed to verify.

Battery and AC Adapter

Due to their consumable nature based on use, Battery and the AC Adapter are covered by a one-year warranty from the date of purchase, unless specified differently by local regulations.

Pre-Installed Software

Software and other accessories that may be bundled with the product are not covered by this warranty. A copy of the original pre-installed image as the system was manufactured is available as a separate partition on your SSD Drive, should you require to reinstall the software from scratch. System recovery can be activated by pressing F8 while powering on the system or from an OFF state or can be enabled within the Windows Recovery option in Control Panels.

Our Service Center can provide you with a recovery service and revert your device back to its original pre-installed status.

LCD Panel

Definition of bright dot/black dot:

Bright dot appears as a pixel that is always lit or "ON".

If there are any bright dots found within the first 30 days after purchase, the LCD panel can be replaced once.

Black dot appears as a pixel that is always dark or "OFF", or in an abnormal color. XPG does not offer at this moment In time a ZERO BLACK DOT FREE service.
