Preliminary Information Prior to Use of the Appliance
Coffee Selection
Coffee starts to loose its aromas immediately after it's ground. For this reason, if coffee is made immediately after grinding, more aromatic and flavourous results can be obtained. The coffee chosen for espresso should be freshly ground and roasted in the espresso setting. This setting is usually specified as Medium Dark Roast and Dark Roast in the packaging.

WARNING!!
Do not use roasted coffee with sugar and aroma flavours; they can clog the filter and damage the appliance. If you accidentally use one of the sugar-roasted or flavored coffee types stop using the unit and take it to the nearest authorized service centre for maintenance.

NOTE!
This type of coffee can change the taste of coffees therefore it should be operated at least 5 times with water and taste aroma must be removed.
Coffee Size Selection
Grinding the coffee correctly, choosing the right coffee size is the most important step of the coffee preparation. In order to use it with the machine, you can grind a coffee in the espresso setting or buy a coffee that has been ground with this setting. This setting is for a grind between Turkish coffee and filter coffee.
If you make the grinding right, you can get an espresso that has been completely brewed. If the grinding is finer than it should be, it will flow very slowly as the coffee flows from the filter holder, which causes your coffee to burn. If your coffee is ground thicker than it should be, the filter will flow fast through the holder. This results in an increase in the acidity(sourness) of your coffee and prevents you from having a fully brewed coffee with a balanced taste and flavour.
The most important step after brewing coffee at home is the correct coffee thickness. For the correct thickness of the coffee, the most accurate grinder should be selected. Fakir Signature
Coffee Grinder or Fakir Aroma Grinda Coffee Grinder is ideal to adjust the correct coffee size.
Coffee Types
Espresso
Espresso is the essence of the coffee. It is a beverage that forms the basis of espresso-based coffees. It is a beverage made with freshly ground coffee and roasted in the Italian coffee tradition of 8.5 g espresso.
Latte
Espresso is a type of coffee that is easy to drink by adding milk. It is a drink made with about 1/4 Espresso and 3/4 steamed milk.
Cappuccino
Cappuccino is an espresso-based coffee type similar to Latte. A beverage made with about 1/3 Espresso, 1/3 steamed milk and 1/3 frothed milk.
Determination of the amount of coffee
Before determining the coffee you choose, determine the quantity of coffee to be selected from the table below.
| Espresso | Small Size | 40-60 ml |
| Large Size | 90-110 ml | |
| Cappuccino | Small Size | 80-150 ml |
| Large Size | 160-300 ml | |
| Latte | Small Size | 160-300 ml |
| Large Size | 250-350 ml |
