Safety advice for swimming pools
■

WARNING! DANGER TO LIFE FROM
DROWNING! Never leave children or non-swimmers unsupervised in the pool. Danger to life from

drowning. Never allow anyone to be left alone in the pool. Make sure that at least one person who knows how to operate the pool is always present.
■

WARNING! DANGER TO LIFE! Never dive or jump into the pool. The depth of water is very shallow and the result could be loss of life or injury.
WARNING! DANGER TO LIFE! Never allow non-swimmers in the pool without flotation aids and / or life jackets.
- Place a fence around the pool to make it secure from infants and small children.
- Keep the pool free of dirt and algae. Make regular use of chemicals specially intended for swimming pools to avoid pollutants and colonisation by bacteria. Ask a specialist pool equipment dealer about suitable chemicals for your pool.
Never add chemicals just as the pool is about to be used or when there is anyone in it. Ignoring this advice may lead to skin and eye irritation. Never add chemicals if you do not know their effect and correct dosage. Instead find out the details from a pool equipment dealer.
Test the pH value and chlorine content of the water regularly. Ask a pool equipment supplier about suitable tests. - Check all accessories and materials regularly for rust, wear and/or other damage.
Note that the product is a seasonal product. Put the product way tidily if it is not to be used for a long period. - Ensure that the supporting surface below the pool bottom is level, flat and free of objects and pointed stones. Failure to observe this advice may result in injury and / or damage to the product.
- Before installation
□ Select a suitable location for the pool.
CAUTION! DANGER OF INJURY! Never try to move the pool if it is filled with water. This could result in injury.
CAUTION! The pool must be placed more than 3.5 m away from the adaptor 14 and the power socket (see fig. E)!
CAUTION! The filter pump7 must be placed more than 2 m away from the pool (see fig. E)!
☐ Ensure that the maximum possible safety distance is achieved between the pool and the pump 7 and the adaptor 14 and a safety distance between the pool and any electrical power outlet socket should also be ensured. The maximum possible safety distance is limited by the lengths of the hose and the mains lead (see fig. E).
☐ The filter pump 7 must be vertically fixed to the ground or a certain pedestal made of wood or concrete! Use the holes in the base of the filter pump 7 and fix it with screws! The pedestal must weight 18 kg at least to prevent the filter pump 7 from falling over!
☐ Ensure that the supporting surface is solid, flat and even.
CAUTION! If the supporting surface is uneven, the installed and water-filled pool could overturn, resulting in injury and / or damage to the product.
☐ Ensure that the supporting surface is free of pointed objects and stones.
☐ Do not set up the pool directly under high voltage lines or under trees. Ensure that there are no services pipes or cables below the supporting surface.
● Bringing into use
- Assembling the pool
CAUTION! Do not drag the pool membrane 1 over the ground. It could tear. Note: You will require a hand-operated pump for this stage of the work.
- Unfold the pool membrane 1 carefully so that it lies flat on the supporting surface (see Fig. A).
- Then check all the seams and surfaces for damage.
- Carefully pump up the support ring 2. When doing this, ensure that the support ring 2 lies on top of the pool membrane 1 (see Fig. B).
CAUTION! Ensure that the support ring is inflated to the rated pressure 0.58 psi (0.04 bar) exactly. To check the inflation pressure there is an air pressure gauge 16 printed on the pool. Please refer to picture G. Place the supplied measuring strip 17 onto the air pressure gauge 16. If both have exactly the same length the rated pressure is reached. Stop pumping then. Please refer to pictures D and G. Do not inflate the support ring 2 beyond this point, otherwise the support ring 2 could burst or the seams tear.
IMPORTANT! Keep in mind that air temperature and weather conditions can affect the air pressure inside inflatable products. In cold weather the product behaves as if it has less air pressure in it because the air inside contracts. Under these conditions you may have to add air. In hot weather the air inside expands. Under these conditions may have to remove air in order to avoid overfilling.
- Close the inlet 4, outlet 5 and the drain 6 on the inside of the pool.
- Introduce a maximum of 2 cm water into the pool using a garden hose and smooth out any kinks and folds in the pool membrane from the inside. At the same time press the transition between the pool bottom and wall outwards (see Fig. C). Alternatively you can grasp the pool floor from below and pull it outwards to get it smooth.
Note: Check again that the pool is standing on a level surface.
- Now fill the pool with water using a garden hose.
CAUTION! DANGER OF INJURY! Avoid uneven distribution of water. If the water is not uniformly distributed or the pool inclines to the side then this indicates that the supporting surface is not level enough. Stop filling the pool immediately. Drain the water (see "Draining the water") and find a new suitable location.
CAUTION! DANGER OF INJURY! Never try to move the pool if it is filled with water. This could result in injury.
Bringing into use / What to do in an emergency / Maintenance / Cleaning and care
-
Monitor the pool the whole time during filling. The pool wall and the support ring 2 should rise as more and more water is introduced. Ensure that the pool is filling evenly and does not leak.
-
Stop filling as soon as the water reaches the underside of the support ring 2 and the pool wall is stable (see Fig. D). The maximum filling height is 56 cm.
CAUTION! DANGER OF INJURY! Never exceed the maximum filling height.
CAUTION! Ensure that no one jumps, lies or leans on the supporting ring. This can affect the stability of the pool, resulting in flooding, injury and/or damage to the product.
Your pool is now ready for use.
- Connecting the filter pump
WARNING! DANGER TO LIFE! Never use the filter pump 7 if there is anyone in the pool.
CAUTION! Do not operate the filter pump 7 if there is no water in the pool. Failure to observe this advice may result in damage to the filter pump 7.
☐ Select a suitable location for the filter pump 7.
WARNING! DANGER TO LIFE FROM ELECTRIC SHOCK! Ensure that the maximum possible safety distance is achieved between the edge of the pool and the pump 7. Note: Ensure that there is a properly installed electrical power outlet socket within reach of the mains lead 14.
TIP! Place the filter pump7 at least 20 cm below the level of the surface of the water to obtain the best performance.
☐ Push one end of the hose 11 on to the inlet 8 of the filter pump 7. Attach the hose 11 in place with the clamp 9 and locking screw 10. Tighten the locking screw 10 (see Fig. E).
☐ Connect the other end of the hose 11 to the outlet 5 on the outside of the pool wall. Attach the hose 11 in place with the clamp 9 and locking screw 10. Tighten the locking screw 10 (see Fig. E).

☐ Connect the other end of the hose 11 to the inlet 4 on the outside of the pool wall. Attach the hose 11 in place with the clamp 9 and locking screw 10. Tighten the locking screw 10 (see Fig. E).
Open the inlet 4 and outlet 5 on the inside of the pool wall and place a filter mesh 12 on the inlet 4 and outlet 5 (see Fig. E).
Open the air valve 15 on top of the pump by turning it clockwise to release air from the pump.
□ Wait some time to allow the chambers of the filter pump 7 to fill with water.
☐ Close the air valve 15 when water comes out of the opening. Thoroughly dry the water from all parts of the pump 7 and the ground. Dry your hands.
Connect the mains lead 14 to a properly installed electrical power outlet socket.
☐ Remove the filter pump 7 in the reverse order.
- Draining the water
WARNING! DANGER TO LIFE FROM ELECTRIC SHOCK!
Always disconnect the mains lead 14 from the mains socket before you drain any water from the pool.
CAUTION! Always drain water from the pool if the maximum filling height (56 cm) has been exceeded due to rainwater or the like. Failure to observe this advice may result in injury and / or damage to the product.
☐ Ensure that the drain 6 on the inside of the pool wall is fully closed.
Open the drain 6 on the outside of the pool wall and push a garden hose on it (see Fig. F).
Place the other end of your garden hose somewhere where the water can drain away safely - e.g. into an outfall or gully.
☐ Now close the inlet 4 and outlet 5 on the inside wall of the pool.
☐ Now release the locking screws 10 of the clamps 9 and pull off the two hoses 11 from the inlet 4 and outlet 5 on the outside wall of the pool (see Fig. E).
Open the drain 6 on the inside wall of the pool. The water begins to drain immediately.
☐ Remove the garden hose from the drain ☐ on the outside of the pool wall as soon as there is no more water in the pool (see Fig. F).
☐ Close the drain 6 on the inside wall of the pool.
● What to do in an emergency

WARNING! DANGER TO LIFE! Always observe the following maintenance instructions. Failure to do so risks injury and loss of life - especially for children.
- Careful testing of the water (pH value and chlorine content) is essential for good water quality and the product to provide a long service life. Therefore it is important to test pH value and chloride content regularly. Ask a pool equipment supplier about suitable testing kits and how to use them. - Never allow chlorine compounds to come into contact with the pool membrane 1 before they have been completely dissolved in water. Dissolve the granulated chlorine compounds or tablets in a bucket of water first and only then add them to the water in the pool. Add the chlorine compound solution to the water at different points so that it can mix directly with the water in the pool.
CAUTION! DANGER OF INJURY! Always add the chemicals to the water - never the other way around.
☐ Never mix different chemicals together directly. Add chemicals one at a time to the pool water and wait until each chemical has mixed with the pool water. Only then may a further chemical be added.
Read carefully and observe the manufacturers' instructions.
☐ We recommend that the filter pump 7 be used every day if the pool is frequently used during the season. Ensure that the filter pump 7 runs long enough for all the water in the pool to be filtered.
Check the pressure of the air in the support ring 2 daily.
☐ Check the filling height of the water in the pool daily.
- Cleaning and care
☐ Regularly check and clean the filter element inside the filter pump body. Unplug the power cord. Unscrew the head of the pump and take out the filter element. Rinse off with clear water and remove foreign objects. Insert it into the pump body. Ensure to position it centered, when closing the head of the pump.
