Frequently Asked Questions - Elektrogrill 10033448 Klarstein

How to assemble the cart?
Follow steps 1 to 9 of the manual: attach the supports, mount the wheels, unfold the cart by lifting the table and pulling the tube, lock the safety (spring and hook). Mount the housing on the holding tube and insert the cooking plate.
How to set the temperature?
Use the removable thermostat: plug it into the connector, then set the desired temperature level (1 to 5). The indicator light turns off when the temperature is reached. Caution: do not pull on the cable to remove it.
How to clean the cooking plate?
Unplug the appliance and let it cool completely. Remove the thermostat. Clean the plate and grease tray with warm water and a damp cloth. Do not use steel wool sponges, brushes, or scouring pads to preserve the non-stick coating.
Should the grease tray be emptied often?
Yes, its capacity is 0.3 liters. Remove the grease as soon as it is full. The surface becomes very hot: use heat-resistant gloves. You can pour a little water into it to facilitate cleaning before emptying.
How to remove the lid?
Open the lid at a 45° angle, then remove the hinges from the base holes. To reattach, push the hinges into the holes. Always hold the lid only by the handle.
Can I use the grill indoors?
Yes, but follow safety instructions: install on a stable and heat-resistant surface, away from flammable objects, at least 30 cm from walls. Do not place under a cabinet. Avoid damp rooms.
How to store the grill?
Let it cool completely. Remove the table (R) by pressing the pins. Fold the cart (reverse step 5). Lock the lid with the loop (W) on the chassis. Make sure the lock (V) is closed.
What are the recommended cooking times?
For guidance: steak/beef level 5: 15-20 min, chicken thighs: 25-30 min, sausages level 3-4: 12-15 min. Times vary depending on size and whether you use the lid. Consult the full table in the manual.
Why does meat stick to the plate?
The plate has a non-stick coating. If this happens, rub it with a cloth soaked in oil. Avoid using metal utensils (fork) to turn food; use tongs or a spatula instead.
What to do in case of breakdown or damaged part?
Immediately stop using the appliance. Do not repair it yourself. Contact a qualified professional or the manufacturer. The damaged power cord must be replaced by the manufacturer or a specialist.

3 The temperature indicator lamp will turn off when the desired temperature is reached.
4 Place the food on the grill plate.

Cooking times

The table shows the recommended cooking times. However, the actual cooking time varies depending on the size and weight of the food and also depends on whether you are grilling with or without a lid.

Food to be grilled Temperature setting Cooking time
Steak/beef 5 15-20 mins
Lamb 5 12-18 mins
Chicken drumsticks 5 25-30 mins
Chops 5 20-25 mins
Chicken wings 5 15-20 mins
Fillet of pork 4-5 9-10 mins
Whole fish5 12-15 mins
Kebabs3-410-12 mins
Various sausages3-412-15 mins

Tips for grilling

  • Your meat will be tendered if you marinade it overnight before cooking (the marinade is always made of oil (to and moistness), vinegar (to tenderize) and a mixture of seasonings).
  • Always use tongs or some form of scoop to turn the grilled food (using a fork to turn the food will dry it out and damage the non-stick coating).
  • Only turn meat and fish once during grilling. You do not need to turn it more than once and too much turning dries food out.
  • Never cook meat for too long. Even pork is better if it is served when it is still somewhat pink and juicy.
  • If cooked food sticks to the grill plate, rub the plate with a piece of kitchen paper soaked in oil from time to time.

CLEANING AND CARE

  • Disconnect the appliance from the mains electricity supply.
  • Allow the grill to cool completely.
    • Take the detachable temperature regulator out of the appliance socket.
  • Clean the grill plate and grease collecting bowl with warm washing-up water and damp cloth. Do not use steel wool pads, brush or abrasives to avoid any damages to the coating of grill.
  • Wipe the base of the appliance with a damp cloth. Fat splashes can be removed with a mild cleaning agent.

Note: The grill plate has a non-stick coating. Do not scratch this coating during either the grilling or the cleaning stages.
