We congratulate you on the purchase of your new product. You have chosen a high quality product. The instructions for use are part of the product. They contain important information concerning safety, use and disposal. Before using the product, please familiarise yourself with all of the safety information and instructions for use. Only use the product as described and for the specified applications. If you pass the product on to anyone else, please ensure that you also pass on all the documentation with it.
• Proper use
The product is intended for measuring the weight of people. The product has a weighing range of up to 180 kg. The product is suitable for indoor environment only. The product is intended only for use in a private domestic environment and not for commercial use. The manufacturer is not liable for damage caused by improper use.

CHILDREN! Never leave children unsupervised with the packaging materials or the product. Otherwise there is a risk to life from suffocation. Always keep children away from the product. This product is not a toy.
This product can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the product in a safe way and understand the hazards involved. Children shall not play with the product. Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children without supervision.

onto the product with wet feet and do not use the product if the platform is moist. You might slip.
- Protect your product from impact, moisture, dust, chemicals and sudden changes in temperature and keep it away from sources of heat (ovens, heating radiators).
- Check the product for damage before bringing it into use. If the product is damaged do not use it.
■ Remove the battery if the product breaks down or is defective. Otherwise the battery is more likely to leak.
■ Always have any repairs carried out at the service centre or by an electrical equipment repair specialist.

Safety instructions for batteries/rechargeable batteries
■ DANGER TO LIFE! Keep batteries/rechargeable batteries out of reach of children. If accidentally swallowed seek immediate medical attention.
DANGER OF EXPLOSION! Never recharge
non-rechargeable batteries. Do not short-circuit batteries /
rechargeable batteries and/or open them. Overheating, fire or bursting can be the result.
■ Never throw batteries/rechargeable batteries into fire or water.
■ Do not exert mechanical loads to batteries/rechargeable batteries.
Risk of leakage of batteries / rechargeable batteries
■Avoid extreme environmental conditions and temperatures, which could affect batteries / rechargeable batteries, e.g. radiators / direct sunlight.
- Avoid contact with the skin, eyes and mucous membranes. In the event of contact with battery acid, thoroughly flush the affected area with plenty of clean water and seek immediate medical attention.

EAR PROTECTIVE
GLOVES! Leaked or damaged batteries/rechargeable batteries can cause burns on contact with the skin. Wear suitable protective gloves at all times if such an event occurs.
In the event of a leakage of batteries/rechargeable batteries, immediately remove them from the product to prevent damage.
■ Only use the same type of batteries/rechargeable batteries. Do not mix used and new batteries/rechargeable batteries.
■Remove batteries/rechargeable batteries if the product will not be used for a longer period.
Risk of damage of the product
■Only use the specified type of battery/rechargeable battery!
■Insert batteries / rechargeable batteries according to polarity marks (+) and (-) on the battery / rechargeable battery and the product.
■Clean the contacts on the battery / rechargeable battery and in the battery compartment before inserting!
■Remove exhausted batteries / rechargeable batteries from the product immediately.
- Before first use
☐ Remove all packaging materials from the product.
- Initial use (see Fig. H)
- Turn the product over and place it on a soft underlay to avoid scratching the surface.

Remove the screw on the battery compartment cover 5.
-
Open the battery compartment 4 at the back of the product by pushing the battery compartment cover clip 6 on the battery compartment cover 5 toward the battery compartment 4 and lifting off the battery compartment cover 5.

Remove the insulating strip 7 under the battery.
-
Reattach the battery compartment cover 5 to the battery compartment 4. Be sure to insert the retaining pin on the battery compartment cover 5 into the notch on the edge of the battery compartment 4.
Firmly press the battery compartment cover 5 into the battery compartment 4 until you hear it lock into place.
- Lock the battery compartment cover 5 with the screw.

Turn the product over and place it on a soft underlay to avoid scratching the surface.

Replace the battery when the product is not in use.

Remove the screw on the battery compartment cover 5.
-
Open the battery compartment cover 5 as described in chapter "Initial use".

Remove the drained battery by pulling the locking tab 8 until the battery is automatically released. Remove the battery from the battery compartment 4.
Note: The LC display 1 will show then to replace the battery. When standing on the product if the battery is low, the LC display 1 will display "Lo" (see Fig. C) and the product will automatically switch off.
Note: When the product displays "Lo", replace the drained battery with a new battery of the type specified under „Technical data“.

Insert a new battery in the battery compartment 4. Be sure to insert the battery correctly, with the "+" pole up. The battery must be pushed into the battery compartment 4 until secured in place by the locking tab 8.

Close the battery compartment 4 as described in chapter "Initial use". Lock the battery compartment cover 5 with the screw.
- Setting the units of weight
Note: The standard unit of weight is kilogram (kg). The factory default setting for the product as supplied is "kg".
☐ Press the kg/lb/st button 3 to select the unit of weight. The units will be displayed in the LC display 1 as follows:
Kilogram (kg): see Figure A
Pound (lb): see Figure E
Stone (st): see Figure F
- Switching on your product / measuring your weight
① Tip: Weigh yourself at the same time of day (preferably in the morning) after visiting the toilet, with an empty stomach and without clothing to ensure that your results are compatible.
Place the product down on a solid, flat horizontal surface.
☐ Step on to the product.
Place even weight on each leg.
☐ If at all possible stand on the same areas of the platform each time and do not move. Moving during the weighing process can lead to discrepancies in the results.
The product will start to measure immediately. After blinking 3 times, the weight display will display the result, as shown in, for example, Fig. B.
Note: If the product shows "oL" (see Fig. D), it signals that the product is overloaded. Observe the maximum capacity of 180 kg (396 lb / 28 st).
Step off the platform. The product switches off automatically after about 10 seconds. Until then the weight measurement remains visible.
Note: After a change of location and following every battery change, the product must be re-calibrated. To do this, proceed as follows:
☐ Step onto the product. The product will show you an incorrect measuring result. Step off the platform 2. The product will calibrate automatically.
☐ Wait until the product switches off automatically.
☐ Step onto the product once again. The product will show you the correct measuring result.
- Troubleshooting
This product has delicate electronic components. This means that if it is placed near an object that transmits radio signals, it could cause interference. If the LC display 1 indicates a problem, move such objects away from it.
Electrostatic charge can lead to the product failing. In cases of the product failing to work remove the batteries for a short while and then replace them.
- Cleaning
☐ Clean the product using a slightly moist cloth. For more stubborn dirt you can also apply a weak soap solution to the cloth.
☐ Never immerse the product in water or other liquids. Ignoring this advice may damage the product.
●Disposal

The packaging is made entirely of recyclable materials, which you may dispose of at local recycling facilities. The Green Dot is not valid for Germany.

Observe the marking of the packaging materials for waste separation, which are marked with abbreviations (a) and numbers (b) with following meaning:
1-7: plastics / 20-22: paper and fibre-board/80-98: composite materials.

The product and packaging materials are recyclable, dispose of it separately for better waste treatment. The Triman logo is valid in France only.

Contact your local refuse disposal authority for more details of how to dispose of your worn-out product.

To help protect the environment, please dispose of the product properly when it has reached the end of its useful life and not in the household waste. Information on collection points and their opening hours can be obtained from your local authority.
Faulty or used batteries / rechargeable batteries must be recycled in accordance with Directive 2006/66/EC and its amendments. Please return the batteries/rechargeable batteries and/or the product to the available collection points.

Environmental damage through incorrect disposal of the batteries / rechargeable batteries!
Batteries / rechargeable batteries may not be disposed of with the usual domestic waste. They may contain toxic heavy metals and are subject to hazardous waste treatment rules and regulations. The chemical symbols for heavy metals are as follows: Cd = cadmium, Hg = mercury, Pb = lead. That is why you should dispose of used batteries / rechargeable batteries at a local collection point.
Warranty
The product has been manufactured to strict quality guidelines and meticulously examined before delivery. In the event of product defects you have legal rights against the retailer of this product. Your legal rights
are not limited in any way by our warranty detailed below.
The warranty for this product is 3 years from the date of purchase. Should this product show any fault in materials or manufacture within 3 years from the date of purchase, we will repair or replace it – at our choice – free of charge to you.
The warranty period begins on the date of purchase. Please keep the original sales receipt in a safe location. This document is required as your proof of purchase. This warranty becomes void if the product has been damaged, or used or maintained improperly.
The warranty applies to defects in material or manufacture. This warranty does not cover product parts subject to normal wear, thus possibly considered consumables (e.g. batteries) or for damage to fragile parts, e.g. switches, rechargeable batteries or glass parts.
