How do I clear a number I just entered?

Press the CE (Clear Entry) key to clear the last entered number without losing the current operations.

What to do if the display becomes dim?

This indicates that the backup battery needs to be replaced. Replace the CR2032 lithium battery following the procedure in the manual.

How do I clear all memory?

Press the CM (Clear Memory) key to clear the contents of the independent memory.

The calculator turns off by itself, is that normal?

Yes, the calculator has an auto power-off function after approximately 7 minutes of inactivity to save energy. Press C ON to turn it back on.

How to calculate a selling price with a 35% margin?

Use the profit margin function. For example, for a purchase price of €500 and a 35% margin, enter 500, press COST, enter 35, press MARGIN, then read the selling price.

Can I use the calculator in direct sunlight?

Yes, the solar cell works best in bright light. However, avoid prolonged exposure to extreme temperatures.

What does the 'E' display mean?

The E symbol indicates an error (e.g., capacity overflow). Press CE or C ON to clear the error.

How to clean the calculator?

Use a soft, dry cloth. Never use solvents, chemicals, or a damp cloth. Do not touch the solar cell with your fingers.

Where to get my calculator repaired?

Contact exclusively a qualified Sharp dealer or a Sharp-approved service center for any repairs.

How to recycle the used battery?

Take the used battery to your dealer or after-sales service. Do not dispose of it in a heat source, water, or regular trash.

This equipment complies with the requirements of Directive 89/336/EEC as amended by 93/68/EEC.

Thank you for your purchase of the SHARP electronic calculator, model EL-2135.

To insure trouble-free operation of your SHARP calculator, we recommend the following:

1. The calculator should be kept in areas free from extreme temperature changes, moisture, and dust.
2. A soft, dry cloth should be used to clean the calculator. Do not use solvents or wet cloth.
3. The solar cell is delicate. It should not be pressed or tampered with.
4. If service should be required on this equipment, use only a SHARP servicing dealer, a SHARP approved service facility or SHARP repair service where available.

POWER SUPPLY

Backup Battery

If the light exposed to the solar cell is insufficient, the backup battery is turned on automatically to operate the calculator.

Automatic Power-Off function:

This calculator is automatically turned off approximately 7 minutes after the last key operation to save the battery.
