Frequently Asked Questions - KH 670 BIFINETT

How do I start ice production?
Fill the water reservoir up to the fill line (ca. 3.5 L) with drinking water. Place the ice cube collector container inside, close the lid, and press the ON/OFF button. The machine will start pumping water and freezing.
What type of water should I use?
Only use drinking water for ice production. For health reasons, discard the first batch of ice cubes.
How do I select the ice cube size?
Press the Ice Cube Size button repeatedly until the control lamp under the desired size (small, medium, large) glows. If ambient temperature exceeds 16°C, choose small or medium to prevent sticking.
What should I do if no ice cubes are produced?
Check if the water temperature is between 7°C and 32°C and ambient temperature below 32°C. Ensure the water reservoir is filled and the ice collector container is not full. If the issue persists, contact the Service department.
How do I clean the ice maker?
Unplug the appliance, allow it to cool, and drain any remaining water via the drainage valve at the rear. Wipe all surfaces with a lightly moistened cloth. Do not use cleaning agents or solvents. Leave the lid open until dry.
How should I store the ice maker when not in use?
Ensure the machine is completely dry inside. Store it in a dry place. During transportation or storage, do not tip the appliance.
What does it mean when the 'Ice cube collector container' indicator glows?
The ice cube collector container is full. Remove the ice cubes to allow the machine to continue automatically.
Can I use an extension cord?
No, do not use extension cables. In an emergency, the power plug must be quickly accessible.

Starting up

Before starting up the appliance, make certain that ...

  • the appliance, power plug and power cable are in a faultless condition and
  • all packaging materials have been removed from the Ice Cube Machine.
First of all, clean the appliance as described in the chapter „Cleaning and Care“.

① Note: Allow the Ice Cube Machine to stand undisturbed for 12 hours before taking it into use, this will permit the cooling agent to settle and allow the appliance to adjust itself to the ambient temperature.
⚠ Important: Never cover the ventilation slots. Ensure it is placed at a sufficient distance from walls (min.15cm).

Producing ice cubes

  1. Place the power plug in a wall socket. The control lamp ON/OFF ⑪ flashes, showing the standby readiness of the Ice Cube Machine.
① Note: Only use drinking water for the production of ice cubes.
① Note: For health and hygiene reasons you should dispose of the ice cubes produced in the first production cycle and not use them for the cooling of foodstuffs or drinks.
  2. Open the lid ① and remove the ice cube collector container ③ from the appliance.
  3. Pour water in up to the fill marking ("Fill Line") inside the water reservoir ④. The water reservoir holds ca. 3,5 Liters ④.
    (i) Note: To achieve correctly sized ice cubes the water temperature must lie between 7°C and 32°C.

bifinett KH 670

  1. Replace the ice cube collector container ③ into the appliance and close the lid ①.
  2. Press the button ON/OFF 10 on the control panel 5. The control lamp ON/OFF 11 glows. The Ice Cube Machine pumps water to the cooling/heating pipes 2 and commences with freezing.
  3. Select the desired ice cube size: Press repeatedly on the button ice cube size 12 until the control lamp 7 glows under the desired size. Should the ambient temperature exceed 16°C, selecting the small or medium size is to be recommended. Otherwise, the ice cubes could stick to each other.

⚠ Important: Under no circumstances should you place your hands or fingers in the Ice Cube Machine during the freezing process!

After ca. 15 minutes the finished ice cubes automatically slide through the throw-out mechanism into the ice cube collector container ③.

The Ice Cube Machine automatically interrupts the freezing process if the ice cube collector container is full ③ or the water reservoir ④ is empty:

  • The display „Content level - Ice cube collector container“ ⑧ on the control panel ⑤ glows:
The ice cube collector container is full. Remove the ice cubes. The Ice Cube Machine automatically continues the process.

  • The display „Content level - Water reservoir“ ⑨ on the control panel ⑤ glows.
There is too little water in the water reservoir ④. Refill it. Wait for 3 minutes until the cooling agent in the compressor has settled.
Press the button ON/OFF 10. The ice cube machine switches itself off.
Press the button ON/OFF 10. The ice cube machine restarts itself.

① Note: On hygienic grounds the water in the water reservoir should be changed every 24 hours.
① Note: Should the appliance become separated from the mains network during operation or the lamps on the control panel glow, please check to see if an ice cube is blocking the throw-out mechanism. Should this be the case, remove the plug from the wall socket and carefully move the throw-out mechanism to the rear! Loosen and remove the blocking ice cube.

In the ice cube collector container ③ the ice cubes are kept cool for a short period.
