Safety Instructions À Danger of electrical shock! + Connect the Ice Crusher to a properly installed power socket with a mains voltage of 220 - 240 V/50 Hz. + In case of malfunctioning or before you decide to clean the Ice Crusher unplug the appliance from the power socket. Do not attempt to immerse the Ice Crusher in any liquid and ensure that liquids do not seep into the casing of the Ice Crusher. + Do not expose the appliance to humidity and do not use it outdoors. If by chance liquids do enter into the casing, unplug the appliance from the power socket immediately and have it repaired by a qualified technician. + Never touch the Ice Crusher, power cord or plug with wet hands. + To unplug the power cord, always pull out the plug from the socket and do not pull at the cord itself. + Do not crease or crimp the power cord and place the power cord in such a way to prevent anyone from stepping or tripping over it. + Arrange for defective power plugs and/or cables to be replaced as soon as possible by a qualified technician or by our Customer Service Department to avoid the risk of injury. + For reasons of safety, do not open the Ice Crusher casing under any circumstances. Failure to comply with this instruction renders the warranty null and void. + Disconnect the Ice Crusher from the mains soon after use. Only when you unplug the appliance is it completely safe. À Danger of injuries! + Do not allow individuals [including children] to use the appliance whose physical, sensorial or mental abilities or lack of experience and knowledge hinder their safe usage of it if they have not previously been supervised or instructed in its correct usage. + Tell children about the appliance and its poten- tial dangers so that they do not play with it. + Never inset objects or your fingers into the filling shaft. This is can cause injuries, as the cutters may be rotating inside. À Fire hazard + You may not permit the Ice Crusher to run for longer than 10 minutes. After this period it MUST be switched off, otherwise it will over- heat. Allow the appliance to cool down completely before switching it back on. À Attention + Do not clean the components ofthe Ice Crusher in a dishwasher, as this may damaged them. Technical Data

+ Instruction manual Operation > Before you use the Ice Crusher for the first time, remove all packing material and make sure that all accessories are present. À Fire hazard: Never exceed the maximum operating duration of 10 minutes. Allow the appliance to cool down completely before switching it back on. À Injury hazard: Never insert objects or your fingers into the filling shaft. This is can cause injuries, as the cutters may be rotating inside. > Connect the power cord plug to the mains. > Press the ON/OFF switch @ and allow the appliance to run for a few seconds, before you fill in ice cubes. > Remove the lid @. <> Place an ice cube over the filling shaft flap @. “> Press the lever @ until the ice cube falls into the grinder. > Place the lid @ back into position and hold it firmly on the top. "> Ifthe ice cube is crushed, repeat the operation with the next ice cube. © Note: Too much ice can cause blockage or seizure ofthe grinder assembly. In such a case … <> switch the Ice Crusher off and unplug the cord. > Remove excessive ice or waït till the ice is melted and the grinder assembly is defrosted. When the collecting vessel @ is full … > draw ouf the collecting vessel @ and remove the crushed ice using the ice shovel ©. Cleaning À Danger of electrical shock Before you clean the Ice Crusher, unplug the appli ance from the power socket. Never dip the appliance in water while cleaning or hold it under running water.

Do not use any abrasive detergents or brushes to clean the appliance; such material can damage the surface. > Unplug the power cord from the socket. > Clean the outer surface of the casing @ with a soft, damp cloth. > Clean the rest of the attachments under flowing water and dry them well with a dry cloth. Storage > Make sure that the appliance and all the components are completely dry before you decide to store it away. > Wind the cable around the compartment provided for this purpose at the bottom ofthe appliance. (fig. 2) > Keep the Ice Crusher in a dry place. Disposal Do not dispose of the appliance in your normal domestic waste. This === product is subject to the European guideline 2002/96/EC. Dispose of the appliance through an approved disposal centre or at your community waste facility. Observe the currently applicable regulations. In case of doubt, please contact your waste disposal centre. Dispose of all packaging materials in an LS environmentally friendly manner. Warranty & Service The warranty for this appliance is for 3 years from the date of purchase. The appliance has been manufactured with care and meticulously examined before delivery. Please retain your receipt as proof of purchase. In the case of a warranty claim, please make contact by telephone with our service depart ment. Only in this way can a postfree despatch for your goods be assured. The warranty covers only claims for material and manufacturing defects, not for wearing parts or for damage to fragile components. This product is for private use only and is not intended for commercial use. The warranty is void in the case of abusive and improper handling, use of force and internal tampering not carried out by our authorized service branch.
