Frequently Asked Questions - Senior T2 TESLA

How do I perform an initial channel scan on the Tesla Senior T2?

After connecting the antenna and power, turn on the receiver. The installation menu will appear automatically. Select Auto Search and press OK. The receiver will scan and store all available DVB-T/T2 channels.

Can I use a USB hard drive to record TV shows?

Yes, the Tesla Senior T2 supports PVR recording via USB. Connect a USB storage device (flash drive or external hard drive) to the front USB port. In the Multimedia menu, configure the DVR settings and format the storage if needed.

How do I enable parental lock and what is the default PIN?

Go to Channel List > Parental Lock. The default password is 0000. You can set an age rating; channels exceeding that rating will require the password to watch.

What video resolutions are supported via HDMI?

The receiver supports resolutions up to 1080p. You can change the output resolution in AV Settings > Output Video Resolution (options include 480i, 576i, 720p, 1080i, 1080p).

Why is there no picture or sound?

Ensure the receiver is powered on and the correct TV input (HDMI or SCART) is selected. Check antenna connection and that you have performed a channel scan. If using SCART, verify the cable is fully inserted.

How do I set the time manually if the automatic GMT setting is off?

In the Time menu, set GMT Usage to Off. Then manually enter the Date and Time using the numeric keys on the remote. Also adjust GMT Offset for your time zone.

Can I update the firmware? How?

Yes. Download the latest firmware from the Tesla website to a USB stick. Insert the USB into the receiver, go to System > USB Update & Backup, and select the update file. Alternatively, you can update via the network if connected to the internet (Network > Update from Network).

What is the difference between the two remote controls?

The full-featured remote has advanced buttons like PVR controls, teletext, and subtitle. The Senior remote has larger buttons with fewer functions (power, volume, channel, OK, numeric keys, TV/Radio, EPG) for easier use.

How do I reset the receiver to factory settings?

Go to System > Factory Setting. Enter the password (default 0000) and confirm. This will delete all channels and personalized settings.

The remote control is not working. What should I do?

First, check the batteries and replace if needed. Ensure there are no obstructions between the remote and the receiver. Point the remote directly at the front panel. If still not working, try resetting the receiver by unplugging it for 10 seconds.

2.1. Front side of the receiver

1) POWER: Switch the receiver between operating and standby mode.
2) MENU: Displays the receiver menu.
3) P+/P-: Change the station or change the item in the menu of the receiver.
4) VOL+/-: Increase/decrease the volume.
5) OK: Confirm the selection or display the list of stations.
6) DISPLAY: Displays the number of the selected station. Shows local time in standby mode.

3. INSTALLATION GUIDE

After correctly connecting the necessary devices, turn on the TV and make sure that the receiver is connected to the mains. Press the power button to turn it on. If you are connecting the receiver for the first time or if you have restored the factory settings, the installation menu will appear on the screen in the form of a station search.

4. RECEIVER MENU

MAIN MENU: Press the MENU button to open the main menu of the receiver.

5. CHANNEL LIST

5.1. TV channel list

Here you can find all searched and saved TV stations.

5.2. Radio channel list

Here you can find all searched and saved radio stations.

5.3. Parental lock

You can set the parental lock in this menu. The receiver's default password is 0000. If the rated program exceeds the age set here, then the receiver will require a password. Otherwise, it will not be possible to watch the show.

6. CHANNEL SEARCH

6.1. Automatic search

Automatically searches for and stores available stations.

6.2. Manual search

In this menu, you can manually search for stations from the selected channel.

6.3. Region

Select the country in which the receiver will be used.

6. SEARCHING FOR STATIONS

6.4. Antenna power supply 5V

In this menu you can turn on or off the 5V power supply for the antenna amplifier. A voltage of 5V will be available on the antenna connector.

Do not turn on this power when no amplifier is in use!

6.5. LCN - logical station numbering

Select whether the receiver should only search for unscrambled stations.
