Never look directly at the Sun through these binoculars, as this may cause permanent eye damage and even blindness.

General information

Compact, reliable and sturdy, Levenhuk Energy PLUS binoculars are a perfect choice for people, who like to travel a lot, often go hiking and sometimes, along the way, find themselves in extreme situations and harsh conditions, where regular binoculars just would not do. The rugged shell of these binoculars protects the intricate optical system inside from any sudden impacts or moisture.

• Twist-up eyecups made of soft rubber, for people wearing eyeglasses (except for Energy PLUS 16x42);

Focusing and diopter adjustment

Your left eye vision might be different from that of your right eye and you might need to adjust the diopter setting on one of the eyepieces.

To do this, just follow this simple procedure:

• Look through your binoculars at a distant object;
• Close your right eye and rotate the central focusing wheel until the view is focused;
• Now, close your left eye and observe with your right. Slowly rotate the diopter adjustment ring on the right eyepiece until the view is focused again.

Now that your binoculars are focused, you only need to use the central focusing wheel during observations.

Precautionary measures

• Never, under any circumstance, look directly at the Sun, another bright source of light or at a laser through these binoculars, as this may cause PERMANENT RETINAL DAMAGE and may lead to BLINDNESS.
• Take necessary precautions when using these binoculars with children or people, who have not read and fully understood these instructions.
• Do not try to take these binoculars apart on your own. For repairs of any kind, please contact your local specialized service center.

If a strap included in the kit:

• Be careful that the he neck strap does not get wrapped around your neck and does not catch branches or other obstacles. There is a danger of strangulation!
• Please refrain from using the strap if synthetic fibers cause your skin to become irritated, inflamed or itchy in order to prevent worsening your symptoms.
• Be careful that the strap does not come loose when carrying the device, as it may be damaged when dropped.
• Do not use the strap in or next to a water pool, basin, river, sea etc. as the device's weight might cause you drown.

Care and maintenance

• Do not touch the optical surfaces with your fingers. You can use a soft napkin or a cleaning wipe, dipped in ether or absolute alcohol, to clean lenses. We recommend using special optics cleaning fluids from Levenhuk.
• Abrasive particles, such as sand, should not be wiped off lenses, but instead blown off or brushed away with a soft brush.
• Do not apply excessive pressure when adjusting focus, diopters or interpupillary distance.
• Protect your binoculars from sudden impacts and excessive mechanical force. This instrument may be used in high humidity (during rain, snowfall, etc.).
• Store your binoculars in a dry, cool place away from hazardous acids and other chemicals, away from heaters, open fire and other sources of high temperatures. Do not use your binoculars for lengthy periods of time, or leave them unattended in direct sunlight. Always store them in a special case.
• We recommend keeping the silicate gel packet if included in the kit. During long storage, a thin white film may appear on the rubber armor. You can wipe it clean with a clean napkin.
• When bringing your binoculars inside from the cold - or during any drastic change of temperature, for that matter - put them in a case and allow them to adapt to the temperature of the environment. This prevents lenses from fogging.

Levenhuk Limited Warranty

All Levenhuk telescopes, microscopes, binoculars and other optical products, except for accessories, carry a lifetime warranty against defects in materials and workmanship. Lifetime warranty is a

guarantee on the lifetime of the product on the market. All Levenhuk accessories are warranted to be free of defects in materials and workmanship for six months from date of retail purchase. Levenhuk will repair or replace such product or part thereof which, upon inspection by Levenhuk, is found to be defective in materials or workmanship. As a condition to the obligation of Levenhuk to repair or replace such product, the product must be returned to Levenhuk together with proof of purchase satisfactory to Levenhuk.

This warranty does not cover consumable parts, such as bulbs (electrical, LED, halogen, energy-saving and other types of lamps), batteries (rechargeable and non-rechargeable), electrical consumables etc.
