Operating for short periods
The appliance has been designed to be used only for short periods of time, i.e. the slicer must not be used continuously for more than 5 minutes. Switch it off after using it and allow the engine to cool before turning it back on.
Assembly/disassembly of the food tray
The food support plate has two sliding guides, one on each side, into which you need to insert the food tray.
To remove the food tray, place the thickness adjustment knob in position P and pull the food tray backwards.
Adjusting the thickness of the slices
The thickness of the slices can be changed using the adjustment knob. Always return the stop plate to its original position (zero) after use.
Operating time
The appliance should not be operated for more than 5 minutes continuously. Take a 30-minute break between 2 long uses (> 3 minutes).
Cut
Follow the instructions above when using the slicer.
- Adjust the cutting thickness using the knob; the smoothness and regularity of the cutting will depend on the food being sliced.
- For a regular cut, press moderately and constantly on the ingredient to be sliced: this will prevent any deformation of the blade.
- Position the tray so as to recover the slices that fall behind the machine.
- Fit the food pusher to the food tray, with the pebbled side facing the blade.
- Set the on/off switch to the "I" (on) position to turn on the appliance. Move the food tray toward the rotating blade.
• The food pusher with fi nger guard keeps you safe when cutting the food. - When you have finished using the appliance, turn the on/off button to the "0" (off) position and unplug the appliance from the mains power.

For safety reasons, always return the stop plate to its original position after use, so that it aligns with the blade.
practical advice
- To prevent food from sticking to the blade, moisten it with a damp cloth. This will facilitate cutting. Unplug the appliance before doing this.
• If you have prepared or baked bread, wait a few hours before slicing it. - Do not slice cooked meat too long prior to consuming it, to avoid altering the taste.
- Do not slice soft food items.
cleaning and maintenance

- Make sure that the appliance is switched off, unplugged and that the blade has finished rotating before cleaning the appliance.
- Never immerse the appliance, power cord or plug in water or any other liquid.
- Do not use abrasive cleansers, scouring sponges, or sharp objects to avoid damaging the coating.
Clean the slicer before using it for the first time or after a prolonged period of non-use.
General points
- To prevent the remains of perishable food accumulating in the slicer, clean it thoroughly after each use.
- Unplug the slicer from the power outlet before cleaning or removing accessories.
- Wait for the motor to completely stop. Put the stop plate in its original position, so that the blade does not protrude.

- Do not use abrasive or corrosive detergents. If necessary, wipe the exterior surfaces with a slightly damp lint-free cloth. The food pusher can be cleaned with hot water and a mild detergent (do not put it in the dishwasher).
Disassembling and cleaning the blade

Warning: the blade is very sharp.
Handle it with care, so as not to injure yourself.
- After cutting, pieces of food may get stuck behind the blade. Disassemble it with a coin by turning it in the direction indicated and remove any remaining food on the tray. Clean the blade.
- The stop plate and blade must be cleaned with soap and hot water. Do not clean them in the dishwasher.
- When cleaning the blade, do not remove the grease in the gearing area (risk of wearing down the transmission prematurely).
- If you find black marks on the food after cutting, dismantle the blade and remove the grease from its edges with a cloth.
Removing the stop plate
For thorough cleaning, the stop plate can be removed.
