IMPORTANT SAFETY NOTES:

▷ All safety instructions should be read carefully before use.
Before using the device, check that the current setting of the device matches the power outlet. When using electrical equipment - especially with children nearby - basic safety measures must be observed.
▷ Intended use: This device is suitable exclusively for drying human hair.
The device is designed for indoor use only and was developed for professional use in hair salons.

CAUTION!

Electric shock:

• Unplug the device after use.
- Keep the device away from moisture, water and other liquids.
- Do not use the device in the bathtub, shower, over a sink filled with water or with wet hands.
- The device must not be immersed in water or other liquids. Do not touch a device that has come into contact with water - immediately remove the mains plug.
- The device must be disconnected from the mains for cleaning, care and maintenance.
- Do not use the device if the connecting cable is damaged. Disconnect the device from the mains immediately and inform the EFALOCK customer service.

WARNING:

Do not use this device near bathtubs, washbasins or other objects containing water.

CAUTION!

Swallowing of small parts:

- Keep the device out of the reach of children. Also keep the packaging material, such as foil, away from children.

Property damage and personal injury:

• Never leave the device unattended when it is switched on. Careful supervision is required if the device is used near / for / or in the vicinity of children or disabled persons.
• The device may only be used as specified and for no other purposes.
• Do not use spare parts that have not been recommended or sold by the seller.
• Keep the connecting cable away from hot surfaces.
• Check the device frequently for damage, in particular the cable and plug. In case of doubt, have the unit checked by an authorised repair workshop.
• If the device does not work properly, has been dropped, damaged or dropped into water, do not attempt to repair the device yourself, but take it to a service centre.
  • Repairs may only be carried out by an authorised service centre.
• Never wrap the cable around the device.
• The air inlet must not be covered. Clean the air inlet regularly to protect the device from overheating. The device is equipped with a safety thermostat. In the event of overheating (e.g. if the air inlet is blocked) the device switches off automatically. In this case, contact customer service.
• The device generates heat during its use. If the set temperature seems too hot to you, lower the temperature setting.
• Do not use hairspray while the device is switched on.
• Let the device cool down after use.

NOTE!

Persons (including children) who are unable to use the device safely due to their physical, sensory or mental abilities or their inexperience or lack of knowledge should not use this device without supervision or instruction from a responsible person. Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the device.

NOTE!

As additional protection, the installation of a residual current device (RCD) with a rated trip current of no more than 30 mA in the bathroom circuit is recommended. Ask your installer for advice.

Directions for use:

▷ Make sure your hands are completely dry before connecting the device to the mains.

1. Operate the on/off switch by pressing and holding the button.
2. Preset is cold air with room temperature and blower level 1.

3. Now set the desired temperature.

4. Indications in the LCD display: The display shows which settings you are using.

a) Set air speed

060 Fast Medium Gentle

b) Set temperature

060° High ---- 120° Medium ---- 090° Low ---- 060° Cool ---- Room temperature

Cold air function: Press the COOL SHOT button (in fig. to 5.) and release the button to activate it. When the cold air function is active, the hairdryer blows cold air regardless of the temperature setting. To deactivate this function, press the COOL SHOT button and release the button.

▷ If the air inlet is blocked by clothes, towels, cotton, dust, etc., which may cover the air inlet, the fan will turn off to prevent malfunction or damage due to overheating. When the unit stops, the white light dot on the display will blink. You can stop this protection by unplugging the power cord and turning the unit back on.

Warning light

Button lock/locking function:

This is used to lock the buttons in the hairdryer application during an operating process.

Locking mode: If the buttons are not pressed for 3 seconds, they are locked. Temperature and blower settings cannot be adjusted accidentally.

Unlock mode: By double-clicking the ON/OFF button (locking symbol), the buttons are unlocked again and the temperature and fan can be adjusted.the display flashes in unlock mode.

CLEANING, CARE & STORAGE

▷ Switch off the device and disconnect it from the power supply before maintenance. Clean only when cooled down!

Regular filter cleaning:

▷ ATTENTION: The high performance motor is protected by the air inlet filter. It is therefore essential to clean the filter after 3 days in intensive salon use. Only in this way the motor is protected, a correct function of the device is maintained and a long service life can be guaranteed. The accumulation of dirt due to improper cleaning of the filter can cause damage to the motor!

After a usage time of 20 h, the 888 lights up in the display. This indicates that the filter must be cleaned immediately.

automatic cleaning function:

This hair dryer has an automatic cleaning function for cleaning the internal components.

1. turn off the hair dryer.
2. press and hold the speed button for 3 seconds.

The motor then switches the fan in the reverse direction for 7 seconds.

▷ This function is only active once when the power is on. If you want to activate this function again, please disconnect the power cable and plug it in again. Now you can perform cleaning again.

Manual filter cleaning

▷ Switch off the hair dryer and make sure that you have disconnected your device from the mains before cleaning the filter.

1. hold the handle and remove the magnetic filter and the external filter.

1. Use the supplied cleaning brush to remove dirt from the filter and filter mesh.

2. Then replace the filter and the external filter.

▷ CAUTION: Do not use water for cleaning.
▷ CAUTION: Do not press too hard on the filter screen, it may become deformed or damaged.

Storage

Make sure that the device is protected from dust and other environmental influences.

SPARE PARTS

Only use original spare parts that can be ordered from the EFALOCK service partner.

DISPOSAL

This device is marked in accordance with the Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) Directive 2012/19/EU. At the end of its service life, this electrical device must not be disposed of in the residual waste garbage can, but must be handed in at a collection point for the recycling of electronic devices. This also applies to electrical equipment that was last used in a non-private sector, but e.g. in commerce or trade. If the acceptance of non-privately used electrical equipment has been excluded by the responsible local public disposal facilities, their waste advice center will provide information on environmentally sound disposal.

The symbol on the product, the operating instructions or the packaging indicates this. The materials are recyclable according to their marking. Reuse, recycling or other forms of recovery of old equipment make an important contribution to protecting the environment.
