Read these instructions thoroughly before using the device. Keep this instruction manual for future reference or new users.
- This symbol means “caution, hot surface.” The accessible surfaces of the appliance may reach high temperatures during operation. Be careful not to burn yourself.
- The appliance is not intended to be operated by means of an external timer or separate remote-control system.
- Check the power cable regularly for visible damage. If the cable is damaged, it must be repaired by the official Cecotec Technical Support Service to avoid any type of danger.
- This appliance can be used by children aged 8 years and above and people with reduced physical, sensory, or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved. Children must not play with the appliance.
Cleaning and user maintenance should not be carried out by children unless they are over 8 years old and are under supervision.
- Keep this appliance and its power cable out of reach of children under the age of 8.
- Supervise children to prevent them from playing with the appliance. Close supervision is necessary if the appliance is used by or near children.
- This device is designed for domestic use only and is not intended for bars, restaurants, farmhouses, hotels, motels, and offices.
- Place the appliance on a dry, stable, heat-resistant surface. Position the appliance in such a way to avoid spillage of hot liquids. Be especially careful with the handle.
- Do not immerse the cable, plug, or any other non-removable part of the device in water or any other liquid or expose electrical connections to water. Make sure your hands are dry before handling the plug or switching on the device.
- Make sure that the mains voltage matches the voltage stated on the appliance marking and that the wall outlet is earthed.
- The appliance will be very hot during and immediately after operation. Use gloves or other convenient protective equipment to avoid burns and injuries.
- Use a heat-resistant base when using the appliance on surfaces sensitive to high temperatures.
- Do not twist, bend, pull, or damage the power cable. Protect it from sharp edges and heat sources. Do not allow the cable to touch hot surfaces. Do not let the cable hang over the edge of the working surface or worktop.
- Do not use the appliance outdoors, near a gas or electric hob, in heated ovens, or near open flames.
- Do not operate the appliance after it has been dropped or if it malfunctions.
- Extreme caution must be taken when moving the appliance.
- Always turn off and disconnect the appliance from the power supply when not in use or if it is not going to be used for a long period of time and before cleaning it. Pull from the plug, not the cable, to disconnect it from the outlet.

2. BEFORE USE
- This appliance is packaged in a way as to protect it during transport. Take the appliance out of its box and remove all packaging materials. You can keep the original box and other packaging elements in a safe place. This will help you prevent damage to the appliance when transporting it in the future. In case the original packaging is disposed of, make sure all packaging materials are recycled accordingly.
- Make sure all parts and components are included and in good conditions. If there is any piece missing or in bad conditions, contact the official Cecotec Technical Support Service immediately.
- Before using the sandwich maker for the first time, open it and clean the plates thoroughly by wiping them with a damp sponge. Use kitchen paper to dry them. For better results, spray a little oil (or plant butter) on the plates.
- WARNING: always wear heat resistant gloves or mittens when handling this appliance.

3. OPERATION
- Always preheat the appliance before use. Plug the power cable into an AC outlet.
- The indicator light will light up when the mains plug is connected to the mains. It will stay on during preheating, and then, when the sandwich maker has reached the right temperature, it will switch off.
WARNING: always preheat the appliance before use.

Lightly brush both plates with a little vegetable oil and close the sandwich maker.

It will start preheating. After 3 minutes, when the sandwich maker is preheated and ready to use, the indicator light will switch off.

Prepare the sandwiches, placing the desired ingredients inside. Lift the closing clasp and open the sandwich maker. Place the sandwiches on the bottom plate.
CAUTION: the plates are hot, handle with care.

Close the sandwich maker to ensure that the sandwich is correctly placed. Close the closing clasp. The sandwich will take between 3 and 6 minutes to be ready. The indicator light will turn on and off since the thermostat keeps the sandwich maker at the right temperature.

Remove the sandwich from the bottom plate using a plastic or wooden spatula. Be careful, the sandwich is hot. Let it cool down for a few minutes before eating.

When you have finished using the sandwich maker, disconnect it from the mains and let it cool down.
4. CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
- Before cleaning the sandwich maker, unplug it from the mains and wait for it to cool down.
- It is not necessary to disassemble the sandwich maker for cleaning. Wipe dry with kitchen paper to absorb excess oil. Remove crumbs from the slots and with a damp cloth and mild soap.
- Never immerse the sandwich maker in water. Avoid using utensils that may scratch the non-stick surface.
- Do not use any cleaning agents to clean the plates.
- To clean the handle and the outside of the sandwich maker, use a damp cloth with mild soap.
- If you find it difficult to remove food residues stuck to the plate, pour a little cooking oil on them to soften them and wipe the plate after 5 minutes.

This appliance requires little maintenance. It does not contain any user-serviceable parts. Do not attempt to repair it by yourself. Contact the official Cecotec Technical Support Service if you think the sandwich maker needs repair.
