The fan is designed exclusively for ventilating dry rooms.

Only use the fan as described in this operating manual.

1. Remove the packaging and ensure that the device is not damaged. If in doubt, do not use the device and contact the service center or your dealer.

2. Keep children away from packaging materials. If swallowed, there is a risk of suffocation!

3. If the power cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer or an authorized service center to avoid any possible risks.

4. Before connecting to the mains, you must check that the type of current and mains voltage correspond to the information on the device type label.

5. The electrical outlet you use to connect the device must not be defective or loose and must be suitable for the required current load and, above all, reliably grounded.

Description of the device

Assembly

Open the packaging and remove all parts. Please check that the housing is in perfect condition and that there are no visible defects.

1. First remove the screw at the bottom of the short connecting rod.
2. Insert the short connecting rod into the base and secure it with the screw.
3. Then connect the short connecting rod, the long connecting rod, and the fan head as shown in the illustration.

Note: When disassembling and reassembling, only the long and short connecting rods may be screwed together. Never pull on the fan head, as this may damage the swivel mechanism.

Remote control

Preparing the remote control – inserting or replacing the battery

Please note the following instructions:

Initial use:

To use the remote control for the first time, please remove the plastic cover from the battery compartment on the back of the remote control.

Pull out the battery holder on the back of the remote control and remove the old battery from the holder:

Now insert a new CR2025 battery, paying attention to the polarity markings (+/-) on the battery and the battery holder.

Then push the battery holder back into the remote control.

Note: If you do not use the remote control for a long period of time (4 weeks or longer), remove the batteries from the remote control.

Correct use of the remote control

Point the remote control directly at the front of the device and make sure there are no obstacles between the remote control and the device.

NOTE: Please handle the remote control with care. Do not expose it to direct

sunlight and keep it away from heat sources.

Function description

Plug the power cord into the power outlet—the device is now in standby mode.

ON/OFF button

Press this button to turn on the fan. The fan will start at level 6 (F6). "F6" will appear on the display.

Press the button again to turn off the fan.

Speed button

Once the fan is switched on, you can adjust the wind speed in the order F1–F8 by repeatedly pressing this button.

The respective level is shown on the display.

Oscillation button (up/down):

After the fan has been switched on, press this button repeatedly to activate or stop the vertical oscillation (air circulation up and down).

Oscillation button (left/right):

After the fan has been switched on, press this button repeatedly to activate or stop the horizontal oscillation (air circulation to the left and right).

Timer

When the fan is running, you can use this button to set a switch-off time.

Each press of the button increases the running time by 1 hour up to a maximum of 12 hours.

The fan switches off automatically after the set time has elapsed.

Night light

Care and cleaning

• Dust the air vents: Carefully clean the inlet and outlet vents with a soft brush or dust cloth. Do not insert any hard objects.
• Prolonged non-use: Store the device in a dry, dust-free place and, if possible, cover it with a protective cover to prevent dust from entering.
• Avoid at all costs: Do not use aggressive, abrasive, or solvent-based cleaning agents; do not rinse the device with water, do not immerse it, and do not use steam or high-pressure cleaners.
• No internal cleaning: Do not open the device; maintenance work inside the device may only be carried out by authorized service personnel.

WARRANTY

With this quality product from BE COOL, you have made a decision in favor of innovation, durability, and reliability.

We provide a 2-year warranty for this BE COOL device, valid in Austria from the date of purchase! If, contrary to expectations, your device requires servicing during this period, we hereby guarantee free repair (spare parts and labor) or (at the discretion of Schuss) replacement of the product. If neither repair nor replacement is possible for economic reasons, we reserve the right to issue a credit note for the current value.

In the case of air conditioners, please contact the customer hotline (see sticker on the device or cover page of the instruction manual) as a first step. For fans, please contact your specialist dealer or us directly. Please note that repair work not carried out by an authorized repair shop in Austria will immediately void this warranty.

This warranty does not cover:

• We do not accept liability for consequential damage resulting from improper use.
• Repair or replacement of parts due to normal wear and tear.
• Damage due to failure to follow the operating instructions.
• Devices that are used commercially, even if only partially.
• Devices that have been mechanically damaged by external influences (falls, impacts, breakage, improper use, etc.) as well as signs of wear and tear of an aesthetic nature.
• Devices that have been handled improperly
• Devices that have not been opened by our authorized service workshop.
- Damage caused by improperly closed condensation drain valves on air conditioning units or incorrectly installed water containers.
• Unmet consumer expectations.
• Damage caused by force majeure, water, lightning, or power surges.
• Devices on which the type designation and/or serial number has been changed, deleted, made illegible, or removed.
• Services outside our authorized repair shops, transport costs to an authorized repair shop or to us and back, and the associated risks.

We expressly point out that within the warranty period, a flat fee of €60 (indexed based on CPI 2010, June 2015) will be charged in the event of operating errors or if no fault is found.

The provision of a warranty service (repair or replacement of the device) does not extend the absolute warranty period of 2 years from the date of purchase.

The 2-year warranty is only valid upon presentation of the proof of purchase (must include the name and address of the dealer and the complete device description) and the corresponding warranty certificate, on which the device type and serial number (visible on the box and on the back or bottom of the device) must be noted! Without presentation of the warranty certificate, only the statutory warranty applies!

We expressly point out that the statutory warranty rights are not affected by this warranty and remain in full force and effect.

Schuss Home Electronic GmbH and its vicarious agents shall only be liable for damages in cases of gross negligence or intent. In any case, liability for lost profits, expected but unrealized savings, consequential damages, and damages arising from third-party claims is excluded. Damage to or for recorded data is always excluded from the liability for damages.
