Read these instructions thoroughly before using the appliance. Keep this instruction manual for future reference or new users. The appliance can be used by children from 3 years old under supervision.
- The appliance can be used by children aged 8 years and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory, or mental capabilities or lack of experience
and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning the safe use of the appliance and understand the hazards involved. Children must not play with the appliance. Cleaning and user maintenance should not be carried out by unsupervised children.
- The appliance must be powered at a low safety voltage as stated on the marking.
- Check the power cable regularly for
visible damage. If the power cord is damaged, it must be replaced with a special cord or set to be supplied by the official Cecotec Technical Support Service or the corresponding after-sales service to avoid any danger.
WARNING: keep the appliance dry.
- This appliance is designed for domestic use only and is not intended for bars, restaurants, farmhouses, hotels, motels, and offices.
- Ensure that the mains voltage matches the voltage specified on the appliance rating label and that the plug is earthed.
- Do not immerse the cord, plug, or any non-removable part of the appliance in water or any other liquid or expose electrical connections to water. Make sure your hands are dry before handling the plug or switching on the appliance.

Keep all packaging materials away from children. Risk of suffocation.

This appliance must be checked frequently for signs of wear or damage. If such signs are present, or if the appliance has been used improperly, contact the official Cecotec Technical Support Service. Do not try to repair the appliance by yourself.

Battery instructions

This appliance contains an irreplaceable battery.

This appliance includes a Li-ion battery. Do not incinerate or expose it to high temperatures, as it may explode.
- WARNING: to recharge the battery, use only the power cord supplied with the appliance.
Leaks from the battery or cells can occur under extreme conditions. Do not touch any liquid that leaks from the battery. If the liquid gets into contact with skin,
wash immediately with soap and water. If the liquid gets into the eyes, wash them immediately with clean water for a minimum of 10 minutes and seek medical attention. Wear gloves to handle the battery and dispose of it immediately in accordance with local regulations.
- Keep batteries out of the reach of children when there is a risk of ingestion.
- Battery ingestion can cause burns, soft
tissue perforation, and death. It can cause severe burns within two hours of the ingestion.
- In case of battery ingestion, please seek medical help immediately.

2. BEFORE USE
- This appliance is packaged in a way as to protect it during transport. Take the appliance out of its box and remove all packaging materials. You can keep the original box and other packaging elements in a safe place. This will help you prevent damage to the appliance when transporting it in the future.

In case the original packaging is disposed of, make sure all packaging materials are recycled accordingly.
- Make sure all parts and components are included and in good conditions. If there is any piece missing or in bad conditions, contact the official Cecotec Technical Support Service immediately.

3. OPERATION
Charging
Make sure the appliance is switched off.
- Connect the charging cable to the appliance and then to a compatible power adapter.
- Charge the appliance to full power before using the appliance

for the first time or after a long period of inactivity.
- The battery takes approximately 2 hours to charge to 100% and can last up to approximately 90 minutes*.
- Battery life may be reduced depending on usage and the type of hair being cut.
- The charge indicator will light up red indicating that the appliance is charging. Once fully charged, the indicator will light up green.
WARNING:
Charging or using the appliance at temperatures below 5^ or above 35^ adversely affects the lifespan of the battery.
- When the appliance is fully charged, unplug it from the mains socket.
Optimising battery life
- After charging the appliance for the first time, do not recharge between sessions. Continue to use it until the battery is completely empty. Continuous recharging of the appliance will reduce the life of the battery.
- Do not charge the appliance for more than 3 hours.
- Do not keep the cable plugged in permanently.
- Fully discharge the battery twice a year by letting the appliance run until it turns off.

- If the appliance has not been used for a long time, it must be fully recharged.
- If the appliance is subjected to a major change in temperature, pressure or humidity, allow the appliance to acclimatise for 30 minutes before use.
Guide comb Trimming (1 mm, 2 mm, 3 mm, 4 mm)
- The appliance can be used to trim sideburns, neck, beard and hairlines.
- Make sure that the appliance is switched off.

Place the guide comb over the blade and press it into the appliance. Fig. 2

When using the appliance, you can insert the protective cover, which prevents long hair from tangling. Fig. 3
- If you are trimming for the first time, start by using the guide comb with the maximum trimming length setting (4 mm) to avoid accidentally trimming hairs that are too short. As you become familiar with the guide combs, change them by 3 mm, 2 mm and 1 mm until you reach the desired cutting length.
- Switch on the appliance.
- For the most effective trimming, move the appliance against the direction of hair growth. Make sure that the surface of the guide comb always remains in contact with the skin.

WARNING: as not all hairs grow in the same direction, you may need to use different trimming positions (upwards, downwards or crosswise).
3. If cut hairs have accumulated on the guide comb, switch off the appliance, remove the guide comb and clean the hair from the comb. Once clean, put the guide comb back on and continue cutting.
Trimming the beard
-
Make sure the guide comb is put back into the appliance and use the 1mm or 2mm setting for a "stubble" look.

When you have finished using the appliance, switch it off by pressing the on/off button. Then remove the guide comb (Fig. 4) and clean the hairs accumulated in the appliance with the help of the cleaning brush.
Profiling
- For close trimming of hair or beard, use the appliance without a guide comb.
- Remove the guide comb for:
Sideburns trimming (Fig. 5). - Neck trimming (Fig. 6).
- Beard trimming (Fig. 7).

- Marking the hairlines (Fig. 8).
- Comb the hair with a fine-tooth comb before shaping.
- Switch on the appliance by pressing the on/off button.
- Pass the appliance over the area to be contoured. Do not move the appliance too fast. Make smooth and gentle movements. Do not press the blade excessively against the skin as this may cause injury.
- When you have finished, switch off the appliance by pressing the on/off button again and clean it.
4. CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
After each use
- Turn off the appliance.
- Remove the guide comb from the blade and clean the hairs (Fig. 9). To do this, shake out the guide comb or use the cleaning brush.
- Clean the blade with the brush to remove any hair (Fig. 10). It is recommended to clean the blade thoroughly every 6 months.
- Lubricate the blades periodically.

Cleaning precautions
- Only the guide comb and protective cover can be removed from the appliance for cleaning.
- Cleaning should only be carried out with a soft brush, such as the one supplied with the appliance.
- Use only the supplied light oil or sewing machine oil on the blade.
- Do not use abrasive cleaning agents, scouring pads or aggressive liquids such as alcohol, petrol or acetone to clean the trimmer and accessories.
- Do not immerse the blade or any other part of the appliance in water.
- Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the housing of the appliance.
Storage
- Make sure that the appliance is switched off. Remove the power cord from the outlet and the appliance before storing it in a safe, dry place where it cannot be crushed, knocked or damaged.
- Do not wrap the cord around the appliance when storing it.
- Store the cord in a safe place where it cannot be cut or damaged.
- Do not place or store the appliance where it can fall or be pulled into a bathtub or sink, water or other liquid.
Always store the appliance and the cord in an area free of moisture. Do not store at temperatures above 60^ .
