Explanation of the symbols used (see Fig. 7)

  1. Danger! - To reduce the risk of injury, read the operating instructions.
  2. Dispose of the battery properly
  3. For use in dry rooms only.
  4. Protection class II
  5. Store the batteries only in dry rooms with an ambient temperature of +10^ - +40^ . Only store batteries when they are charged (at least 40% charged).

This equipment can be used by children of 8 years and older and by people with limited physical, sensory or mental capacities or those with no experience and knowledge if they are supervised or have received instruction in how to use the equipment safely and understand the dangers which result from such use. Children are not allowed to play with the equipment. Unless supervised, children are not allowed to clean the equipment and carry out user-level maintenance work.

2.2 Items supplied

Please check that the article is complete as specified in the scope of delivery. If parts are missing, please contact our service center or the sales outlet where you made your purchase at the latest within 5 working days after purchasing the product and upon presentation of a valid bill of purchase. Also, refer to the warranty table in the service information at the end of the operating instructions.

  • Open the packaging and take out the equipment with care.
  • Remove the packaging material and any packaging and/or transportation braces (if available).
  • Check to see if all items are supplied.
  • Inspect the equipment and accessories for transport damage.
  • If possible, please keep the packaging until the end of the guarantee period.

The equipment and packaging material are not toys. Do not let children play with plastic bags, foils or small parts. There is a danger of swallowing or suffocating!

3. Proper use

The cordless energy station is designed for use in combination with a PXC battery to operate 230 V/AC equipment and DC voltage equipment. The technical data and operating instructions of the device you wish to connect must be observed. The equipment is to be used only for its prescribed purpose. Any other use is deemed to be a case of misuse. The user / operator and not the

manufacturer will be liable for any damage or injuries of any kind caused as a result of this.

Please note that our equipment has not been designed for use in commercial, trade or industrial applications. Our warranty will be voided if the machine is used in commercial, trade or industrial businesses or for equivalent purposes.

4. Technical data

Power supply: 18 V DC AC Output: 220-240V \~ 50Hz – max. 150W USB-A Output: 5V DC – max. 2A / 10W USB-C PD Output: 5V DC, 9V DC, 12V DC, 15V DC, 20V DC – max. 3A / 60W LED light max.: 2.2W

Important!

The equipment is supplied without batteries and without a charger and is allowed to be used only with the lithium-ion batteries of the Power X-Change series!

The lithium-ion batteries of the Power X-Change series are allowed to be charged only with the Power X charger.

5. Before use

5.1 Fitting the battery (Fig. 3)

Push the battery fully into the battery mount until it latches into place. To remove the battery, press the pushlock button (C) and pull the battery out of the battery mount.

5.2 Charging the Li battery (Fig. 3-4)

  1. Take the battery pack out of the equipment. Do this by pressing the pushlock button.
  2. Check that your mains voltage is the same as that marked on the rating plate of the battery charger. Insert the power plug of the charger into the socket outlet. The green LED will then begin to blink.
  3. Insert the battery pack into the charger.

In section 10. „Charger indicator“ you will find a table with an explanation of the LED indicator on the charger.

If the battery pack fails to charge, check:
- whether there is voltage at the socket outlet - whether there is good contact at the charging contacts

If the battery pack still fails to charge, send

• the charging unit
• and the battery pack
to our customer service center.

To ensure that items are properly packaged and delivered when you send them to us, please contact our customer service or the point of sale at which the equipment was purchased.

When shipping or disposing of batteries and cordless tools, always ensure that they are packed individually in plastic bags to prevent short circuits and fi res.

To ensure that the battery pack provides long service, you should take care to recharge it promptly. You must recharge the battery pack when you notice that the performance of the device drops. Never allow the battery pack to become fully discharged. This will cause it to develop a defect.

5.3 Battery capacity indicator (Fig. 5)

Press the button for the battery capacity indicator (A). The battery capacity indicator (B) shows the charge status of the battery using 3 LEDs.

All 3 LEDs are lit:

The battery is fully charged.

2 or 1 LED(s) are lit:

The battery has an adequate remaining charge.

1 LED fl ashes:

The battery is empty, recharge the battery.

The battery temperature is too low. Remove the battery from the equipment, keep it at room temperature for one day. If the fault reoccurs, this means that the rechargeable battery has undergone exhaustive discharge and is defective. Remove the battery from the equipment. Never use or charge a defective battery.

6. Operation

6.1 LED light (Fig. 6)

Do not look directly at the LED light (Item 3).

Switching on:

Press the LED light button (Item 4).

Switching off :

Press the LED light button (Item 4).

Dimming the LED light:

Hold the LED light button (Item 4) down until the LED light becomes brighter or dimmer. Let go of the LED light switch when you have reached the desired brightness.

6.2 Outlets (Fig. 2)

Note: The available voltage/power at each outlet (230V / USB) can be found in the Technical Data (see section 4 / rating plate on the device). Several outlets may be used simultaneously as long as the total available output is not exceeded. The 230V socket always takes precedence over the others. When the power consumption level is high, the USB outlets will switch off. Please also observe the safety information and operating instructions of the connected devices.

Switching on:

Press the On/Off switch (Fig. 6 / Item 5).

Switching off :

Press the On/Off switch (Fig. 6 / Item 5) again.

LED indicators (Fig. 6)

a) Equipment switched on – green LED (Item 5a) lights up
b) Overheating protection activated – green LED (Item 5a) off / red LED (Item 5b) flashes 10x with a 2-second pause per cycle
c) Error in 230 V socket – green LED (Item 5a) off / red LED (Item 5b) flashes 7x with a 2-second pause per cycle
d) Overload display – green LED (Item 5a) off / red LED (Item 5b) fl ashes 5x with a 2-second pause per cycle
e) Short-circuit protection activated – green LED (Item 5a) off / red LED (Item 5b) flashes 3x with a 2-second pause per cycle
f) Overvoltage / undervoltage alarm - red LED (Item 5b) lights up

6.3 Fan

A fan will switch on to cool the device when the temperature is high or when power is consumed. As soon as the device cools down or the power consumption drops below a certain level, the fan switches back off.

7. Cleaning, maintenance and ordering of spare parts

Danger!

Remove the battery before cleaning.

7.1 Cleaning

  • Keep protective devices, air vents and motor housing as free of dust and dirt as possible. Wipe the device with a clean cloth or blow it out with compressed air at low pressure.
    • We recommend that you clean the device immediately after each use.
  • Clean the device regularly with a damp cloth. Do not use cleaning agents or solvents; these could attack the plastic parts of the device. Make sure that no water can get into the device. The ingress of water into an electrical device increases the risk of electric shock.

7.2 Maintenance

There are no parts inside the equipment which require additional maintenance.

8. Disposal and recycling

The equipment is supplied in packaging to prevent it from being damaged in transit. The raw materials in this packaging can be reused or recycled. The equipment and its accessories are made of various types of material, such as metal and plastic. Never place defective equipment in your household refuse. The equipment should be taken to a suitable collection center for proper disposal. If you do not know the whereabouts of such a collection point, you should ask in your local council offices.

9. Storage

Store the equipment and accessories in a dark and dry place at above freezing temperature. The ideal storage temperature is between 5 and 30 °C. Store the electric tool in its original packaging.

Disposal

Power tools, rechargeable batteries, accessories and packaging should be sorted for environmental-friendly recycling.

Do not dispose of power tools and batteries/re-chargeable batteries into household waste!

Only for EU countries:

According to the Directive 2012/19/EU on waste electrical and electronic equipment and its transposition into national law, power tools that are no longer usable, and, according to the Directive 2006/66/EC, defective or drained batteries must be collected separately and disposed of in an environmentally correct manner.

If disposed incorrectly, waste electrical and electronic equipment may have harmful effects on the environment and human health, due to the potential presence of hazardous substances.

Only for United Kingdom:

According to The Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment Regulations 2013 (SI 2013/3113) (as amended) and the Waste Batteries and Accumulators Regulations 2009 (SI 2009/890) (as amended), products that are no longer usable must be collected separately and disposed of in an environmentally friendly manner.
