How do I install the fixture on an eave?

First, attach the mounting strap to the outlet box with appropriate screws, orienting the word 'FRONT' forward. Pass the fixture wires through the gasket, then attach the gasket to the back plate. Connect the wires (black to hot, white to neutral) using the provided connectors. Secure the back plate to the strap, then install the bulbs and caulk around the plate.

How do I activate low intensity mode?

Turn on the wall switch, then turn it off and on twice within 3 seconds. The light will switch to low intensity mode, about 30% of maximum brightness. To return to 100%, turn off the switch for at least 60 seconds, then turn it on.

Why doesn't my light work after installation?

Check that the wall switch and circuit breaker are on. Ensure wiring is correct: black fixture wire to hot (black) wire, and white to neutral (white). Also check that the bulbs are screwed in properly.

Is it necessary to caulk around the fixture?

Yes, it is mandatory to completely caulk where the back plate meets the wall surface with a silicone caulking compound. This prevents water from seeping into the outlet box, avoiding short circuits or electrical shock.

What is the operating temperature range?

The fixture can operate in a temperature range of -25 °C to 45 °C (-13 °F to 113 °F). Use outside of this range may damage the unit.

Can I install this fixture myself or should I hire an electrician?

Tools Needed:

(1) Phillips-head Screwdriver

1. Phillips-head screwdriver for attaching mounting screws to mounting strap, mounting bracket and fixture to mounting bracket.

2. This fixture requires a 120 VAC, 60 Hz power source.

Features:

1. Switch Control: turns light ON and OFF by flicking the wall switch.
2. Adjust between full brightness and low-level brightness by toggling the wall switch.

Note: Fixture can be wall mounted or eave mounted.

Installation Steps

Turn off the power at fuse or circuit box.

1. Install the mounting strap to the outlet box with the stamped word "FRONT" facing away from the outlet box, using two mounting screws that best fit the outlet box. Back plate should sit flush against wall surface when secured. (Choose one matching pair of suitable mounting screws from the 3 pairs provided)
2. Fixture wires thread through gasket, then attach the gasket into back plate.
3. Pull out the source wires from the outlet box. Make wire connections using wire connector as follows: ---Connect the black wire from the fixture to the "hot" wire from the power source. (black) ---Connect the white wire from the fixture to the neutral wire from the power source. (white) Carefully tuck the wires back into the outlet box.
4. Attach the back plate of the light fixture to the mounting strap, secure it with the fixture mounting screw.
5. Push the decorative cover firmly into the fixture mounting screw hole on the light.
6. Install bulbs (not included). See relamping label at socket area or packaging for maximum allowed wattage.
7. With silicone caulking compound, caulk completely around where the back plate meets the wall surface. CAUTION: Be sure to caulk completely where the back plate meets the wall surface to prevent water from seeping into the outlet box.

Turn on the power at fuse or circuit box.

Adjusting the Light Head:

1. Gently grasp the light heads and tilt them left or right to adjust the light coverage area. (See Fig. 1)
2. Keep the light heads (B) 30° below horizontal to avoid water damage and electrical shock.

Functions and Operations

1. Wall switch control

Turn on the wall switch on the light.

1. Low-level Mode

Turn the wall switch "OFF", and turn it "ON" twice within 3 seconds.

The light enters low-level at 30% of full brightness.

To revert back to Default 100% full brightness, turn the wall switch "OFF" and then turn it "ON" after 60 seconds.

Vaxcel warrants all of our products against defects in workmanship and finishes for one year following the date of shipment.

Exclusions: This warranty does not include the failure of products from extreme acts of nature; environmental conditions not suited for the products intended use; operation in temperatures outside of the range specified in the instruction manual; usage with improper power supply, power surges or dips. For coastal locations, some corrosion is considered normal for the environment.

Vaxcel reserves the right to repair, replace or issue a credit for any properly installed product, provided it is returned per RMA instruction. This warranty is limited to the cost of the product only and does not extend to transportation, installation or replacement costs.
