Frequently Asked Questions - Quuby Deryan

From what age can I use the high chair?

The high chair can be used as soon as the child can sit without assistance, usually from 6 months, until 3 years or 15 kg.

What are the different use modes?

The Quuby chair offers 5 modes: high chair (6-36 months, 15 kg max), normal chair (36 months+, 30 kg), low chair (12 months+, 30 kg), low chair with table (12 months+, 30 kg), and stool (36 months+, 70 kg).

How to assemble the high chair?

Assembly must be done by an adult. Follow the illustrations in the manual: slide the seats onto each other until you hear a click, then pull to check the fastening. Attach the footrest and tray in the same way.

How to properly secure my child?

Always use the 5-point harness. Thread the shoulder straps, fasten the left and right buckles to the crotch strap buckle until it clicks. Adjust the tension for a snug fit.

How to clean the high chair?

Clean with a damp cloth. For stubborn stains, use a diluted neutral detergent. Do not use gasoline, solvents, or harsh detergents. The cushion can be removed and washed.

Can I use the high chair without the tray?

Yes, but the tray is not a restraint device. The child must always be fastened with the harness even if the tray is removed.

What are the important safety instructions?

Never leave the child unattended. Always use the harness. Place the chair on a flat surface, away from stairs, windows, and heat sources. Do not lift the chair with the child seated.

How to store the high chair when not in use?

Disassemble the parts in reverse order of assembly. Place the footrest in the lower seat, then the middle seat, the upper seat, the backrest, and finally the tray in front. Keep parts out of reach of children.

What to do if a part is broken or missing?

Do not use the chair. Contact your local retailer to obtain original spare parts. Do not modify the product.

Can I use the high chair as a booster seat?

No, do not place the upper seat on a normal chair as a booster seat. It could fall and injure the child.

Guidelines to use

This product can be used in 5 modes. Please choose suitable using mode according to your and your child's needs.

WARNING

• The high chair is intended for children able to sit up unaided and up to 3 years or a maximum weight of 15kg.
• Keep all components not in use out of the reach of children.

WARNING

• Do not use the product until the child can sit up unaided.
• Keep plastic covering away from children to avoid suffocation. Break plastic covering first.
• The assembly should be performed by adults only. Keep out of the reach of children.
• Do not use the product unless all components are correctly fitted and adjusted.

FALL HAZARD: Children have suffered severe head injuries including skull fractures when falling from high chairs. Falls can happen suddenly if child is not restrained properly.

• Always use restraints, and adjust to fit snugly.
• The child should be secured in the high chair at all times by the restraining system.
• The tray is not designed to hold the child in the chair.
• Stay near and watch child during use. Never leave the child unattended. (Fig.1)
• Be aware of the risk of open fires and other sources of strong heat in the vicinity of the product.
• Do not use the product if any part is broken, torn or missing.

- Do not let a child play close to the high chair. Falling hazard: Prevent your child from climbing on the product. (Fig.2)

- Do not let a child stand on the high chair or tray. (Fig.3)

- Be sure to use this high chair indoors and always on a flat, stable and non-slippery surface.

- Always keep this high chair away from steps, stairs, windows and walls.

- Do not apply heavy load to the high chair or tray. It may cause the high chair to tip over.

- Do not lift or move the high chair while the child is sitting in it.

- Always help the child to get on the chair and get off the chair when used as a normal chair. (Fig.4)

- Do not put the seat upper on a normal chair and use it as a booster seat, or it may fall off from the chair and injure the baby. (Fig.5)

- Use original parts and accessories provided by the manufacturer only. Do not make any modification to the product.

- Be aware of the risk of tilting when your child can push its feet against a table or any other structure. (Fig.6)

- Do not let another child shake and stand on the high chair while a child is seated.

ASSEMBLING QUUBY

WARNING

• Make sure that you have all the parts needed before assembling.
• The assembly should be performed by adults only.
• Keep the parts and accessories which are not required to use temporarily out of reach of the children.

Refer to the illustrations provided at the beginning of this instruction manual.

Assemble the seats / footrest

1. Slide the seat middle on top of the seat lower from the front backward, leaving a distance of a few centimeters. Make sure the protruded parts on the seat lower can't be seen. (Fig.1)
2. Slide the footrest in the seat middle from the bottom up until a "click" sound is heard, then slide the seat middle backward until a "click" sound is heard. (Fig.2)
3. Make sure the 2 checking lines on both sides of the seat middle match with the 2 checking lines on both side of the seat lower. (Fig.3)
4. Pull the seat middle back and forth to make sure it is securely fastened.
5. Slide the seat upper on top of the seat middle from the front backward until a "click" sound is heard. (Fig.4)
6. Make sure the 2 checking lines on both sides of the seat upper match with the 2 checking lines on both side of the seat middle. (Fig.3)
7. Pull the seat upper back and forth to make sure it is securely fastened.

WARNING

- If the seats can't be fastened securely, do not use. Contact the local distributor.

Attaching the tray

1. Slide the tray over the safety bar from the front backward until a "click" sound is heard. (Fig.5)
2. Pull the tray back and forth to make sure it is securely fastened.

WARNING

- Please be careful when you assemble the tray with a child seated in the chair. The child's fingers may be pinched by the moving tray and the safety bar.

The above assembly method is based on high chair mode. When the product is used in other modes, please also refer to this method. Please refer to below to assemble the backrest.

Assemble the backrest to the seat middle

1. Slide the backrest on top of the seat middle from the front, let protruded part of the backrest match with the groove in the seat middle, push backward until a "click" sound is heard. (Fig. 6)
2. Make sure the 2 checking lines on both sides of the backrest match with the 2 checking lines on both side of the seat middle. (Fig.3)
3. Pull the backrest back and forth to make sure it is securely fastened.

Assemble the seat cushion (The seat cushion has been installed on the product already.)

1. Release the seat belt.
2. Put the seat cushion onto the seat.
3. The shoulder belt pass through the shoulder belt outlet on the seat cushion from backside to front.

WARNING

The child should be secured in the high chair at all times by the restraining system.

1. Assemble the left and right shoulder belt buckles to the left and right waist belt buckles. (Fig.7)

2. Fasten the left and right waist belt buckles into the crotch belt buckle until a "click" sound is heard. (Fig.8)

3. Adjust the ladder to adjust the fitness of the seat belt. Be sure to secure the seat belt and let the seat belt fit the child snugly. (Fig.9)

Release the seat belt

1. Press on the buckle button to release the waist belt buckles.

DISASSEMBLE QUUBY

Detaching the tray

1. While press the two hooks on both sides of the safety bar inward, push the tray forward for a few centimeters. (Fig.10)
2. Hold the tray from front side and pull it forward to release it from the safety bar.

Removing the seat upper

1. While press the two hooks on both sides of the seat upper inward, pull it forward to release it from the seat middle. (Fig.11)

Removing the footrest and the seat middle

1. While press the two hooks on both sides of the seat middle inward, pull it forward for a few centimeters. (Fig. 12)
2. Press the foot rest down from center surface and release it from the seat middle. (Fig.13)
3. Pull out the seat middle completely from the seat lower.

The above disassembly method is based on high chair mode.

Removing the backrest

1. While press the hook on one side of the backrest inward hard, pull it forward for unlock. (Fig. 14)
2. Repeat above process for another side.
3. Hold both sides of the backrest, pull it out.

Removing the seat cushion

1. Release the seat belt.
2. Take off the shoulder belt from the seat cushion.
3. Remove the seat cushion.

Storage

1. Put the seat lower downwards on the floor. (Fig.15)
2. Put the footrest into the seat lower. (Fig. 16)
3. Put the seat middle into the seat lower. (Fig. 17)
4. Put the seat upper into the seat middle. (Fig. 18)
5. Put the backrest into the seat upper. (Fig. 19)
6. Put the tray into the front side of the seat lower. (Fig.20)

CAUTION

- Keep the disassembled product out of children's reach. - Please keep all disassembled parts and accessories into the seat lower for compact storage.

MAINTENANCE

Clean the high chair and accessories with a damp cloth. For stubborn stains, clean with diluted neutral detergent.
