At the time of its introduction on the market the product fulfills the requirements, which were specified in the directive for the standardization of the laws of the Member States concerning the electromagnetic compatibility (2014/30/EU) of electrical equipment within certain voltage limits (2014/35/EU). This product is identified by the CE marking and delivered with a declaration of conformity for inspection by the market monitoring authority.

9.2 Intended use
The appliance is intended for private/household use. It is suitable for roasting/baking and cooking food.
- Do not use the appliance for purposes other than baking/grilling/cooking food. The manufacturer accepts no liability for any damage.
- For safety reasons, modifications or alterations to the appliance are not permitted.
- The appliance is not suitable for integration in a fitted kitchen!
Any use outside these areas of application is not in accordance with the intended use and is therefore considered improper use.
9.3 Improper use
The following activities are considered improper use and are therefore prohibited:
- Do not operate any electrical appliances inside the baking chamber that have not been approved by the manufacturer.
- The appliance is not suitable for commercial use.
- Do not set up the appliance outdoors.
- Do not connect the appliance to the mains power supply using multiple socket strips.
- Do not route the mains power cable under voltage.
- Do not kink the mains power cable.
- Set up the appliance so that the mains plug is accessible at all times.
- Do not pull the mains plug out of the plug socket at the mains power cable.
- Never store anything on the hob surface.
- Never store highly flammable substances above or below the appliance.
- If the appliance is switched on inadvertently, the parts may be deformed or could catch fire.
- Do not place aluminium foil or plastic on the hob.
- Keep everything away from the hot hob that can melt, e.g. plastics, foil, especially sugar and foods with a high sugar content.
- Keep electrical appliances away from the hot hob.
Take particular care when roasting: - Oil and fat can catch fire.
- Never try to extinguish burning oil or fat with water.

Children must not be allowed to play with the appliance. Keep small children (under 8 years) away from the appliance. - Cleaning and servicing by the user must not be carried out by children unless they are supervised.
Children may only use this appliance if they have been trained. They must be able to operate the appliance correctly and understand the dangers referred to in the instruction manual.
9.5 Residual risks

- Never touch the mains plug on the mains power cable with wet or damp hands when plugging it in or unplugging it.
- Install and connect the appliance only in accordance with the description in the instruction manual.

In an emergency, immediately disconnect the power supply with the switch on the fuse box.

Before any cleaning or maintenance procedure, disconnect the power supply with the switch on the fuse box.
- A damaged mains power cable must be replaced by our After Sales Service without delay.
- If the mains power cable or mains plug is damaged, do not use the appliance any more.
- Do not carry out any work on the appliance other than the cleaning and service work described in this instruction manual.

An inadequate circulation of air can cause a build-up of heat that can lead to a fire.
9.6 General safety instructions
Always switch the appliance off after use. In the case of an emergency, switch off the fuse immediately.
DANGER
ELECTRIC SHOCK HAZARD
- Never touch an electrical appliance when your hands or feet are wet or when you are barefoot.

Never use an electrical appliance outdoors.

The installation work and electrical cabling may only be carried out by professionals in accordance with all the relevant regulations and standards applicable in your country, including the fire protection measures. The appliance must be installed by qualified personnel or technicians.

Please never carry out this work yourself.
- If the minimum clearances are not observed, there is danger to people and the appliance.
- The electrical safety of this appliance is only guaranteed when it is connected to a properly earthed system and complies with the electrical safety standards.
- A damaged power supply cable must be replaced by the supplier, dealer or After Sales Service without delay. If cable or plug connections are damaged, do not use the appliance any longer.
- Do not use multiple socket strips or power extension cables.
- Switch off the appliance and allow to cool down before all cleaning or service work.

- Never use a steam cleaner for cleaning. Moisture could get into electrical components.

During initial start-up, heat the cleared and closed baking chamber - without accessories - for 45 minutes at maximum temperature. During the heating-up process, the heat eliminates any possible production residues.

The manufacturer declines all liability for injury and damage resulting from failure to comply with the information and instructions for installation, service and operation of the appliance.
Procedure in case of fire:
NEVER extinguish a fire with water.
1. Switch off the appliance: Close the energy supply at all energy controllers/selector switches and switch off the household fuse.
2. Carefully cover flames, e.g. with a cover or fire blanket.
3. If fire spreads, call the fire brigade, inform people you live with and leave the house.
10 Setting up the appliance
Before opening, check the packaging for damage.
ATTENTION
APPLIANCE DAMAGE!
Carefully open the packaging. Do not use sharp knives or other pointed objects to open the packaging.
Unpack the appliance as follows:
Check if the delivery is complete.
Check the appliance and the individual parts for damage. If this is the case, do not use the appliance. Contact After Sales Service. www.ggv-service.de
HOT SURFACES! KEEP CHILDREN AWAY!
Ensure good ventilation of the room so that odours and smoke can be dispelled quickly. Depending on the situation, possibly open windows or switch on the ventilation.
9.7 Enamel coating
During normal use, the enamel coating may change colour. This is completely normal and does not represent an impairment of the function and other usage characteristics of the appliance and is therefore not a defect in the sense of warranty law.
10.8Using for the first time
Cleaning the appliance
Before using the appliance for the first time, clean all parts of the appliance as described in the "Cleaning" section.
Setting up the appliance
Mount the appliance according to the figure "Getting to know the appliance".
Place the appliance in the middle of a table out of reach of children.
Place the appliance on a solid table; do not use a soft base.
Mounting the handles
- Turn the hob over and place it on a soft, flat surface.
- Place the handles on the side of the plate so that the holes in the handles line up with the holes in the plate.
- Take the screws (1) and insert them into the holes provided (2).
- Tighten the screws with a Phillips screwdriver.

Do not tighten the screws with force so that the plastic of the handles does not break.

11 Electrical connection
To ensure safe and fault-free operation of the appliance, the following instructions must be observed when making the electrical connection:
Before connecting the appliance, compare the connection data (voltage and frequency) on the type plate with those of your electrical network. This data must match to prevent damage to the appliance. If in doubt, contact a qualified electrician.
The socket must be protected by a 16A circuit breaker.
√ If an extension cable is used, it must have a cross-section of at least 1.5 mm².
12 Operating the hob
Clean the appliance thoroughly before putting into operation.
Clean the hob with a damp cloth and wipe dry. For further information, see Cleaning and Maintenance.
DANGER
RISK OF INJURY
If the hob can no longer be switched off due to a defect, immediately switch off the household fuse and contact After Sales Service.
If necessary, contact After Sales Service.

CAUTION
To avoid damage to the hob, keep the hob dry. Wet pots can damage the hob.

WARNING
RISK OF BURNS FROM HOT SURFACES!
The hob and the surrounding area heat up.
- Never touch hot surfaces.
- Switch off the appliance as soon as cooking is finished.
- Do not use the hob without a pot or pan.
Keep very vulnerable persons, children under 8 years and pets away from the appliance.

WARNING
ELECTRICAL SHOCK DUE TO DEFECTIVE HOB!
The hob cannot be switched off.
- Switch off or unscrew the household fuse immediately and contact After Sales Service.
- Do not carry out repairs on the appliance yourself.
Suitable cookware
- The cooking surface and the bottom of the pot or pan must always be clean and dry.
- Pots and pans with a flawless, smooth bottom.
- For heat-resistant cookware, follow the manufacturer's instructions.
- Do not use pots made of plastic or whose inside is coated with aluminium.
Damage to the hob due to rough pot bottoms.
ATTENTION
Use only undamaged cookware.
Clean the hob after each use.
- Wipe off the hob with a damp cloth and a little detergent.
- Wipe the hob dry with a clean cloth.
- Remove any splashes of food or grease immediately.
- For further cleaning instructions, see chapter Cleaning and Maintenance.
Switching on the hob
- Plug in the mains power cable of the appliance.
- Place the pot or pan on the hob and set the power regulator to the desired power.
The heating indicator light starts to light up until the set power is reached.
- Turn the power regulator to "0/Off".
→ The appliance switches off.

CAUTION
FIRE HAZARD!
After finishing cooking, turn the power regulator to "0". Otherwise, the appliance is in operation.

The indicator light is only lit during the heating process. When the appliance has reached the temperature according to the set power level, the control light goes out.
Setting the power level
To cook food, set the power selector to the desired power.
"MIN" = >2
(Reheating, keeping warm)
"MAX" => 5
(Boil, sauté, heat quickly)
Do not touch the appliance during cooking, there is a risk of burns.
13 Cleaning and maintenance
Before carrying out any cleaning or maintenance work, switch off the appliance, disconnect the mains plug from the socket and allow it to cool down completely.

Leaks on the hob
Never use a steam cleaner for cleaning. Moisture could get into electrical components.

CAUTION
RISK OF SCALDING FROM HOT WATER DURING CLEANING.
Select the water temperature so that there is no risk of scalding!

CAUTION
RISK OF CUTTING INJURIES WHEN USING RAZOR-BLADE SCRAPERS.
Clean the hob with a damp cloth and wipe dry with a dry cloth.
Clean soiling with hot water and washing-up liquid.
Wipe up spilled food, food residues and splashed fat immediately.
In the following cases, immediately switch the power supply to "0" and
-
in case of residues of sugar, clean the surface with hot water.
-
For fragments of aluminium foil and accidentally melted plastic/plastic material, treat the surface with hot water and steel wool.
- Remove stubborn soiling using special cleaning agents.
- If it is not possible to correct the error, please contact After Sales Service. On no account should you carry out any further work, particularly not on the electrical parts of the appliance.
14 Practical cooking tips
Below you will find some important tips on how to use the new hob and cookware in an energy-saving and efficient way.
- The pot base diameter should be the same size or only slightly larger than the hob diameter.
- When buying pots, note that frequently the diameter at the top of the pot is indicated. The diameter at the top of the pot, however, is generally larger than the bottom of the pot.
- Due to their closed cooking chamber and the pressure, pressure cookers are particularly rime and energy-efficient. Short cooking time preserves vitamins.
- Always make sure there is a sufficient amount of liquid in the pressure cooker, as the hob and the cooker can be damaged by overheating if the cooker is empty.
- If possible, always close pots with the matching lid.
Use the right pot for the quantity of food to be cooked. - Use the residual heat. Switch off the appliance a little earlier and leave the food to cook for another 5 minutes.
- The figures in the tables are indicative values only.

15 Warranty terms
The following terms describing the preconditions for and scope of our warranty, do not infringe the warranty rights of the ultimate buyer.
Our warranty for this appliance is granted under the following terms:
As the purchaser of an exquisite appliance, you have a manufacturer's warranty (2 years from the date of purchase).
During this warranty period, you can make your warranty claims directly on the manufacturer's Service platform at www.ggv-service.de
If an additional warranty is concluded between you and your dealer, all claims against the manufacturer will become void after the end of the 24-month manufacturer's warranty. In this case, please contact your dealer directly.
Warranty period
The warranty period is 24 months from the date of purchase (proof of purchase must be presented). During the first 6 months, After Sales Service will fix defects in the appliance free of charge, on condition that the appliance is accessible for repairs without any great effort. During the following 18 months, the buyer is obliged to prove that the defect already existed at the time of delivery.
In the case of commercial use (e.g. in hotels, canteens) or joint use by several households, the warranty period is 12 months from the date of purchase (proof of purchase must be presented). During the first 6 months, After Sales Service will fix defects in the appliance free of charge, on condition that the appliance is accessible for repairs without any great effort. During the following 6 months, the buyer is obliged to prove that the defect already existed at the time of delivery.
The claim under warranty does not prolong the warranty period for either the appliance or for newly installed parts.
Scope of the defect remedy
Within the periods indicated, we will remedy all defects in the appliance that are demonstrably attributable to poor workmanship or material flaws. Replaced parts become our property.
The warranty does not cover:
Normal wear and tear, intentional or negligent damage, damage caused by non-compliance with the operating instructions, improper set-up or installation or by connection to incorrect mains voltage, damage due to chemical or electrothermal effects or due to other abnormal environmental conditions, glass, paint or enamel damage and possible colour differences as well as defective bulbs.
Defects in the appliance resulting from transport damage are also not covered. We also do not provide any services if - without our special written approval - work has been carried out on the appliance by unauthorised persons or parts of third-party origin have been used.
This limitation shall not apply to faultless work carried out by a qualified person using our original parts to adapt the appliance to the technical safety regulations of another EU member state.
Scope
Our warranty applies to appliances purchased and in operation in the Federal Republic of Germany or Austria.
In the case of complaints about defective appliances, the sender's and recipient's addresses must be in the Federal Republic of Germany or Austria.
For appliances purchased and operated in other European countries, the warranty conditions of the seller apply.
For repairs outside the warranty period:
If an appliance is repaired, the repair invoices are payable immediately without deduction.
16 Disposal
Disposal of packaging materials
Sort packaging materials before disposal. Paper and cardboard with the waste paper and plastic film in the recycled materials bin.
Disposing of old appliances (EN)
Old appliances must not be disposed of with household waste
The symbol of the crossed-out wheeled bin on the product or its packaging means that the appliance must not be disposed of with household waste but requires separate disposal. You can return the old appliance free of charge to a suitable municipal collection point for old electrical and electronic equipment, e.g. a recycling centre. You can obtain the addresses from your city administration or local government.
Alternatively, you can return old electrical appliances with an edge length of up to 25cm free of charge to retailers with a sales area for electrical and electronic equipment of at least 400m^2 or food retailers with a total sales area of at least 800m^2 who offer electrical and electronic equipment at least several times a year.
Larger old appliances can be returned free of charge to an appropriate retailer when purchasing a new appliance of the same type that performs essentially the same functions as the new appliance. Please contact your dealer regarding the modalities of returning an old appliance when delivering the new appliance.
Please remove - if possible - all (rechargeable) batteries as well as all lamps that can be removed without destroying them before disposing of the product.
Please note that you are responsible for deleting personal data from the appliance to be disposed of.
Children can often not recognise the hazards associated with household appliances. Ensure the necessary supervision and do not let children play with the appliance.
