Frequently Asked Questions - VV-CGQJD-LDJ-8T Vevor

How to use the Vevor VV-CGQJD-LDJ-8T jack?
Before use, estimate the weight of the load (max 8 tons). Place the jack on hard ground, insert the notched end of the handle into the release valve and turn it clockwise to close the valve. Insert the handle into the socket and pump to lift the load. To lower, slowly turn the valve counterclockwise. Never work under an unsupported load.
How to add hydraulic oil?
Fully lower the saddle and push in the pump piston. Place the jack upright, remove the oil fill plug. Fill until oil reaches the lower edge of the port. Use only high quality hydraulic oil. Screw the plug back on.
What to do if the jack does not lift the load?
First check that the release valve is fully closed. Ensure the load does not exceed 8 tons. Bleed air from the system by opening the fill plug with the jack fully retracted. If the problem persists, check the oil level and contact after-sales service.
How to lower the jack safely?
Remove the pressure handle. Using the slotted end of the handle, turn the release valve slightly counterclockwise to loosen it. The piston rod will descend slowly. Do not turn quickly, as rapid descent is dangerous. Ensure all personnel are clear.
What is the maximum weight this jack can lift?
The maximum lifting capacity is 8 tons. Never exceed this load, as overloading can damage the jack or cause dangerous failure.
What are the important safety instructions?
Never work under a load supported only by the jack; use jack stands of appropriate capacity. Place the jack on hard, stable ground. Do not drop the load suddenly. Do not use for purposes other than lifting with a crane. Read the entire manual before use.
How to maintain the jack?
Regularly check the oil level and lubricate pivot points, axles, and hinges with light oil. Clean the piston and cylinder with an oily cloth; never use sandpaper. Perform a complete oil change at least once a year. Store the jack with the piston retracted.
What to do if the jack does not retract completely?
This may be due to an overfilled reservoir or blocked linkages. Remove excess oil to the correct level. Clean and lubricate moving parts. If the problem persists, contact technical service.
Where to find the full manual and support?
The full manual is available for free download at notice-facile.com. For technical support and electronic warranty certificate, visit www.vevor.com/support.
Can I use this jack alone or with a crane?
This jack is designed to be used with a crane to lift heavier loads. It should not be used as the sole load support. The load must be immediately supported by appropriate means (jack stands) after lifting.

Warning:

For your safety and to prevent injury, please read very carefully the following warnings and operating instructions:

- This is just a lift drive, which is designed to be used with cranes for heavier loads. Do not use this product for any purpose other than for which it was intended.

- This is a lifting device only, designed to be used with lift heavier loads. Do not overload; overloading may cause damage or failure of the unit. Do not use this product for any purpose other than that for which it was intended.

- Load must be supported immediately by other appropriate means. Never work on, under, or around load until it is properly supported on appropriately rated jack stands.

- Do not drop load suddenly, as resulting shock to unit may cause damage. Unit must be fully retracted before adding oil. Fill to lower of filling hole. Use only high quality hydraulic fluid. Do not use brake fluid or any other type of improper fluids that may cause damage to unit.

● All mounting hardware must be tight before using.

- Read, study, understand, and follow all instructions before use or maintenance.

- It is owner's responsibility to keep labels and manuals are available from the manufacturer. Failure to heed these and all other warnings pertaining to this product can result in sudden loss of lifted load resulting in death, personal injury, or property damage.

Caution:

Use the handle provided for this product or an authorized replacement handle to ensure proper release valve operation.

OPERATION INSTRUCTIONS:

  1. Before operating, estimate the weight of the load. Do not overload the jack beyond its rated load.
  2. Select point of action according to the gravitational center. Place the jack on hard ground. If necessary, place a hard plank under the jack to avoid tottering or falling during operation.
  3. Before operating the jack, first, insert the notched end of the handle into the release valve. Turn the operating handle clockwise until release valve is closed. Do not over tighten the valve.
  4. Insert the operating handle into the socket and steadily raise and lower the handle. The ram will rise, and the load will be lifted. The ram will stop rising when the required height is reached.
  5. Lower the ram by turning the release valve. Using the notched end, turn it counter-clockwise and slacken it slowly when a load is applied, or accidents can occur.
  6. When more than one jack is used at the same time, it is important to operate the different jacks at an equal speed with equal load. Otherwise, there is a danger of the entire structure falling.
  7. At an ambient temperature from 27°F to 113°F, use machine oil (G8443-84) N15. At an ambient temperature from 4°F to 27°F, use synthetic spindle oil (GB442-64). Sufficient filtered hydraulic oil should be maintained in the jacks. Otherwise, the rated height cannot be reached.
  8. Violent shocks must be avoided during operation.

9. The user must operate the jack correctly according to the operating instructions. If the jack has some quality problems, it cannot be operated.

To raise:

  1. Using the slotted opening at the end of the handle, turn the release valve clockwise to tighten it.
  2. Put the handle in the pressing handle holder and press up and down. The piston rod will rise slowly till the height you need. Then immediately tra

the load to appropriately-rated support devices such as jack stands.

To lower:

Remove the pressing handle. Using the slotted opening at the end of the handle, turn the release valve slightly counterclockwise to loosen it. Then the piston rod will move down slowly. When loaded, the release should not be turned quickly, otherwise too speedy lowering will lead to danger.

Loosen the pressure relief valve

Warning:

Be sure all tools and personnel are clear before lowering load. Danger: dynamic shock loads are created by quickly opening and closing the release valve as the load is being lowered. The resulting overload may cause hydraulic system failure, which could cause severe personal injury and/or property damage.

FOR SAFETY'S SAKE

Lifting weight should not exceed the specified duty of this jack.

Without a supporting rack, it is not allowed to work under the lifted heavy load after it is raised.

ROUTINE MAINTENANCE

Proper quantity of oil should be maintained, otherwise the specified lift height would not be reached.

To avoid damaging, the jack should be kept from shocking while in operation.

The jack is not allowed to stand on one side or upside down.

This product is not suitable for the operation environment full of acid or alkaline corrosive air.

Adding oil

  1. With saddle fully lowered and pump piston fully depressed, set jack upright, level position. Remove oil filler plug.
  2. Fill until oil is level with the filler plug hole, reinstall oil filler plug.

Changing oil

For best performance and longest life, replace the complete fluid supply at once per year.

  1. With saddle fully lowered and pump piston fully depressed, remove the oil plug.
  2. Lay the jack on its side and drain the fluid into a suitable container.

Note: Dispose of hydraulic fluid in accordance with local regulations.

  1. Fill with good quality jack oil. Reinstall oil filler plug.

Pour out the oil

Lubrication

  1. A coating of light lubricating oil to pivot points, axles, and hinges will prevent rust and assure that wheels, casters, and pump assemblies move freely.
  2. Periodically check the pump piston and ram for signs of rust or corrosion. Clean as needed and wipe with an oily cloth.

Caution: Never use sandpaper or abrasive material on these surfaces.

  1. When not in use, store the jack with pump piston and ram fully retracted.
