Frequently Asked Questions - XF180 Vevor

How to install the Vevor XF180 smoke extractor?
Make sure the device is unplugged. Place it on a stable surface, adjust the bamboo tube to the recommended distance of 10-15 cm from the smoke source. Plug in the power and select the desired speed.
How to replace the filter?
Turn off the power. Open the two buckles, remove the top cover, take out the old filter and insert the new one. Replace the cover without forcing. Follow the replacement cycles: primary filter 7-30 days, internal filter 3-6 months, external filter 6-12 months.
Why is the airflow low?
Check that the air inlet is not blocked. If the filter is saturated, replace it. Check the air outlet. If the problem persists, reduce the speed to minimum and restart.
What to do if the machine stops automatically?
This may be due to excessive filter resistance. Turn off the power, check for blockages. If none, restart at the lowest speed.
How to clean the extractor?
Unplug the device. Clean the exterior with a damp cloth. The bamboo tube should be cleaned regularly. Do not use abrasive products.
What is the ideal distance between the extractor and the smoke source?
Vevor recommends a distance of 10 to 15 cm for optimal effect.
Can the extractor be used outdoors?
No, it is designed for indoor use only. Do not use it in a humid or high-temperature environment (above 80°C) or flammable environment.
How to adjust the speed?
Use the rotary knob: low temperature (1), medium range (2), high range (3), stop (4). The corresponding speeds are low, medium, and high.
Is the warranty valid if I disassemble the device?
No, the warranty sticker must not be damaged. Opening the machine voids the warranty. For any maintenance, contact customer service.
Where to find spare parts?
Contact customer service via www.vevor.com/support. Replacement filters are available from authorized dealers.

  • When not in use for a long time, the power should be disconnected and the machine switch closed.

  • The longer the pipe, the weaker the smoking effect. (VEVOR advises: Adjust the direction of the fan or air conditioner outlet around the smoke hood that produces airflow. You can also make a seal to block the effect of airflow.)
  • The longer the pipe, the less effective it is to smoke. (VEVOR advises: The branch of the smoking pipe can be up to 1.4 meters.)
  • The more frequently the pipe is changed, the weaker the smoking effect is. (VEVOR advises: Cut as few corners as you can.)

OPERATION INSTRUCTIONS

  • The power input of the machine shall be used within the specified rated voltage range (according to the power mark on the body). It is forbidden to use voltages that are too high or too low. Turn off the machine and unplug the power cord if you find that the voltage is not stable.
  • When using the machine, the ambient temperature range of the gas and dust inhaled into the suction mouth is at room temperature of 50 °C. It is forbidden to use above or below this temperature range.
  • When using the machine, the humidity of the gas and dust inhaled by the inlet is 40% - 80%. Excessive humidity will quickly invalidate the filter and damage the internal circuit of the machine, and it is forbidden to use when the humidity is higher than 80%.
  • It is forbidden to use the machine without a filter core. The direct inhalation of soot or dust particles into the machine will cause damage to the fan and control system. The use of the machine in the above state caused by the time of maintenance at your own expense will cause you greater losses.
  • It is forbidden to continue to use the machine after the filter is severely blocked,

which will greatly shorten the service life of the machine and even cause damage to the machine. The machine should be cleaned and maintained regularly, and the filter tube should be replaced regularly. To ensure that the machine works in good condition.

- When your machine filter is less clogged, suction is reduced, or when the filter core fails to remove odor, use the filter tube strictly. Please replace the filter cartridge with the original configuration.

- It is forbidden to open the interior of the machine for maintenance. The warranty sticker on the fuselage is the only proof that you enjoy after-sales service. Please do not tear up or damage the warranty sticker on the fuselage.

FAULT HANDLING

Vevor XF180 - FAULT HANDLING - 1

Please cut off the power before checking and repairing the equipment.

- Phenomenon: The system is still working, but the wind volume is weak and inhalation force is greatly reduced.

Reason: The air inlet is blocked or the filter fails to reach saturation.

Check: turn off the power, open the top cover, check whether there is something plugged into the air mouth. Check the air outlet for blockage. If there is no difference in inspection and treatment, reboot. If the wind volume is small, the filter should be replaced.

- Phenomenon: Automatic shutdown immediately after the machine is started, re-open and repeat the above phenomenon.

Reason: The internal air flow is impassable, the filter core resistance is too high, causing the fan to start with too much current, automatic protection shutdown. Check: turn off the power, open the top cover, check whether there is a foreign body plugged into the air mouth; If there is no difference in inspection and treatment, set the file position to a minimum, and then reboot to a suitable wind level.
