How to install the faucet adapter?

Choose the adapter suitable for your faucet (15/16" or 55/64"). Make sure the sealing washer is correctly placed. You can also use the thread seal tape for a better seal.

How to connect the quick connect fitting?

Assemble the female connector to the water inlet with the gasket. Then, grasp the sliding collar, slide it down, and push the female end onto the male end. The collar locks automatically.

How to prevent sand from entering the gravel tube?

If sand enters, adjust the gravel tube valve to reduce water flow. This allows cleaning debris without sucking up the substrate.

Why is the water not flowing well?

Check that the PVC hose is not bent or blocked, and that the filter screen is clean. Ensure the water outlet is lower than the aquarium surface to create a siphon.

How to refill the aquarium after draining?

Close the gravel tube valve, push the outlet to 'fill' position (upward), open the gravel tube valve, then open the faucet to fill to the desired level.

What is the recommended frequency of water changes?

Change 10% of the water weekly or 25% monthly. Use a water conditioner with each addition of fresh tap water.

What to do if the water level drops too fast?

Reduce the flow by partially closing the gravel tube valve. This slows the suction and prevents too rapid a drop.

The faucet adapter leaks, what to do?

Check that the sealing washer is properly installed and use the thread seal tape to reinforce the connection.

Can I use this device with hot or cold water?

No, do not use water that is too hot or too cold as it may damage the device and stress the fish. Ensure the replacement water temperature is similar to the aquarium.

How to maintain the device?

Water Flow Assembly

Setup:

1. Adapter installation:

Choose the right adapter to fit your faucet. Make sure washer has been properly fitted, and you may also use thread

seal tape for a better sealing.

The seal washer is very important!

2. Quick Connection:

a. Assemble the female connector to the water inlet. Make sure the washer has

been properly fitted.

b. Connect the female end to the male end of the Quick Connect F

Step 1: Grip the sliding collar

Step 3: Push up the female end to connect

Note: after connection, the sliding collar will lock automatically.

3. Hose connection:

Unscrew the nut, thread the hose through the nut, securely connect in the hose barb, and then tighten the nut to secure connection.

Cleaning

a. Install waterfall assembly to faucet using the included faucet adapto

b. Close the gravel tube valve.

c. Submerge the gravel tube in the aquarium water. (Tip: do not bend the hose; keep it smooth, otherwise it may cause slow water flow.)

d. Open the gravel tube valve and turn on the faucet.

e. Open the gravel tube valve to begin vacuuming. If sand enters the gravel tube, adjust the valve on the gravel tube to reduce water flow. As water is being removed, you can use the water changer to siphon dirt and waste from the gravel or substrate in the aquarium. Move the gravel tube around the tank, allowing the suction to pick up any unwanted materials. (Tip: Make sure the water flow is strong enough to agitate the gravel to suck out debris.)

Note: To effectively create a siphon effect, the water outlet should be positioned lower than the water surface of the aquarium. The height difference creates the necessary pressure differential for the siphoning process to occur, as gravity will pull the water from the higher point (aquarium) to the lower point (the outlet).

Filling

a. Securely lay the gravel tube inside the aquarium, close the gravel valve.

b. Push up and rotate the outlet (i.e., close the valve).

c. Open the gravel tube valve, turn on the faucet to fill the aquarium to the appropriate water level.

Tips for Efficient Use:

a. Regularly Clean the Filter Screen: Prevent clogging and maintain proper water flow by routinely cleaning the filter screen. b. Adjust the Flow Control: If the water flow is too fast, adjust the tube valve to a lower setting. c. Avoid Disturbing the Substrate: Prevent clouding the water by avoiding substrate disturbance while using the vacuum. d. Healthy Water Change Routine: To maintain a healthy aquarium, change 10% of the water weekly or 25% monthly. Use a water conditioner (sold separately) each time you add fresh tap water to your aquarium. e. The water pressure should not be lower than 0.07 MPa. f.
