1 Important safety and environmental instructions

Read rules for safe operation and instructions carefully.

1.1 General safety

  • If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by manufacturer or its service agent or a similarly qualified person in order to avoid a hazard.
  • Indoor use only.
  • To protect against the risk of electrical shock, do not immerse the unit, cord or plug in water or other liquid.
  • This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved.

Children shall not play with the appliance. Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children without supervision.

  • When the appliance is not in use and before cleaning, unplug the appliance from the outlet.
  • When the fan was assembled, the rotor blade guard shall not be taken off anymore.
  • If the instructions state that the guard has to be removed for cleaning purposes, the instructions shall state the substance of the following: Ensure that the fan is switched off from the supply mains before removing the guard.
  • When the fan was assembled, the rotor blade guard shall not be taken off anymore.
  • Prior cleaning unplug the fan.

1 Important safety and environmental instructions

- The rotor guard shall not be dissembled/opened to clean the rotor blades.

– Wipe the fan enclosure and rotor blade guard with a slightly damp cloth.

  • Disconnect fan when moving from one location to another.

  • Do not use fan in window, rain may create electrical hazard.
  • Household use only.

3 Installation

3.1 Assembly

The fan is packaged with some parts unattached and requiring a little, simple assembly.

WARNING: Do not operate until fully assembled and with all parts correctly attached.

Operate the fan only in the upright position.

  1. Unpack the fan and remove all the parts from the package. Retain the packaging until assembly is complete.
  2. Put the two halves of the base together. See step 1
  3. Position the base on the bottom of the fan, put the power cord through the base and make sure clasps on tower fan body is align with the holes on the base. See step 2.
  4. Then rotate the base clockwise until the it is locked. Finally thread the power cord into the guide on the bottom of the base by gently pressing the wire into the clamps. See step 3.

4 Operation

4.1 Control panel

Turn the speed control to operate the fan for the selected fan speed and oscillation function.

"1" for low fan speed only
"2" for medium fan speed only,
"3" for high fan speed only,
"0" for power off

Oscillation:

Digitals with"←" for oscillation function.

For timer operation, turn the timer control clockwise to operate the fan for the selected duration.

Note that with the power disconnected, the timer will continue to count down and stop at the '0' position. When the fan is reconnected to the mains, the timer control will need to be adjusted for either timed or continuous operation.

5.1 Maintenance instructions

Before cleaning and assembling, fan must be unplugged.

WARNING: Do not use any abrasive detergent or solvents to avoid scratching the surface. Do not use any of the following as a cleaner: gasoline, thinner.

  • To ensure adequate air circulation to the motor, keep vents at the rear of the motor free of dust. Do not disassemble the fan to remove dust.
  • Please wipe the exterior parts with a soft cloth soaking a mild detergent.

WARNING: Do not allow water or any other liquid into the motor housing or interior parts.

  • Plastic parts should be cleaned with a soft cloth moisten with mild soap.
  • Thoroughly remove soap film with dry cloth.

5.2 Handling and transportation

  • During handling and transportation, carry the appliance in its original packaging. The packaging of the appliance protects it against physical damages.
  • Do not place heavy loads on the appliance or on the packaging. The appliance may get damaged.
  • Dropping the appliance may render it non operational or cause permanent damage.
