Battery instructions

- This appliance contains an irreplaceable battery.

  • This appliance includes a Li-ion battery. Do not incinerate or expose it to high temperatures, as it may explode.
  • WARNING: to recharge the battery, use only the power cord supplied with the appliance.
  • The battery may leak under extreme conditions. Do not touch any liquid that leaks from the battery. If the liquid comes into contact with skin, wash immediately with soap and water. If the liquid gets into the eyes, wash them immediately with clean water for a minimum of 10 minutes and seek medical attention. Wear gloves to handle the battery and dispose of it immediately in accordance with local regulations.
  • Keep batteries out of the reach of children when there is a risk of ingestion.
  • Battery ingestion can cause burns, perforation of soft tissue, and death. Severe burns may occur within two hours of ingestion.
  • In case of battery ingestion, please seek medical help immediately.

2. BEFORE USE

  • This appliance is packaged in a way as to protect it during transport. Take the appliance out of its box and remove all packaging materials. You can keep the original box and other packaging elements in a safe place to prevent damage to the appliance if you need to transport it in the future. If you wish to dispose of the original packaging, make sure all packaging materials are recycled accordingly.
  • Make sure all parts and components are included and in good conditions. If there is any piece missing or in bad conditions, contact the official Cecotec Technical Support Service immediately.
  • Do not remove the serial number of the appliance in order to keep a correct traceability of it in case of assistance.

3. OPERATION

Charging the device

  1. Insert the charger connector into the charging port located on the base of the device.
  2. Then connect the other end of the USB cable to a compatible power adapter and plug the adapter into a power socket.
  3. When the device is charging, the corresponding indicator light will turn on red.
  4. When the hair clipper is fully charged, the indicator light will turn on white.

Guide combs

This hair clipper includes 6 guide combs of the following lengths: 13 mm, 10 mm, 6 mm, 4.5 mm, 3 mm and 1.5 mm.

They are ideal for achieving different cutting styles with ease.

Attaching the guide comb

  1. Align the guide comb with the cutting edge of the blades.
  2. Gently push it forward until it fits snugly.

Removing the guide comb

To remove it, simply pull it out.

A. Removing the blade assembly

  1. Remove the blade assembly by pressing it with your thumb, as shown in figure 4.
  2. When removing it, hold it with the other hand to prevent it from falling.

B. Fitting the blade assembly

  1. To fit the blade assembly (B), insert it into the corresponding slot in the device (A). Fig. 5
  2. Then press it gently until it fits completely into place. Fig. 6

4. CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

  • Turn off and disconnect the appliance from the mains supply before cleaning, servicing it, or assembling or disassembling any of its parts.
  • Clean the appliance after every use.

Cleaning the blades

Clean the blades with the brush provided.

Aligning the blades

  • This device has been carefully checked to ensure that the blades have been lubricated and aligned before leaving the factory.
  • The blades must be realigned if they have been removed for cleaning or if they have been replaced.
  • To realign them, simply match the teeth of the upper and lower blades. The end of the upper blade teeth should be approximately 0.5-1.0 mm from the lower blade, as shown in figure 7.
  • If the blades are not correctly aligned, apply a few drops of lubricating oil and keep the device switched on for a while, then switch it off. Then loosen the screws slightly and align the blades. Once aligned, retighten the screws.

Maintenance

  • Please note that in order to keep the device in optimum condition, the blades should be lubricated regularly.
  • To lubricate them properly, hold the device with the blades facing downwards. Then switch it on and apply 2-3 drops of lubricating oil on the upper blade. Fig. 8

Note:

  • Do not disassemble the device.
  • Do not get the device wet, even for cleaning.
  • Clean the device with a damp cloth and a little neutral liquid soap.
  • Do not charge the device in a place where the room temperature is higher than 40 °C or lower than 0 °C.
  • It is normal for the device to heat up slightly during operation or charging.
  • When the battery has reached the end of its useful life, remove it and dispose of it in a suitable place.
  • Do not tap the device or the blade against a surface to remove hair or water, as this may damage the product and the blade. Replace the blade if it is damaged.

  • TROUBLESHOOTING

The head screws are loose. Carefully tighten the head screws.

Unstable plug connection. Make sure that the charger is properly connected.
The device gets too hot. Prolonged use without breaks.Turn off the device and let it cool down for a few minutes.
Apply lubricating oil to the blades.
