GENERAL SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

1. This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved. Children must never play with the appliance. Cleaning and user maintenance must never be carried out by children without supervision.
2. Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.
3. Keep the appliance and the cable cord out of the reach of children less than 8 years old.
4. WARNING: In order to ensure your children's safety, please keep all packaging (plastic bags, boxes, polystyrene etc.) out of their reach.
5. If the supply cord is damaged it must be repaired by the Authorized Service Agent in order to avoid hazards.
6. Never pull on the cord when unplugging.
7. Do not use the unit with a damaged cord or plug, or if it is not working properly.

8. Do not handle the appliance with wet hands.

9. Never immerse the appliance in water or any other liquid.

10. Make sure the appliance has been unplugged before cleaning.
11. This appliance must be installed following the national regulations for electrical installations.

Other specific safeguards

. The iron must not be left unattended while it is connected to the supply mains.
- Remove the plug from the socket before filling the appliance with water.
. The filling hole should not be open during operation
- The appliance must be used and placed on a stable surface.
- When placed on its stand, make sure that the surface on which the stand is placed is stable.

• The iron should not be used if it has been dropped, if there are visible signs of damage or if it is leaking water.
• Keep the iron and its cord out of reach of children less than 8 years of age when it is energized or cooling down.

The surface can become hot during operation

The soleplate of the iron can become extremely hot and may cause burns if touched.

• Do not allow the cord to come into contact with the soleplate when it is hot.
• When you have finished ironing, when you clean the appliance, when you fill or empty the water tank and also when you leave the iron even for a short while: set the steam control to position O, put the iron on its heel and remove the mains plug from the wall socket.

WHEN USING THE VERTICAL IRON FOR THE FIRST TIME, YOU MAY NOTICE A SLIGHT SMOKE EMISSION AND HEAR SOME SOUNDS PRODUCED BY THE EXPANDING PLASTICS. THIS IS QUITE NORMAL AND STOPS AFTER A SHORT TIME. WE ALSO RECOMMEND PASSING THE IRON OVER A NORMAL FABRIC BEFORE USING IT FOR THE FIRST TIME.

FILLING WITH WATER

1. Before filling the tank, unplug the iron.
2. Remove the tank
3. Open the water filling cap and then pour water into the tank using the measuring cup up to a maximum of 230ml.

USE OF THE IRON

Before first use

• Remove any labels or covers from the steam head, straighten and extend the cord before use.
  When using your iron for the first time, allow it to steam for a few minutes. This will remove any impurities and odours that may have been left over during the manufacturing process.

Installation and use

1. Pull out the tank by hand, open the water inlet cover and fill the tank with tap water. Make sure the tank is at least one third full and not above the maximum water level. Then put it back in place.
2. Hold the handle of the vertical iron with one hand and install the fabric brush into the steam head with the other hand. You will hear a "click" when it is installed in the correct position.
3. Plug the device into the power outlet. Turn on the ON/OFF button, the light will turn red, after about 20 seconds, the red light will turn off, you can use the steamer normally. Press the ON/OFF button again to turn off the iron.

Ironing clothes

The vertical iron is very easy to use, suitable for ironing clothes with wrinkles/creases, curtains, as well as refreshing decorative fabrics, it can be used on most fabrics.

Note: The vertical iron is designed for ironing clothes hanging vertically, please avoid using it when the clothes are in a horizontal position.

1. Check if the back of the fabric is breathable to prevent steam from building up on the fabric and making it damp.
2. Check clothing pockets to make sure there are no belongings.
3. Check the back of the clothing for items that are easily damaged by steam.
4. It is recommended not to use the iron near metal accessories on clothes. High temperature steam will cause metal accessories to be damaged.
5. When you press the steam button, you will feel the vibration and hear a subtle humming sound, which is normal.

6. When ironing, gently brush the fabric up and down along the wrinkle.

7. If the fabric brush is not used on the ironing machine, keep the steam head at least 5 cm away from the fabric.

8. If the ironing machine's humming noise becomes louder and no steam is coming out, it means that there is not enough water in the tank. Check the water level and refill the tank if necessary.
9. Release the steam lock button to stop steaming.

After each use

1. When stopping use, press the power switch and disconnect the power cord from the outlet.
2. Remove the tank, open the water inlet cover and empty the tank.
3. Place it vertically on a flat table and wait for the appliance to cool down.

CARE, CLEANING AND STORAGE

• Remove the brush from the steam head and clean it with a damp cloth.
• Do not use harsh or abrasive cleaners or solvents.
• Do not immerse the vertical iron in water or other liquids.
• Do not drop, throw or attempt to bend it.
  o Empty the water tank after each use.
• Avoid storing electrical appliances in humid places.
• Do not approach heat sources or allow direct sunlight on electrical appliances.
• Always make sure that the steam outlet holes are clean, free of stains and free of obstructions.
• It is recommended to store the iron in a flat position, such as in a cupboard.

MAINTENANCE AND TROUBLESHOOTING GUIDE

Problem	Possible solution
The iron does not heat up	● Check that the plug is inserted correctly. ● Check the power outlet. ● Check the power push button.
The iron does not produce steam	● Check that the water level and water tank are full. ● Press the steam button firmly. ● Place the iron in a vertical position.
The tank is leaking	● Make sure the water does not exceed the maximum level. ● Make sure the tank filler cap is closed properly. ● Always keep the iron in an upright position in accordance with the operating instructions provided.
Steam engine has a loud humming or pumping sound	● Check the water level, if there is no water or it is low, fill the tank with water.
Prevent discoloration of metal accessories on clothing	● Do not use the iron directly on metal accessories. ● Use steam with caution when metal accessories are present around it.
