Read the instruction manual and the separately enclosed safety instructions very carefully before using this appliance. Keep these documents, including the warranty certificate, receipt and, if possible, the box with the inner packaging in a safe place. If you pass the appliance on to a third party, always include all the relevant documents.

Unpacking the Appliance

1. Remove the appliance from its packaging.
2. Remove all packaging material, such as foils, filling material, cable ties and cardboard packaging.
3. Check the scope of delivery for completeness.
4. If the contents of the packaging are incomplete or if damage can be detected, do not operate the appliance. Return it to the dealer immediately.
5. There may still be dust or production residues on the appliance. We recommend that you clean the appliance as described under "Cleaning".

Instructions for use/warnings

WARNING: Risk of injury!

Do not handle the grinder with tools or even with your fingers.

After grinding, wait until the blades have come to a standstill before removing the lid.

• Only use the mains cable supplied.
• Do not carry the appliance by the lid, it is not locked.
• Only use the appliance on a non-slip, level surface.

Electrical connection

• Connect the mains cable with the appliance.
• Check that the mains voltage you want to use matches that of the appliance. You will find the information on the type plate.
• Only connect the appliance to a properly installed protective contact socket.

Pulsed operation

Press the lid down at intervals to achieve pulsed operation.

Short-time duty

• The appliance is suitable for short-term operation for a maximum of 30 seconds.
• Do not use the appliance more than three times in immediate succession.
• Let it cool down to room temperature before using it again.

Operation

1. Put the desired amount of coffee beans up to max. 60 g into the container and put the lid back on.
2. Press the lid down with light force. The edge of the lid activates the switch and the blades start to rotate.
3. For an optimal result, work in pulse mode. This allows you to better determine the fineness of the ground material.

In the following, you will find some hints on the fineness of the powder and the respective intended use. Please bear in mind that these are only average values.

Changes are possible, for example, due to the type and roasting of the coffee beans.

Ending operation

1. Pull the mains plug out of the socket.
2. Remove the lid.
3. Transfer the ground coffee to a suitable container.
4. Clean the appliance as described under "Cleaning".

Cleaning

WARNING:

• Always pull the mains plug out of the socket before cleaning!
- Never immerse the appliance in water for cleaning. It could cause an electric shock or fire.
- The cutting surfaces of the blades are sharp. There is a risk of injury! Handle them with the necessary care!

CAUTION:

• Do not use a wire brush or other abrasive objects.

• Do not use any sharp or abrasive cleaning agents.

• To clean the outside of the appliance, use only a damp dishcloth. Dry off with a dry cloth.

• Remove residues of ground coffee with a dry brush.
• Clean the lid in warm rinse water with a little hand dish-washing liquid. Dry with a dry cloth.

Troubleshooting

Problem Possible Cause Remedy
The appliance has no function.	The appliance has no power supply.	Check the power socket with another appliance.
	The appliance is equipped with a circuit breaker. It prevents the appliance from being operated without a lid.	Check that the lid is correctly seated.
	The overheating protection is activated. The motor is too hot.	Let the appliance cool down for at least 10 minutes before restarting.
	The appliance is defective.	Contact our service or a specialist.

Storage

• Clean the unit as described.
  • We recommend storing the appliance in its original packaging if you do not intend to use it for a long period of time.
  • Always store the appliance out of the reach of children in a well-ventilated and dry place.
